Wow! These look great and feel amazing - probably the lightest and most comfortable running shoes I've ever owned, straight out of the box. I fluctuate between two sizes depending on the shoe and am glad I went with the bigger size for this one, because they do seem to run a bit snug. Removable insole is a big plus. And as always, Zappos customer service is awesome!

Ordered Second Pair - NB MR790's are so good, I just ordered another pair. They are comfortable, stylish and good for short runs/walks. I hope NB keeps making them. I like the low profile of the sneaker. Also good is the low arch, especially since I have flat feet...the reason I cannot by NIKE and ADIDAS sneakers.

Going strong - I've had a pair close to 1 1/2 years now with 600 miles running on trail and pavement. The shoe still works great with no loss of comfort or cushioning. The only real sign of wear is a minor tear in the fabric. Tread still looks great. I purchased a second pair about 6 months ago because I was worried that NB had discontinued it. BTW, these shoes have totally changed my running form! You can't be a heavy heel striker in them because of the minimal cushioning. They taught me to land softly on my fore/mid foot and that in turn has kept my Achilles tendon very happy (no more problems like I had with previous shoes - knock on wood). I still have not had a run longer than 10 miles in them, but I'm looking forward to see how they will hold up to longer miles...

Perfect!!! Well let me start by saying these sneakers feel super good on my feet, I own mutible pairs of Nikes and Adidas and none of them feel as good as these babies and for the price and looks; forget about it you can't beat them. Thank you Zappos.

NB 790 awesome shoe - I have this shoe in a different color and they are great! Fit great, not a bulky high/thick shoe. They are a low profile version of a running shoe with a thin tongue. I hate a shoe with a padded or thick tongue and this is perfect. I am a running/trail shoe freak and this style is my favorite, you wont be disappointed, I promise! If you like, I would recommend buying 2 of the same pair, they last about 1-2 years wearing about 2 times a week. I recommend rotating your shoes, which would make you wear this one about 1-2 times a week. Keeps the shoe smelling and looking good for much longer. ENJOY your SHOE!!!! I DO!!!!

You Gotta Love'em - I love the way they look, and also the way they feel on the trail. Unfortunately, I've tore them up on some muddy paths so I don't wear them for much more than running now. I'm debating buying a second pair just for casual wear. I listened to the other reviews when I ordered and I'm glad I did. I wear 10 1/2 with most other brands and the 11's fit perfect in these! As for the arch support, I never realized how bad the arch support was in my other shoes because they definitely stand out in these. I definitely think they are worth their price.

Best shoe I've ever owned - These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I keep taking them on adventures that I think are sure to finish them off (25 mile hike in Zion with a 45 pound pack, 20+ miles in Havasupai with a 40 pound pack--they make an excellent aqua hiking shoe, btw). I'm starting to train for a marathon in them now and running 3+ miles 3 times a week with them with no discomfort. The tread is practically gone (had them over a year) and I know they're not appropriate for road running, but I just can't bring myself to move on to a proper running shoe. Maybe I should just get a fresh pair in another awesome color combination and run the marathon in them anyway!

Athletic Slippers - The first time I wore them I knew I was hooked, these made me feel I've worn the wrong shoes my whole life. I should have run back to get another pair, and alas, I've missed out on the black/orange now, but thanks to Zappos there's still some other colors left. Colors aside, the shoe becomes like a slipper on your foot, and you can use it for everything. Excellent for uphill/downhill trails and streets due to their extremely light weight. When running it almost feels as if you are floating. Tread wear for my 165lb frame is minimal, many, many miles a day in them. In summary, these shoes are just easy to wear everyday and everywhere and classy enough to wear to dinner too.

Comfy shoe - I've worn these shoes every day since I received them. The comments about ordering a half-size up are correct. My normal 11 is better as a New Balance 11.5. My only problem with the shoes is that after a longish day in them, they do begin to feel a little thin on the soles. I would recommend extra insole cushion of some sort. I work in a bookstore and these are great casual shoes for work.

Great Shoes, Great Shopping Experience. I almost ordered without reading these reviews, however paused, rethought, and did. I ordered a 1/2 size larger as instructed, spot-on and I would suggest you do the same. My free standard shipping was upgraded, for free, to overnight shipping and I was training the next day in new kicks. They are comfortable and run extremely well on a treadmill and walk bouncily around the gym, however given the NE weather I've yet to hit the trails. The coffee/yellow are pimp and look good with jeans and are honestly the only brown running shoes I've seen that don't look terrible. Zappos is key, with the shipping upgrade and useful product reviews making my first online shoe-buying experience, which I was a bit apprehensive about given the lack of tangibility, quite enjoyable.

Next best thing to bare feet - My local shoe stores all ran out of this terrific little shoe a year or so ago. Zappos came through. They are a great, light, flexible, thin-soled shoe, perfect for protection while still letting the surface feel come through. I love them!

My daily work shoe... This is my second pair of this style shoe. I wear the shoes for work all the time, light and very comfortable. NOTE: they’re very comfortable only if you buy the NB insoles – night and day difference, this would make it a 5 star. This shoe I will buy every time to replace the old worn out pair. FYI: Zappos was easy and quick; why drive around wasting gas when you already know what you want, so just buy from Zappos.

Great lightweight shoe - This shoe is very comfortable and lightweight. Very slippery on wet surfaces. I love them and worth the money. Ready to buy second pair. I wear for everyday use.

Not for running - Bought these shoes just to dink around in. Made the mistake to go for a run in them. They are definitely made to wear as errand shoes or hang out in. They serve their purpose, and I like the orange and gray. I would recommend if you do not plan on physical activity off the grass.

Very good, light - Very comfortable, very light. This was the first pair of shoes where I paid attention to weight when I was ordering it. The laces aren't straight so they tend to grip better and stay tied longer. The left shoe feels like there's extra rubber on the arch so if you are really paying attention and gently rest your foot on the floor, you can feel a little lump. That being said, you can't notice it any other time. Most likely just a defect, but no major problem at all.

Great lightweight handsome sneaker - I am a shoe weenie: nothing seems to work well. Except this unassuming low-rider from New Balance. Ahh. Finally a sneaker I can wear without any fatigue. And a super great added bonus: unlike every sneaker I've ever owned, this one will not get stinky. I now own two pairs.

...I grinned broadly when I slipped my feet into these!! I bought these very light shoes specifically for a hill climb (run up, ride chairlift down), thinking, who needs cushioning for what I'm going to do: power-walking uphill for a half hour. They are a little like canvas bags with a sole on the bottom. Yet, they have an amazing amount of cushioning for being so low to the ground. In fact, my feet felt great during the half mile or so I ran on pavement/sidewalk warming up for the hill climb. Skipping the lift and running back down the mountain, post-race, the shoes felt as good as anything I've ever worn weighing twice as much. They're the nearest thing to being barefoot that I know of. I hope they never stop making this one or something similar.
