Not trendy, but nice looking and comfortable - I have worn this shoe for years now, and since my daughter "borrowed" 2 pairs from me, I had to buy more of my own. I have owned these in black, red, and Bordeaux. They wear well and are extremely comfortable. I have walked all day in these while on vacation and never felt uncomfortable--never a blister. The look isn't trendy, but it's fashionable enough and spans the generations, from college-age to college-age's mom.

All day cute and comfy - This shoe is now my everyday all day go to work and after work shoe. I like how the toe area seems to make my foot look smaller and with a pair of pants this shoe looks classic, dressy enough but feels like a house slipper with support. I find it true to size.

I liked the way they looked but they felt like there was no arch support. Also—I have a bunion on my right foot and the material in these shoes is thin and very flexible, so they bulged over the bunion, resulting in a gap on the side of the shoe.

The shoe is a beautiful, plain, mostly very comfortable Mary Jane, which is just what I was looking to acquire and wear for work as a substitute teacher and as a choral singer who stands on the risers for 3 hours during rehearsals. I mostly love the shoe except for the rubbing on the exterior of my right ankle. Am going to try a heal insert to see if I can get my ankle raised up just enough to stop the rubbing of the right side of the right shoe rim against the ankle bone. I would still recommend the shoe as it is otherwise very comfortable.

I really loved these shoes. The leather is nice and the style is pretty. They have plenty of structure and great support. Unfortunately, as I wore them around on my rugs, they got tighter and became uncomfortable. I really wanted to keep these shoes but could not.

First purchased "39 (US Women's 8.5-9)" but it clearly was closer to size 8.0. For the price, I expected better quality materials & greater padding. The suede feels slightly synthetic (suede from what animal?). Really thought it would be cushier. That said, my feet are comfortable in them. I do a lot of walking to/from work, so I hope this is up to the task.

Arcopedico Scala - I really like the look of this shoe and it was very comfortable, but I did not stand or walk in it for a long time. I usually have a problem with shoes slipping on my heels; the instep strap helped with that. The only negative and it is personal taste: I prefer a buckle rather than velcro for fastenings. I am probably going to get this shoe in the black.

Cute, well made shoe but not as comfortable as they look (or I'd prefer). I won't be spending the whole day walking anywhere in these. Part of the issue is no arch support. The other is the European sizing. I'm usually a 36 (5.5 to but a 37 (6.5) would be too big. Also the velcro strap needs some wearing in. So far it keeps returning to where it was creased when it was new, which is too tight.

Comfortable for travel - I, with Zappos return policy, tried many different shoes trying to get the right shoe for a European trip. This is the shoe that I will be taking. I ordered two pair. They are near perfect but do seem a bit short in the toe area. I ordered my regular size. A half size larger would be too big.

I bought a pair of Ellery Arcopedicos at the same time, same size. These shoes were narrower and the leather was much stiffer and I ended up returning them. They were uncomfortable with my bunion. I loved the style but not the fit.

They suggested to buy a size larger so I did. They were huge so returned. Didn't like style well enough to buy in smaller size. Guess it's all relative to each individual foot.

I love Arcopedico shoes because I have wide feet with bunions. However, these shoes were narrower than my other Arcopedicos and the heel was tight and came up high enough to prevent any natural movement of the shoe with your foot. They're really nice looking and the adjustable band is great, but I had to return them.

These are nice looking shoes and I kept them, but they are not as comfortable as I would like. I have bunions and foot problems, so I am always looking for shoes that both hold their structure and are comfortable. I needed some black shoes badly, so I kept these but I would pass if you do have foot issues.

Needed a navy shoe with straps and found the choice limited. This shoe is acceptable but unremarkable and no match in office-worthy looks to well-loved Munro shoes it is replacing. Roomy enough for an orthotic, reasonable amount of cushioning in sole -- gives but not squishy. Seems cheaper looking than price suggests- perhaps because of finish on the long Velco strap which does, however, have the advantage of making the fit very adjustable. This shoe is very similar in style to SoftWalk Jupiter which I have in another color; I didn't buy navy of Jupiter because I have found its inner "moguls" irksome and the slightly upturned toe dorky. I believe Scala looks and feels somewhat better.

Reviews said it ran big, so order smaller, well I did. It was way too small. But I didn't like the color either, was way too orange for me.

Very comfy shoe. I normally wear European size 39 (womens 8/8.5) but had to size up to 40s in these.

I love Arcopedico shoes, but they are hard to find. They have a great fit and wonderful feel on the foot.

These are absolutely wonderful shoes that fit perfectly right out of the box. I tested a few other styles and sizes, thanks to Zappos easy and fast returns, and finally settled on these Mary Janes after reading the reviews (thank you, reviewers!). I normally wear a 6.5W or 7M, depending on the style, and it can be hard for me to find comfortable shoes. In European sizing, I often take a 37, but based on others' comments, decided to go with a 38, and they fit great. There is ample room in the toe box without slipping at the heel. The leather is soft and I wear them with thin footies. I work in a lab and am on my feet much of the day, so I needed a closed-toe shoe for the spring and summer that would support alot of walking. I highly recommend the Scala from Arcopedico!

Fits great! Well- made. Comfortable right away and worth the price. I have plantar fasciitis so cheaply made, poorly designed shoes hurt.

The show is snug over my arch. I wore them to work today anyway. They are already stretching out some. I love these shoes!

In doctors offices, the passport office, or the car repair shop, I constantly get compliments on these shoes. Oftentimes I have to take the shoe off so that someone can write down the brand name.

I found this brand years ago…and, here I am, with another pair. They fit well. Walk well. Can add socks. I add extra arch support, but that’s just for my cranky feet. Will look often for new styles.
