These are super comfortable shoes. I wore the first pair, which were black, on a business trip that required a lot of walking. Upon my return I ordered a pair in brown. I highly recommend this style.

My job requires a significant amount of walking and I have real problem feet. I never thought I’d find a dress shoe that I could wear every day. I can’t believe the amount of money I’ve spent over the years trying to find comfort. My dress orthotics fit perfectly with the insole removed. I’ll most likely order another pair just to have as back up if and when these wear out. They are well worth the investment, especially if you are looking for a flat dress shoe that will accommodate orthotics.

This is a beautiful shoe. The leather is so soft and supple and think that causes more scuffing than usual. It is almost like going barefoot.

I am an extremely large attorney (no matter how chubby you are, I am likely bigger than you, so adjust this for your own circumstances). Since I own my own law firm, I can often get away with dressing down when I don't have meetings, but I need dress shoes for court, meetings with clients, etc. I bought these shoes for a trip to London for a client's opening at a museum, and for meetings/schmoozing there with other attorneys. I knew I would be doing a lot of walking (as Europeans do) and I am frankly not built for that. These shoes were quite comfortable, and I was able to walk to and from meetings in them (even on cobblestone sidewalks), and take public transportation without a problem. I wore them without pantyhose -- and the major problem in that situation is that they squeaked/squished when I walked. But, on the upside, no blisters, and no cramps, and overall a good shoe. By the end of the day, the top of the shoe looked a bit unattractive because my chubby foot (considering how much I weigh, not an overly fat foot) was being squeezed through the mary-jane-style tops -- it was not painful, because the elastic meant the straps were able to give, but not the most attractive look (a bit sausage-like, although not too horrible, and it may just be because my feet swelled at the end of the day). Definitely a comfortable shoe -- better than most I have tried, but it isn't like I wake up every morning dying to put these shoes on -- I will stick with gym shoes/flip flops/slippers on more casual days that I don't need a dress shoe.
