Bought these boots for my Elk hunt in Nevada. Wore them in single digit temps, 4-6 inches of snow. No complaints! My feet were warm and had great support while hiking. My son also bought a pair and has the same comments....FYI gave away my Sorels for these boots....good trade!

I work and play in boots... and these are the best pair of boots I have had in 20 years! I like them so much that I bought the insulated version a week later.

First, the most important thing: this boot is very heavily insulated, which makes it much smaller on the inside than it appears on the outside. I had to re-order mine in EE-width, which I don't usually wear, for proper fit. That said, now that I have the right size, I absolutely love these boots! I'm not tracking elk, but I walk at least a mile through the city every day on my way to work. We have snow, slush, ice, puddles, and single-digit temps here, too! Most days, I just wear "regular" Doc Martens, which are awesome most of the year, but when winter gets serious, they just don't have enough resistance to the elements or grip. These Elk Trackers are like army tanks for your feet! In places where my other boots slipped and skidded, these just dug in like I was walking across my living room. Also, even wearing a hat, scarf, long wool coat, and gloves, my feet were the warmest part of my body.

Zappos is great. We placed our order for these boots really close to Christmas so we were pleasantly surprised when they not only arrived on time, but with plenty of time to spare! The boots are just what we expected since our son has a pair just like them. Durable boots that keep your feet warm while snowmobiling or hunting.

Just bought these on a "whim"... I am moving to Montana soon. Just stopped into a local sporting goods store and wandered over to the shoe department. I looked at all the boots on the rack, and these just jumped out at me. The most expensive pair there, and I was actually looking for less expensive pair, but I know it's true we get what we pay for. After trying them on I was convinced that these will be my new hunting boots for many years to come! The leather is very soft right out of the box, making the boots very comfortable right from the get go. Overall construction looks great too, as the soles are sewn on, not cemented, and can be replaced if ever the need arises.

Great, but question durability - I have owned two pairs now, love the feel and warmth, but the durability has been questionable. I am a construction foreman and the work is hard on these boots, the insulation inside let go meaning it tore, but is the most comfortable boot I have ever worn.

Worth every penny! Even though I wear a 13 EE, right out of the box, these boots were super comfortable. (I put in my own insoles for personal preference.) They are beautifully made and absolutely waterproof, as advertised! I use these at work on a dairy and am on concrete all day: these boots keep my feet dry and comfortable. I would definitely recommend!

I want to be buried in these boots - These boots are the best I have ever put on my feet in mud or crossing creeks period. They stay toasty warm all day in sub zero weather. I have owned a lot of hunting boots but these are the best. I recommend them to all hunters. If I had a choice between Rocky’s or my Irish Setters Elk Trackers then I would pick the Elk Trackers hands down. I bought them in 2003 and they are still my best boot for all day hunting.

Comfortable - My husband really likes these boots for comfort, he is on his feet all day in the elements of the weather and feels these boots keep his feet dry and warm in the winter months here in Minnesota.

These have been my winter hunting boots for 5 years. They have great traction and are comfortable, warm, and dry. After 5 years of seasonal use in the woods, they show minimal wear on the sole and leather, and none on the stitching. These have been one of my best purchases in terms of winter gear.

It fits perfectly in length. It’s tight with thick socks I planned to use but with the insulation I may not need a heavy sock. I haven’t yet worn them in the woods and mountains.

I have owned and hunted out of this boot for the past 15 years - from taking on the rocky mountains in the Montana Wilderness to busting through the cactus of the south Texas brush country, there are simply no better boots available - and I am hard on boots. They have to fit. They have to perform. And, most importantly, they have to last. Fifteen years of use have made the money I spent on these seem like a helluva good investment. That is why I am visiting Zappos today; I am ordering another pair.

These are the best boots I have ever owned. I have tried to buy cheaper boots in the past and tried to 'get by'. But there is a big difference and I always regret it. I come back to these time after time. They are excellent boots. They are well worth the investment.

I was reluctant to spend this kind of money on a pair of boots, but I am glad I did. This is by far the most comfortable, warm, and dry pair of boots I have ever owned. After wearing these boots at work for a month, I have put then to the test. I waded around in ankle deep water and my feet stayed completely dry! I bought these mainly because I was having problems with a sore right foot. Since I started wearing these boots instead of the cheaper ones my foot pain has decreased significantly. I would not hesitate to buy these again. As a matter of fact I am going to look at their line of summer work boots and order a pair of those. They have won a customer for life for making the best quality and comfortable boots I have ever worn.

These boots are amazing. They keep your feet and ankles warm in (at least) single digit weather while still breathing nicely. I have had mine for over a month so far and have submerged them in rivers and hiked through three feet of snow with bone dry toes. They are definitely the most comfortable boots that I have ever worn as well. At first they were a little snug in width, because of the amazing insulation, but they broke in very quickly. I would recommend these to anyone for work or play in cold and/or wet conditions.

We had a record breaking series of deals at our company, and as a reward, my boss decided to let everyone get new shoes from Zappos. I needed another pair of hunting boots and decided on these 1000g Irish Setters. All I can say is, best decision I've ever made. These boots took about three nights padding around the house for 30-40min to get to the point I felt like I'd been born wearing them. They are only getting better now, nearly two years later. As my old pair of boots (non-Irish Setters) are wearing out, I have no doubt what will replace them. It's time to get the 600g pair for those slightly warmer days. If I had the money, I'd get the 200g pair for warmer days, to round out the set. I've put mine through some serious hunting tests so far. I hunt on a mountain lease north Alabama. Mostly creek drainages between old terraced fields on the top, but dropping down off the mountain another 800' with several benches and slopes we frequent. Plenty of rocks amidst the leaf clutter, and these boots protect my feet very nicely. I've gone up and down the mountain numerous times, and walked all over the top in these, and they're easily the most comfortable boots I've ever owned. I bought the 12D size, which I buy in most hunting boots, because it leaves room for heavy (thick) wool socks and liner socks. I think if you're not a thick sock kind of hunter, buy your regular size. If you need good boots which are comfortable and durable, get these!

I love these boots, I have had four pairs of these. I use them every day for work. I have been in some rugged conditions of -20 degree weather pulling pump with water spraying us. These boost stay warm, comfy, dry, and keep the traction through all environments. I typically can wear a pair for about 1.5 years everyday before the sole wears out. The leather uppers of these are awesome. I don't do anything to them and they wear like iron. These boots leather has never cracked, split, or worn through. High quality boot that has extreme comfort. When buying I buy a 11.5 size they feel a little tight when I first get them but within 4 days I have plenty of room for my foot as the insulation forms to my foot.

These are supposed to be EE. He can’t even get them on! Even ordered half size larger.
