I bought the black leather with brown laces and ended up receiving the black leather with blue laces(which isn't even offered at the moment). I'm not sure if I'm going to return them or not, they still look and feel great.

Good shoes - Lightweight and comfortable. Not much structure or support, but great for lounging around. I walked two miles in these the day I got them and they were fine, but my feet do not require a lot of support. Comfort-wise, it's like a Chuck Taylor but with the shape of a Birkenstock.

Worth the price - They are sharp and one feels like walking on the hands of a masseuse, what more can there be? I’m a size 11-12, and the 11 fits perfect, as there is no excessive padding and fluff inside the shoe. The shoes are so well designed you don't need it. They will probably last forever.

Super great shoes that I've been wearing as my main shoes every day since getting them about a year and a half ago. Nice leather and nicely finished shoes that I had high hopes for having for a long time. But the left shoe blew out. On the outside...along-side my pinky toe essentially. The footbed/sole is so low that the leather on the side was basically cut by the sole. I've been wearing them ripped for a couple months now as I've searched for a suitable replacement. As I sat down here to look for new shoes, I noticed that the right shoe has now done the same thing. I've had other shoes...Clarks, Sioux, others...that I've worn with equal regularity and appeared to be of equal initial quality and I am disappointed that these shoes have failed so quickly considering the price...and the (red) leather still is in great shape...bummer.

This is my third pair of peu’s, and they’ve been my favorite shoe since the first pair. Great all around shoes for travel and stand up to heavy use and abuse.

Excellent...everything I expected for comfort and style. Convenient not to have to lace and unlace. Best shoe of this type since Patagonia.

I love these shoes.. comfortable, long wearing, and I love the look. I’ve had several pairs that I wear until the rubber sole starts to go... which takes years of heavy use. Well worth the price!

Terrific shoes! Great looking, comfortable for walking from the start. Would buy again without hesitation. Past experience with another style of Camper Peu shoes has been getting them soaked walking in the rain and they dried out like new- hope these will be the same.

Stylish and durable! I am a teacher and wanted a shoe that could work with a shirt, tie, and slacks and also with a pair of jeans on the weekend. Being on my feet all day for work, these shoes have been great. They feel pretty lightweight and take the abuse of a typical teaching day in stride.

This shoe is a slip-on. The laces are an aesthetic design feature. The show is roomy in the toe. The leather is quite shiny and has a “pleather” look.

I like the style. Fit is great. Good for walking about town. Not for hiking.

Seems a little thin, flimsy, lacking the construction quality I've experienced with other fine shoes at this price.

the dark blue ones say 'distressed leather' but they are kind of a very mild suede. since they run small, they are pretty hot in the warm weather. good shoe for cooler weather unless you can get one a little bit larger than your normal size. many of the camper styles only go up to size 13, but this is one that goes up to size 14 and that is a bit of a small 14, it may be translated from euro sizes. i had to get an "emergency" pair of the black from a store because the shoes i had on (not camper) were totally painful, and they saved the evening not to mention future days. i was liking the black so much that i got a dark blue from Zap, but it isnt the shiny leather of the black nor a matte leather but rather a lite suede as noted above. the elastic laces are a really nice feature actually. they dont seem easy to switch out tho to the alternate color they give, since they are tied in a tiny knot at the end. you can probably untie the knot, but how to tie such a knot at the end of a string? a real trick, for sure.

Bought a pair of these a few years ago but did not wear them on a regular basis at all. Soles recently just tore up on one of them just with normal wear.

The old style of these shoes—that had 3 rows of show lace, instead of 5—was the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. This updated style is awful. The way they are sewn and where the shoe laces now go down to causes the leather to bend in such a way that it digs into the top of your foot very sharply. It is not just uncomfortable, it is painful. A perfect shoe was ruined for me with the re-design.

These are men's shoes. I'm a woman. Thought I could get away with them because I like wide toe boxes and this has a thin sole, nice for hiking. (Getting 2 sizes down usually works). My slender female foot could not get these shoes on! You can't unlace them because of the shoe's auto stretchy pre-knotted lacing system. Maybe they're nice once you get them on, but I'll never know. Hate the nuisance of sending them back. For the review to count, I had to fill out other questions even though I don't know answer since couldn't get shoe on foot.

The shoe is comfortable and true to size. The shoe is a minimalist shoe. There is no arch support, but that didn't bother me. The colors displayed on the website are a little deceiving; the brown upper is darker than actual and the orange is more muted than actual. I returned this particular shoe only because I kept the same shoe in a different color (Brown Nubuck).

This is my second pair of Camper Peu. They are so comfortable and durable. My last pair was worn weekly for 4 years before they started looking a bit rough. Love these!

I have bizarro duck feet that look normal at first glance, nut most shoes are uncomfortable for me. I need a wide toebox. These shoes have that which is great. The leather is soft so they fit flexibly. The insoles are not so good but I took them out and replaced them with my favorite aftermarket insole and now everything is peachy. Caution! The nubuck version is much less pliable than the regular leather version. Also, if the shoes are too loose, you can shorten the laces yourself by tying a new knot and optionally cutting the laces. But then there is no going back. But in the end I'm glad I got these shoes. There has been some sort of Peu around for a decade or more. When these wear out I may just buy another pair.

My husband loves these shoes, they're the perfect shape for his foot. You can adjust the lace somewhat for a custom fit.

Simplicity, comfort, and style are all the things that I have been looking for and found in this shoe. Too bad simple style and basic quality craftsmanship are so expensive. Aside from the price, I would recommend these to anyone who values these attributes.
