Amazing and Adorable - I love these Finn Comforts! These days I wear exclusively high-end comfort brands like Finn Comfort, Kumfs, and Dankso because my ankles and arches hurt after just a few minutes without great support. I need extraordinary arch support, and Finns always come through for me. For ultimate comfort, cork footbeds are the only way to go. Kumfs and Dansko have good arch support, but they don't feel as good as cork. Finns feel great from the outset, but after a week or two, the shoe will form to your foot completely and it will feel like heaven. After a day of wearing my Kumfs heels, I come home and put on my Finn Mumbai sandals and my feet know they are home. I can feel a huge difference in metatarsal support between Finns and other brands. No other brand comes close. Finns are especially amazing for people with wider feet. I for one love the modern, cuter look of Think! shoes as well as Naot shoes, which are both cork footbeds, but they are too narrow for my feet. Sadly, most Finns are kind of dowdy looking, but these silver Stanfords are actually really cute! They look even better in person. I think I can wear them with slacks, skirts, and jeans! To me it's a supportive, comfortable alternative to a ballerina flat. Finns are crazy expensive, but I have been so so pleased with my other pair that now I see them as a very important investment in my health. They are extremely well made so they will last you a long time. If you have problems with your knees, back, ankles, feet, etc, make the investment. It's far better to shell out the money and have a pair of quality shoes than to keep spending money on cheaper shoes that won't meet your needs or hold up over time. As for sizing, I usually wear between an 8 and 8.5 in dress shoes. For my Mumbai sandals I have size 39, but in these clogs the 39 was a bit small because my toes touched the end of the shoe when I walked and my heels came to the very edge of the clog. I recommend ordering a size up in the clogs and order your normal size in Finn sandals. The footbed is removable, so I suppose it could accommodate orthotics, but I wouldn't recommend buying a shoe this expensive only to remove the best part of the shoe (the amazing cork footbed). Because it molds to your feet, people who normally wear orthotics may not need them, depending on their specific foot condition. If you have plantar fasciitis, Finns would be an exceptional choice for you. This is a very long post, but I really cannot say enough about Finns and how worthwhile of an investment they are. If you're on the fence, go ahead and order them just to see. You have nothing to lose with Zappos! You can't beat their free shipping and free return. Just try them... and realize that the cork footbed will only feel better with time.

I bought these shoes because I bought they were cute. Whoever thought I would need them for a crippling foot problem! I developed a bone spur between my little toe and the toe next to it. The bone spur was not a problem, but the ulcer it caused was a real problem! It caused a massive hole in between my toes which was extremely uncomfortable! I was told by the doctor that I would have to wear sandals all winter long. That didn't seem that bad because I live in Texas and it stays pretty warm during the winter here, but we do have a few pretty nasty times, and I had absolutely nothing that I could wear that would not exacerbate the situation with my foot. I had purchased these Stanfords but put them to the back of the closet because I did not place the strap tight enough and they were falling off (my problem)! I decided to try them again, with no hope they would feel any differently. Oh, my goodness! They were heaven on earth to someone who had been living in total misery. The wide toe box left me plenty of room for my bone spur, and I am in total bliss! Thank you to Finn Comfort. I now have three pair with a fourth on order. If I could find more in my size 43, I could have even more! These shoes are so comfortable that I prefer them to no shoes at all. I find myself wanting to leave them on with my gown and robe at night - this has never happened to me in my entire life!

Stanford - They are gorgeous shoes and the insole feels like a glove. It fits the contours of my soles comfortably. I have plantar fasciitis and at the time of purchase my feet were extremely sensitive. I could wear them all day without any problem. I have difficulty finding shoes with a roomy enough toe box. These give great room in that area. At first, my feet slipped up and down in the shoe, but a thin layer of orthotic foam was added in the arch area and fits fine now. A little too much foam was added to my left shoe and it needs to be shaved a little to accommodate the thin socks or tights I wear to work. Great look with skirts, dresses, or pants.

These are very comfortable shoes. I bought the soft insert as the one they come with was a bit harder than I like. For the first week or so I could only wear the shoes a few hours a day, as they really do correct the way you walk, and my arch and ankles ached a bit while being retrained. Now I can wear them all day. (And my other shoes hurt!) They\'re quite attractive and go with just about every color. Even though they\'re meant to be orthopedic, they definitely don\'t look it.

