Follow-Up from my 1/31 review. Come on Cole Haan, this is completely and utterly incomprehensible. I did not heed other reviewers and just as they predicted I now have full depth cracks laterally under the balls of the feet on both shoes after 4 months of wear. This is much more of a testament when you consider I am seated for 95% of the day and I do not wear these walking to and from work. Only in the office and its carpeted! Unacceptable. Whomever developed this sole for this shoe did not do any testing whatsoever. Its a shame that the sole ruins what would otherwise be a comfortable, good looking shoe. Do not buy this shoe.

Great styling and comfort! Have loved these shoes since I got them out of the box. In response to all of the comments about the sole cracking, I called Cole Haan and the very courteous representative told me that it was an issue with a batch of shoes and should be resolved now but that if I have that issue then they would make it right. Hopefully that is no longer an issue. These shoes are exactly what I was looking for, casual yet slightly dressy, great for work or for jeans.

I have had the same pair of these shoes for over a decade. They go great with khakis or jeans. I have worn these shoes on industrial job sites and then wiped them down for church. For me they are my go to shoe - understated and quality.

These are very comfortable shoes. Once you get past the new shoe feeling they are perfect. They are relaxing to walk in. I am not required to stand at work and these feel great to walk and stand in for long periods of time.

These are comfortable and easy to get on. You have to stick pants down in the boot unless you have a wide pant leg. They run whole sizes and I found them to be roomy enough to buy the 7 even though my usual shoe size is 7 1/2, rather than sizing up to an 8.

I've had these shoes for over a year and I would rate it as okay. The sole on the right shoe cracked across the shoe after about 6 months wearing them.

This is my first pair of loafers since I was a little kid, but I was tired of shoelaces. My work requires me to be on my feet moving all day and these shoes have worked out perfectly. They are very comfortable when on my feet for a long period of time and for walking. They look great with dress pants or jeans. And I love being able to slide them on and off. I have worn them everyday for work since I got them three weeks ago.

I love the shoes and plan to get a black pair as well. They look good, and are very comfortable. They also feel well constructed so I am sure they will last a while. My first time buying shoes online and it was a success!

This is a comfortable, very well-made shoe. The leather is sturdy, and the shoe is leather-lined. The shoes were comfortable from the beginning, but they became even more comfortable after wearing them a few days. The sole and heel look very durable, and I expect to get long life from the shoe without a trip to the repair shop to have the heels replaced. Because the thick sole is conspicuous, I would classify this as a business casual shoe rather than a dress shoe, but the design of the shoe is casual anyway, and I do not intend this to be a criticism. I cannot feel any particular contribution of the Nike Air feature in the heel. Perhaps it is making a significant difference, but I cannot tell the difference because I don't have another shoe for comparison. To me, it just feels like a normal shoe heel with modest resilience. But it could be that the heel material, which seems quite durable, would be too stiff without this cushioning, and the cushion allows the heel to be made from a more durable material without feeling too harsh when you walk in the shoe. I'm glad I bought this shoe, and if they are still making it many years from now when these shoes wear out, I will certainly consider buying another pair.

Great shoe. Exactly what I was looking for - comfortable, casual shoe that can be worn with khakis or jeans. Very comfortable and very happy with these shoes. As always, Zappos exceeded my expectations!

I got this shoe for my husband and he loves it! It looks great and he says that it is very comfortable. It's a classic style that looks good dressed up with slacks or casual with jeans. He definitely recommends it!

These are excellent shoes, I purchased them for work. They are extremely comfortable seeing as I am on my feet 12 plus hours a day, on my way to picking up a second pair in black. I would recommend to purchase.

A good quality shoe that I have worn several pair of before. Good leather takes a while to break in, but once it does, you can't beat it.

Great shoe, I bought the Air Holden Venetian first and returned them after only trying one shoe on. The Santa Barbara fits awesome, comfortable wearing them all day standing on my feet in retail. I have a wide foot and the wide model fits and feels great!

A great shoe, very comfortable. Zappos service, as always was fast and easy. Like my other Cole Hann's, they are about 1/2 size smaller than other shoes I wear.

This is my second pair of this exact shoe, the cat urinated on my first pair after 5 long years of hard use. These shoes are worth every penny. I stand/walk around trade show floors all day with no foot pain. I have a narrow, low-volume foot with a fairly high arch and these fit but in a way smaller size than I usually buy. I buy size 10 Nike running shoes and buy these in size 8. I liked them so much I bought another pair in polished black. These shoes are tough, comfortable and good-looking, just beware of the size.
