The rubber connecting pieces are way too delicate to hold up. Mine are broken in several places. A total redesign is needed. Great idea, poorly executed design.

I've had Yaktraks for years and understand that they will need to be replaced occasionally, but the pair I got last year (very little use until this year) are broken already after maybe 10 uses. I still have one of a pair that I got more than 10 years ago and the rubber/plastic used on the older one is much stronger and thicker. I'm really disappointed and will be looking for a different brand.

I bought these several years ago, when I moved to New England from Southern California. I used them sparingly until this year, never achieving a satisfactory result, but unsure whether it was me or the product. I know some who love theirs. My problem is that after getting them on and adjusting them (easy enough) after fewer than a dozen steps (very few if going up hill), my toe was always poking through the forward diamond. I've looked at enough video and instructions to be sure I'm using them correctly, and they just won't stay put. I wear a size 12 boot and have verified that I have the correct size. I'm also 6'3" and over 240 lbs dressed for the cold. These facts may provide an explanation. I'm at the lower end of the size range and put a lot of force on them. The bottom line is that they are completely worthless for my use.

Looked great out of the box. However BOTH tracks broke within 2 weeks of putting them on. My wife and I do 4-6 miles daily but that's ridiculous. Cannot recommend

I wear the diamond ones but my partner thought that was too intense so I got this model. They wore the, on one hike and the wires and plastic split and broke. I made sure to size up after reading reviews thinking that was the issue for folks. It appears to be just bad quality merchandise. What a waste of money. Do not buy these. But the diamond ones and they will at least a few seasons.

I talked my husband into trying these and one of the black rubber straps broke the first time he wore them. Very disappointing because I've used them for many a snowy mile.

I bought a pair last season and only used them once or twice. I just took them out for the first time this season and after one use, I found that the metal had broken in multiple places. The 90-day warranty is not an impressive guarantee.

I had used the walk for years and thought this year i would get the pro's. I bout them last week from the local army surplus just ahead of a 11 to 12 inch snow storm. I put them on and they didn't last very long. Rubber broke and i was very disappointed.

Had these for maybe 3 months or so but was able to take them on two hikes before they broke and became completely useless.

I bought these a couple of months ago for walking and hiking in the woods with my dog and already the rubber has snapped in 2 places. I am extremely disappointed as many of my dog walking friends recommended these to me. They worked great the times I was able to wear them, but now they are useless. I am 69 years old so I don't think I was too hard on them. Only wore them on packed snow and ice. Looks like I may have to look for something else.

These are the worst cleats possible... The metal keeps unwinding and gets caught on everything... Have almost been cut several times

I bought a set of these about 6 weeks ago. I had a pair of the original Yak Traks that were given to me 10 years ago. The lasted for 9 years with no issues until finally the rubber broke on a couple of the bands. I was very happy with those. the sttel coils never broke and they worked reall well. So I bought the pro series this year and they are total garbage. If you wanted to use them once or twice to walk 5o to 75 yards they'll probably hold up. But if you intend to use them several times throughout a winter and for more than one season you better buy something else.. These things are total garbage compared to the originals. The steel coils kept breaking, the ends would start coming unwound, they don't stay on your boots well. Just total junk!! I'll look somewhere else and find a quality product. Don't know what you guys did to these things to ruin what you once had for quality but anyone who once to use them on a regular basis will be sorely disappointed in the quality of these things!!

Rubber tubing frame inside the coiling snapped after one use. Very poor quality in my opinion, however it did the job for my walk.

I have used them on a total of four hikes, always walking in the snow, total of maybe 10 hours on my boots. The rubber already snapped on the heel connection. I loved them until that happened. definitely made it easy not to slip on packed and powdery trails.

Received as a gift last Christmas. Not used until this year. Broke on second use. One of the rubber bands around which the steel coils are wrapped broke.

Bought a pair for my husband. He walks for a living. They broke on the second day. I called and customer service was awesome. I was given another pair and the charge can off my credit card. Sorry to say the second pair broke in 1 day.

I walk dogs five days a week and needed something for winter traction. The Pro version is supposed to work on snow and ice, but I wouldn't trust them on ice-only surfaces. I did get a sense of safety when using them. Unfortunately the rubber and Velcro straps started breaking almost right away, and they lasted me all of seven weeks before they broke so much I couldn't use them any longer.

These may be fine for use on streets and sidewalks, but they are worthless on hiking boots in mountainous terrain. They keep sliding up the toe and don't stay snug on boots. I threw them away after two tries.
