I dislike reviews that start "Got these a week ago..." as I like to know what happens after. I got these as a gift for Christmas 2009 from my mom-in-law, who didn't want me to slip on our new wood floors carrying my 10 month old. They were a bit tight to begin with - I could only get a 7, and am normally a 7.5, but they were pretty comfortable from the start. As I look down at them on my feet close to two years later, they look perfect from top-down. However, if I look at the sides, the soles have split from the suede on both outside edges. This happened after the 365 day returns, but I can (and do) wear them quite a lot. They fit well, are very warm - no socks required, the soles allow me not to slip on the wooden floors and I'm able to run outside if I need to. Once the stitching holding on the soles split, I was able to take out the innersole (which had started to crumple uncomfortably) and just have the memory foam inside, so no arch support. I'm looking for another pair of Acorn slippers for this Christmas (thanks in advance, Mom-in-law) and while I'm considering another pair of these, I have to admit I am tempted by the faux chinchilla ones. A good slipper, don't know about value for money, as for the price I would expect more than two years out of them, but definitely am considering another pair of Acorns.

These slippers are not worth buying. I've had other brands that did better than these, even with this type of small rubber sole on the bottom. I would have preferred a full rubber sole that extends out from the upper for stability, but they tend only to make those for men (HA) and I have small feet. The suede uppers stretched out right away, and continue to do so. I don't wear these anymore because my foot slips around inside and/or falls off toward the side of the slipper (in other words, you slip off the sole). I suppose if I were only wearing them to sit around on the couch, they would be okay to keep my feet warm, but even then, they ride low and you cannot pull up the fleece booty top and it's fastened down, so your ankles will get cold. I am a 6 1/2 wide and ordered a 6, which is what most people do with slippers, and they are still too sloppy. I rarely write a bad review but am doing so because I don't think they are safe, especially not for people with poor balance or who are heavy or infirm (I'm thin, healthy and athletic, and I still have had trouble walking in them). These slippers are radically overpriced for a product that you can't really walk in and all you are paying for is the name.

I was very careful in researching these slippers because I have had many high quality pairs over the years, so I know what’s what and I live in cold climates. These Acorn slippers do not slip around while you walk. They are secure outdoors because they have flat, rubberized soles and no heels. They are also extremely warm due to the thick, authentic sheepskin lining that eventually molds to your foot. I wear a 6.5 medium street shoe, sneaker, and boot. I ordered these in a 6 (a half size down) and they fit perfectly. Only comment is that it is too bad manufacturers only make men’s styles come up and cover the ankle. The woman’s style leave the ankles exposed so if you have big feet I would try to order the men’s version. The "cuff" on these is only slightly tacked down so they can be raised, but then the unfinished seams underneath would shoe. I considered doing that, but decided against. So you can wear these with socks if you order a half size up, but that kind of defeats (de-feets --- get it?) the purpose. Thanks Zappos for the accuracy of your product reports and to the other reviewers for making this the premier shoe site on the internet today.

I've tried several different brands of bootie-style shearling slippers before settling on these, and these are by far the best I've encountered in terms of quality, comfort and fit. Extremely cozy on your foot, the shearling lining is nice and thick inside, but the footbed is true to size in length so they are extremely comfortable. I wear size 7 shoes and my 7 slipper is a perfect fit. Someone else said the leather smells like vanilla -- this is true! These are extremely well made, so while they cost more than some other shearling slippers, I feel like I'm getting my money's worth. It's a relief to find something worth spending the money on! These are divine. Easy to buy as a gift too because they run true to size.

The slippers are comfortable with a somewhat decent arch comfort. I have had others that have no arch comfort whatsoever. I do like the fleece inside and around the outer edge. Wish the the outer suede-leather was a bit thicker. They are as comfortable as a slipper can be comfortable.

These started perfect but after wearing for a few weeks the padding has gone down so now it's a little big. If I were to buy again I would go a size smaller.

These are great slippers, I have owned 3 pairs. However, they definitely wear out. I was disappointed when they replaced the leather sole with the synthetic. With this change, the slipper wears faster. The leather sole gave the moccasin feel which I prefer, and the synthetic sole pulls away from the leather. It would be nice to give the consumer the choice of leather or synthetic soles.

