I'm writing this review for my husband, who's too busy to sit down and write a review. After I bought 2 pair of Mephisto sandals this summer from Zappos for myself and continued to rave about them, I convinced hubby to try them over Birkenstocks. Well, after wearing them all over Denver, walking the dog, up in the mountains, and while in Trinidad for business (off hours), all he can do is thank me for introducing him to Mephistos. He usually has back and foot pain. Not with these. They look better than Birkenstocks, not as sloppy. He loves the way they hold his foot in place. He says they are so very comfortable with the nice cushy padding over the cork. We sprayed the sandals with Scotch Guard just in case they get wet, we always do that with our sandals. The brown color is very neutral and goes with everything. The size was true for him and the arch support is most sufficient considering that my husband usually wears specially designed orthotics. We are going to recommend them to our 25 year old son who has scoliosis and has trouble finding comfortable shoes. Thank you Zappos for offering these great sandals.

Mephisto Zonder are the most comfortable sandal I have ever worn. I usually wear another top name brand and enjoyed them but these are even better. I almost wore these sandals exclusively for 12 days while in Jamaica. I give these shoes the maximum number of stars.
