I like them! While they are not soft enough to be my perfect sock, they are well constructed, comfortable and really get the job done!

Awesome socks! I have some Thorlos I bought in 2001 which still show no signs of wear, and I wear them all the time. I just received these Coolmax Light Hikers yesterday for me & my kids (ordered the 6-pack since all 4 of us wear the same size). You should have heard the “oooh’s” and “aaaah’s” when they tried them on!! I then ordered a size larger for my husband, and I see on the tracking that I will receive these today with no additional shipping costs! Zappos is awesome!!

I purchased these socks in preparation for a trip to Hells Canyon. I don't do a lot of hiking, just on vacations, and am always limited by my feet. These socks were SO comfortable; cushioned my feet in all the right places. I have thick calves and am always afraid that the sock cuff will dig in, but I didn't have that problem with these socks. I feel very happy to have successfully found an answer to one of my chronic problems--how to make my feet as happy as the rest of me while on vacation!

Great sock. Recommended by the Zappos outdoor specialist as a good hiker sock. They're great! Super comfy, and not nearly as hot as my all wool hikers. Have worn them all day with no problems in 40-80 degree weather (spring in the desert southwest). Probably will be too hot for our summers, so a 3 season sock around here. No blisters, no binding. Very soft. Love these. Worth the price.

Comfy yet light - perfect for fair weather hiking - I hiked more than 30 miles over rough terrain in the Grand Canyon and Zion with these socks and they protected my feet every step of the way. Great comfort without too much bulk.

Thorlos Hiking Socks - Just got back from 2 weeks hiking in the Costa Rica rain forests...Alternating 3 pairs of Thorlos worked great...kept my feet dry the entire time.

Awesome - My husband will not wear any other sock. My daughter first got them, then she got here husband some. So she got him his first pair and after that he was hooked. Thank you for such a good product. He says they are the most comfortable socks ever.

I just bought these socks and wore them while on holiday in Europe, mostly just walking around cities. They are super comfortable, warm and soft. I experienced no chafing or blisters. I highly recommend these for walking or hiking.

Interesting socks. Good for walking or short day hiking in mid or full height boots. Good padding in pretty much the right places, a little bulkier than I expected for a "light hiker" but not enough to interfere with boot fit/comfort. I prefer completely loose upper portion of socks. The upper elasticity is a little too tight for my tastes but looser than most. The upside of that is that they don't droop or move around once positioned on legs. The interesting part is the Coolmax. In moderate temperatures my feet are rather warm in these socks, although any perspiration seems to be completely whisked away. I was concerned that this would translate to burning hot feet on warmer days, but oddly it doesn't seem to. On warmer days my feet still feel warm but not burning hot. And still no/little sweat accumulation or dampening of the socks. Haven't worn them in cold conditions but I'm guessing they'd feel pretty comfortable down to a pretty cool outside temp before you'd need hardcore winter socks. Summary: Good looking, comfortable hiker. Would prefer looser top but remainder of fit/comfort are great.

These are great socks for warmer weather hiking. They are not too heavy, but provide a nice comfort zone for your feet. They wick away moisture, so your feet stay dry and feel much cooler especially if using with a Gore-Tex lined boot. Highly recommended for all but winter hiking!

We do quite a bit of walking when we go to Europe. Last time I went I used cheap socks and paid for it with blisters on both feet. Then a friend told me about Thorlos light walking and light hiking socks. They make all the difference. No more blisters! They are by far the most comfortable and toughest wearing socks I have ever found. I would not switch if you paid me!

I have always used Thorlos socks for when playing tennis and would never consider using anything else. I purchased these for everyday wear because of the good experience they have brought. Plus they last for a long, long time. They are more expensive then a lot of other kinds but I can always count on these to stay on my calves without cutting off the blood flow going back to my brain. I love em!

What can I say? I bought these as a Christmas present for my oldest son who likes to take long hikes. When he thanked me, he said "They're perfect, Dad, Thanks a lot."

No problems or issues with getting the 3-pair pack from Zappos. As a long-time user of Thorlos Light Hikers I had a clear idea what to expect. The socks are fine, no material defects or issues. I wear them every day (casual office), they are extremely comfortable, and most pairs last 5-6 years or more. Some years ago I had several new pairs that had a problem with the elastic stretching prematurely (maybe 6-12 months) so I have been closely watching new pairs and the issue has not repeated- so if there was an issue in manufacturing in the past they fixed it. I have tried a few other brand-similar socks, and they are not bad, but they just don't equal the quality, comfort, utility, and long-term value that these Thorlos do. The 3 pack is a good way to get a slightly better price on them, as they do not go on sale often.

Good socks to wear with clogs or athletic shoes. They're soft and well cushioned. The toe area does run a bit wide though. But overall these socks keep my feet quite comfortable.

I ordered these socks to wear to a trip to Yellowstone National Park - these socks are very comfortable! Even though my trip there was in June, the weather was quite chilly and these socks kept my feet warm, dry and comfortable each day. Love them -- well worth the price!

Worked great for me on a week-long hiking trip. A little bulky (long?), but once my feet were in the shoes I had no problems. Kept them dry, good padding.

I bought these on Zappos for my vacation to AZ and the Grand Canyon. One morning I convinced my brother to wear a pair after hearing him complain about how sore his feet get after long hikes. His words, after day at the Canyon, "I'm going to have to order some of these." Take care of your feet. Buy Thorlos.

Very comfortable. Provide support. Thick and wash well. Don't roll down. Only complaint is the white heel portion shows above regular shoes if you're not wearing a high top hiking boot.

I can't brag enough about this brand of socks. I wear them for running, so I bought these for hiking. They feel like heaven. I have not received any blisters wearing these while hiking, and I like that they're synthetic.

CoolMax are the best at preventing blistering, even when my feet are wet. Many socks are designed to wick away moisture, and these certainly do that. What seems different with the CoolMax is the fiber that prevents friction, and therefore heat that leads to blistering. I\\\'m conditioning for the Appalachian Trail with CoolMax, and plan to use them for many miles.

The perfect sock for cool spring, chilly fall, and freezing winter. This is the perfect sock; it is super soft and has wonderful cushioning without being too thick. My husband and I both wear them for every day and for any outdoor activity. Also, on cool nights I will wear them with slippers for extra warmth and comfort. You cannot go wrong with these socks. Thanks Zappos!
