These were really cute, simple mary janes. Unfortunately, even though they have the same footbed as the Vittoria and the New Queen II, the uppers didn't stretch much, and consistently rubbed my feet in an uncomfortable way. I wear a 39 in Arcopedicos generally, and I should have ordered a 40 in these.

These shoes are indeed good for people with bunions and narrow heels. The Velcro strap makes them easy to fit. They actually weren\'t as comfortable as I expected, and I will need gel insoles with them, but it\'s very hard for me to find shoes that fit so I am keeping them.

Comfortable/good looking waling shoes - These shoes are very comfortable and actually look nice too. I ordered the black suede ones and really like how those look. I wore the shoes for a week and one of the straps came unsown...for shoes this expensive this probably shouldn't have happened. Zappos replaced them and I checked to make sure the straps were securely sewn into the shoe. Hopefully these won't fall apart. I got the black leather this time, but I like the black suede much better

Cute red shoe - I have a teeny skinny foot that's hard to fit and I mostly wear lace-up shoes for good support. For years I've been wanting a cute red shoe that I can do a little walking in. There have been many returns in my efforts to balance cuteness and support. At last, Scala is here! Zappos had it in my two possible sizes (5. and 5.5), I had time to test them on carpeting, and now I have the shoes I've been wanting for years. I haven't had occasion yet to wear them outside, but I'm looking forward to that.

Instep Strap for Arcopedico - This shoe almost fits perfectly my needs. My only reservation is the velcro strap because it can catch on nylon pant socks. Velcro also tends to loose its hooking ability after a time and has to be replaced. I prefer a buckled strap. Otherwise the shoe is excellent.

Very comfortable shoe though it looks kind of unremarkable on the foot. The arch support seems a bit off (though I have very high arches and have experienced this with other shoes), but overall very comfy for work and play.

These were just this side of too short. And not too attractive. However, my feet pronated in them, so even if I had liked them, they had to go back. A similar, but very attractive Naot pair, were better all around.

I wear size 8.5 M. However, the European sizing for me is 39 which is 8 - 8.5 but that doesn't work for me because it tends to run small. The Arcopedico Scala in size 40 didn't work for me. They looked like clown shoes on my feet and they slipped on the heel of my left foot. I will return them and look for a different style by a different company. It was really nice leather. Zappos is the best company when it comes to buying shoes.

I ordered this shoe as well as the Arocopedico "rose". This shoe does not provide the arch support and comfort that the Rose style provides. My foot twisted as I walked in the shoe.

Unfortunately I have to return these. They will not accommodate my thick inserts. Otherwise they would have been perfect.

These are really pretty shoes. They appear to be well made and stylish. However, they are totally too small. I ordered a whole size up after reading some of the reviews and they were still too short in the toes. So, I am returning them. Too bad.

I bought these shoes specifically for comfort while walking in work clothing. After an hour of walking, I had shin splints and blisters forming. While the insole is comfortable enough while standing, it is hard with nothing to absorb shock. I don't generally require much arch support, but these did not provide any. These shoes aren't stylish enough to justify the lack of comfort, and aren't comfortable enough for how clunky they are.

Disappointing lack of comfort. The insole gives little support + is not removable (not enough depth to add own orthotic) fit very narrow. Too bad, since white flower pattern is pretty and slim hook loop closure convenient.

The black suede Scalas are cute, moderately dressy, and with their rounded toes, make my feet appear quite feminine and dainty. Although the shoes in my closet generally range from size 6.5 to 7, the size 37 is tighter than I expected, and has a bad habit of gripping my heel. (I have about a half dozen other size 37 shoe pairs that do not.) Because they're suede, however, they do get more "give" in them over time. I wear them for dress occasions only; I typically don't wear them when I need to walk more than a blocks or if I'll be standing for a long period, because they don't seem to have much cushy support in the bottom, and as I mentioned, the back of the heel is still too tight. For the price, I expected them to be a better fit.

I bought these shoes in desperation, despite their looks. As it turned out, their clunkiness and unattractiveness means that I hardly ever wear them. I think part of why they don't look good on me is that my feet are very flexible, thin, and flat, and they sort of look lost in this shoe. But the next size down was too short, a common problem for me. They are pretty comfortable, but the heel is too wide, and I have to pull the velcro strap so far that it reaches the ground, which looks crazy. To me, these shoes look like orthopedic old lady's shoes. All in all, I don't like them, but I think the problem is more my feet than these shoes.

At first, these shoes were fine. But over time I started to develop a bunion.... It was increasingly clear that all was not right. I went back to my old shoes and the toe is starting to straighten out. I am hoping it corrects itself. In the meantime, my nice shoes cannot be worn. Darn!

I owned a previous pair of these shoes for 7 years and wore them out. I loved them. I bought these as a replacement and I was very disappointed in the changes made to the design. The new design now rubs my left foot near my ankle bone causing pain because of the higher heel area and they no longer have a cushion along the heel. I had to return them.

I normally buy Earth shoes or Rockports, sometimes Walking Cradles, because I like flats that I can wear with dresses as well as pants. I needed some navy blue flats this time & couldn't find any in these brands so I tried Arcopedico for the first time. Since they cost more than I normally pay, I did not expect to be disappointed, but I was. The leather is thin, which makes the shoes comfortable, but already after a few wearings they are conforming to the shape of my feet instead of holding their own shape. The most unpleasant thing though, and the reason I certainly will not buy the Mary Jane style again, is that the Velcro strap does snag stockings. Another reviewer had warned of this & I thought I could be careful enough, but it is not just in putting them on & taking them off, even simply wearing the shoe causes the loops to snag the stocking.

Cute but not comfortable - These shoes are so adorable, but sadly they provide little if any arch (or any) support. They feel like you are walking barefoot, which may work for short uses but not for hours and hours of walking on pavement. Another problem: the velcro strap has only one position -- you can't really loosen it because then it doesn't lay flat -- the strap is designed so it only works when it's in the fully tightened position.