These fit exactly as I expect Finns to fit. This is my fifth pair. They are very stiff at first, and over time they soften and fit your foot. Nice color! Zappos’ usual extraordinary service is nice, too!

I have another pair of the Stanfords in denim blue that I’ve really liked wearing for casual occasions. While my original pair is doing just fine I wanted a pair I could wear with black and grey outfits. This style of the Stanford is really cute. They’re not clunky and the floral design is very chic. I an wear them with brown dresses as well. The sizing is a bit off. I have very long narrow feet and I wear at least a size smaller in the sandals. I wish the clogs and the Stanfords were a tad longer and a bit narrower but they stretch and I can adjust the straps. I got them on sale and I’m very happy with the purchase.

I have reached the point where I’m collecting autoimmune disorders to go with arthritis and knee injuries. It’s a weird hobby. These shoes were the balm to my soles. They’re a bit stiff - I had to work up to walking in them for longer intervals, and I always wear socks for cushioning. The Stanford offers protection for my toes, freedom for my overly-sensitive heels, and a perfect fit with a velcro band. I love the toe box - it’s foot-shaped! I have gotten compliments on them. And they are cute for the type of shoe they are - a solid, comfortable, supportive shoe.

These shoes were perfect right out of the box! I am a 10 Wide, and the 41 fit just right. I am wearing them every day as my slippers, so if I need to get the mail, etc., it's no problem. They are comfortable, cute, and supportive. Great shoes!

Finn Comfort is the simply the best! These are right out of the box perfect, like they were made just for me. I actually bought them to be slippers, but because they are shoes, of course I can wear them anywhere. Pure joy to wear, and super cute.

I wanted to keep this shoe so much. Even with sock to take up room in toe area it just didn't work. The toe area is to much for my foot. Sorry I have to return.

My feet haven't been this happy in a long time! These shoes were comfortable from the first time I put them on. There is plenty of room in the toe box, and the support is great. The leather has softened up a lot, and I love the metallic sheen to the leather! I would not recommend this shoe for narrow feet, however. I really appreciate Zappos excellent return policy. I never worry when I order a pair of shoes from Zappos!

I bought these shoes to take on vacation to Europe. We did a lot of walking, and thank goodness for my Finns! (I took two other pairs of shoes and never put them on while we were gone.) These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned! I recommend Finns to anyone who wants a wonderfully comfortable as well as a good-looking yet light-weight shoe. I now own two other pairs of Finns!

They fit me perfectly...so very comfortable. I only returned them to get clogs. I didn't care for the Mary Jane look with the strap and rounded toe.

These will be good shoes for chores around the house and quickly taking them on and off. I have a few other pairs of Finn Comfort shoes (all Finnamics) that I can walk miles in without feeling any pain in my feet/knees/ankles or getting blisters, so I decided to try these. These are definitely shorter than my other size 42 Finn Comfort shoes. The base of the shoe is slightly sloped so the toes are closer to the ground then the heels. I might actually get blisters in this pair if I walk the dog around the yard for more than a few minutes as my foot slides towards the toe of the shoe. The arch support is exactly what my feet need to keep my knees aligned properly. The silver color is great and does not look as much like tinsel as a few of the shoe photos. Zappos definitely needs to change their interpretation of the conversion between the European sizes and US shoe sizes. My US shoe size is between a 10.5 and an 11. Finn Comfort converts that to be a size 42 (on the inside of all their shoe boxes) which is correct for my foot. The Zappos app recommended that I get a size 41 which would be way too small for my feet. I am much closer to needing a 43 in a few of the closed toe style Finn Comfort shoes than a 41.

VERY stylish--I am sorry it did not work for me. Toe box is not roomy enough (vertically) sole is very rigid, foot slides towards the toe box---very uncomfortable. Perhaps for somebody who does not have bad foot problems like me, it could work.

Big gap in the front on the shoe from the foot to the shoe top. Arch support is strange it feels off center and not at the arch. Also runs small.

I love Finn Comfort, but they don't have very many stylish shoes. The Stanford is one of the best. I lived in FC for a year about 20 years ago when I developed a severe case of plantar faciitis. Now 20 years later it happened again, even worse than before. Finn Comfort and Mephisto are the only shoes that will give me enough support (along with arch and heel braces for now) to enable me to resume an almost-normal lifestyle. Love them!