Most comfortable slippers ever, BUT the sheepskin is so thick that my feet literally slip from side to side. Almost dangerous as I have to be very careful not to twist my ankle or perhaps slip and fall. Wearing socks helps, but I don't like to wear socks when I first put slippers on in the morning.

I have worn this style Acorn slippers for many years and loved them. They fit well, are comfortable, keep me warm in the winter. They have always lasted many years before I needed to replace them. My last pair were an exception and they fell apart - literally, the sole detached from the rest of the slipper - after two seasons. I sent them back to acorn with the requested $5.00 after reading about their guaranty expecting to get a replacement. Instead I got my voided check returned with a letter telling me that the reason the slippers fell apart was because of the way I was walking in them. I promptly ordered a pair of UGG slippers instead of Acorn.
I believe the quality of Acorn products has declined and they need some coaching in how to provide better customer service. They could take customer service lessons from Zappos and Amazon.
Do not buy Acorn products unless you want to replace them frequently.

I usually wear a 7½ and I ordered this in a 7. That was too small. The 8 fits, but the quality of the slipper is lacking. The slippers have a rubber sole, but my feet keep sliding off of it and I end up walking on the side of the slipper causing my sock to twist around in the process. That was not comfortable. Of course, this happened within a week of wearing them and at that point, they were unreturnable. Before this problem had developed, I had ordered a second pair. I wore the second pair thinking that maybe the first pair was a defective pair. However, the second pair had the same problem as well! It might be a quality control issue. I am highly disappointed. Acorn slippers used to be the best.

I was very excited when I saw these because they are so adorably Nordic looking. However, the fit is terrible. Something about the sole causes one's foot to roll to the outside. Very uncomfortable and clearly won't last!

I wear these shoes every day all year long. I put them on after I shower and they stay on until bed. When I wake they are right there waiting for me until I have to change for work. I LOVE THESE SHOES!

These slippers are the best I have ever purchased for my wife. They are very well made and comfortable. If you are looking for top quality these are the ones to buy.
Zappos delivered as promised and I would use them again.

Nice and toasty for the winter months. Sometimes these shoes are actually too hot, but that is good because my feet get so cold in winter - nothing can keep them warm but shearling house slippers. Love them!

These are really awesome. Super warm and comfortable. I'm rating style down because, well, they're slippers; don't wear them outside the house and you'll be fine.

Oh my gosh! I have been in search of the perfect slipper and I have found it. I ordered and returned 3 or 4 pair and this one is by far the best. Easy to get into and out of...very cushy and warm yet not hot. The EVA and memory foam provide support and comfort. Love the rubberized bottom that allows me to go out to the porch and pick up my Zappos orders. As always - the super fast shipping and easy returns gave me the confidence to order and try on. Couldn't be happier with my new slippers and Zappos!

I love these comfortable, warm, slippers. I wear a 9.5 narrow and bought the size 9. After wearing it for a couple of weeks, it's a perfect fit without socks. I love that the rubber soled bottom allows me to run outside for a minute without getting my feet wet.

I just got these slippers yesterday and they are great! I have lots of foot problems and I have to wear custom made orthotics. These slippers are soft enough that if I don't wear my orthotics my feet wont hurt but roomy enough to fit them if I want to. I am a 7 1/2 and I ordered an 8. They are a bit loose but not enough to slip out and with socks they fit perfect.

I bought these for my Grandma who is extremely particular about her shoes/slippers. She has hammertoe and finds it very difficult to find a comfortable slipper. She absolutely loved these slippers and wears them all the time. She typically wears and 9 so that was what I got and they were perfect. Thanks they were a hit!

Hands down, these are the best winter slippers I have ever owned. I thought they were expensive when I ordered them and thought I might not keep them. Then they were delivered. Then I put them on...unfortunately, I have to leave the house every once in a while so I have to take them off and put on real shoes.

Dreamy comfort! I just bought these shoes a few days ago, and already got them! Great service, Zappos! I love these oh-so-comfy slippers. They are worth every penny. I would suggest if you're a 1/2 size, order the next size up. I'm a size 7, and these fit comfortably snug. Perfect!

Needing a slipper for warmth and not a slide, I chose these and they are perfect and less costly than the Uggs. I sometimes wear wides in shoes, depending on the cut, and these are fine.
