This was the second pair of foam treads that we have purchased for my mother-in-law who is 94 years old. We originally purchased them for house slippers but she liked them so much she wears them when she is out walking in the yard. Yes I said that she is 94 but still gets around pretty good. The foam treads offer both comfort and support and the soles are durable and non-slip which is very important for a 94 year old. The velcro strap across the instep makes putting on and taking off very easy and the strap can be adjusted for comfort. All in all an excellent shoe for any age.

Buy one half size larger than you normally wear. These shoes run short so definitely buy 1/2 size larger. I didn't do that and had to return them and get the next size. I read the reviews, but didn't follow the advice. They are very comfortable and can easily be adjusted with the velcro strap. I have narrow feet so this is a big deal for me. The rubber sole goes outside as well as a pair of Keds. All in all, they do what I wanted them to do.

I bought these because we are turning our new house into a no-shoe house, but I need to be able to wear shoes while standing for a long time in the kitchen. I wanted something that looked nice for when guests come over. These slippers are very comfortable and so much like a real shoe that I tend to forget to take them off when leaving the house. My only complaint is that there are two poorly placed tags in the bottom of the shoe that are annoying when wearing them without socks. One can be cut off, but the other is fully attached.

I can't tell you how many slippers I've purchased in the last 5 years! It's embarrassing, really. So now that I've found the Foamtreads Jewel, all I have to do is hope they keep making them! The problem lies in the width. Companies will tell you it's extra wide, but if your foot can't squeeze into a slipper, it remains under your bed collecting really ugly dust bunnies.

The best slippers I have ever owned. They're so comfortable, you can even wear them outside to get the mail etc. I just love them.

I wanted some shoes to wear exclusively inside, so that soil and slush on the shoes and boots we wear outside wouldn't get tracked about the house. These black velour Foamtreads are just what I need. They have a crossover wrap fastened with velcro that is crucial for good fit: I have a medium width foot overall but a very narrow heel, and so without some sort of laces or strap, I just walk right out of a shoe. Also, the black velour makes this shoe dressier than moccasins, slippers, or tennis shoes; so that when we have guests over I can wear nice-looking shoes that are still very comfortable. They would be even more comfortable if the Foamtreads had arch supports, but I can easily add my own. The lining is warm but not too much, and works with or without socks. As always, the service from Zappos was outstanding.

Got these for my elderly step mom who is in a nursing home. As with others, I went up 1/2 size and from narrow to medium. She loves them. Except because of the nice tapered toe, there isn't quite enough room for her hammer toes. So...I'll be ordering the wide.

I bought these for my 89 year old grandmother who is in a wheelchair. Her floors are a little slick so she needed something that would help her grip the floor so she could scoot herself around. Also one of her feet is a bit swollen. I ordered the wide just to be sure she had plenty of room. They fit her like a dream, and the tread was perfect for her needs. That being said, as she has worn the shoes and they got a bit dirty just from day to day wear they began to slip a bit. She loves the way they look and feel and has worn them every day since we got them. It was a bit urgent that we get them and Zappos came through with their free overnight shipping.

Foamtreads Jewel - Comfy and good support. I just had reconstructive foot surgery 3 months ago and walking barefooted is not an option. You can adjust the fit to accommodate swelling.

Bought two pairs: for mother and mother-in-law. One has narrow feet, other wide. Both wear 8. Too small. I wear 7 and they were small on me. Little difference between regular and wide. Sole on thin side, not much support. Positive, they are elegant, secure on the feet, easy to slip on and off. Based on our experience, I would recommend 2 sizes larger.

Bought these for a nursing home resident. They are easy to put on and warm. Not flimsy.

I gave these as a gift. The recipient was very pleased with them. She told me they were very comfortable and they seemed to be very well made.

Bought these for my elderly aunt for Xmas. She has one foot that occasionally swells and since she lives in a nursing home, she rarely goes outside. She needed something adjustable, and with a non slip sole. These completely fit the bill. She typically wears a 7.5; I got her an 8 and they fit great. She thought they were perfect!

Super great slipper - First: delivered in 22 hrs from time of order - how do they do that??? Then: the comfort, support, style,, everything I hoped for. I am so glad to finally have a very comfortable slipper. Just enough heels, just enough arch, am very, very pleased. So glad I went shopping at Zappos!!

Good option for limited mobility - I bought these for my 90 something mother. Between arthritis and a bad hip, she has problems reaching her feet and has had a hard time finding slippers that are wide enough and easy to get on by herself. She had received this slipper, in a different color, for Christmas last year. These are the first slippers she has liked in years. They are perfect for daywear when indoors. They do stretch over time. Watch the soles for wear. When the treads wear down, they become slick.

Comfy slipper - I needed a slipper with a little more support than most offer. Jewel was the answer. It does run short, but the width is fully adjustable with the velcro closure. It makes a great house shoe that can be worn outside. I would get it again.

Finally! I ordered these for my 94 year old mother. She had a pair of terry slippers that she loved, but they have gotten pretty ragged. I tried some slippers from Footsmart, but they didn't fit right at all. She likes these! The adjustable feature works well as her feet swell sometimes and there is enough room in the toe for her to wear them comfortably. She usually kicked her slippers off when in the recliner, but she said these are so comfortable, she just leaves them on! I like the sturdy sole. My only gripe? They were not available in the color (for her size) she really wanted... I got these 1/2 size larger and one width wider than she usually wears based on the other reviews and they fit perfectly.

Purchased for my 100 year old mother, this is the second pair. They are comfortable for her; easy on and off; wash well, and most importantly, they provide safe "traction" for her.

Very comfortable slipper with great support. The indoor/outdoor sole is great for walking outdoors. I bought these slippers because I'm recovering from back surgery and needed something supportive and comfortable to help with my therapy, which requires a lot of walking! Thank You.
