I bought this jacket for my husband for Christmas, but I also have three myself (because I'm a woman and we need multiples of everything). Here's what I love about it. First, it repels hair...dog hair, cat hair, horse hair, all kinds of hair. This is important because you'll never look like you've been rolling on the floor with the dog. Second, it really doesn't wrinkle so it always looks crisp and clean. Third, it blocks the wind. I use mine to ride in an outdoor arena during the winter (in Atlanta) and as long as I'm wearing a base layer, I'm fine. Lastly, it washes easily; let it hang dry. It's designed to fit on the snug side so keep that in mind when ordering.

This jacket is amazing. You'll need a sweater underneath if it's really cold out, but wind doesn't enter!!! Kind of the same material as a wetsuit.

This is a great jacket. It blocks wind and is light weight and water repellant. I would 100% recommend this jacket.

I purchased this jacket to get me through the frigid Tucson winters. Just kidding -- sort of. It is perfect for the amount of winter we get here and was very comfortable on windy days. I would describe it as medium weight - more than a windbreaker, less than a true winter jacket. The fit is very snug, in a good way. The exterior chest pocket is a nice feature and the zippers seem very well made. An interior pocket would have been a nice addition to this jacket, but it is still great without it. If you are a Star Trek:The Next Generation fan than get ready to look like you are wearing Capt. Picard\'s uniform top. That can be cool too!

I bought this coat for my husband for Christmas in 2014. I waited to do a review on it only because I wanted to see how it wore on him over time (since he is a big believer in minimalism and only has one coat for many years). We originally had to return the coat because, it did run short in the arms. However, we purchased it in a larger size and he has loved it for the past couple years. I would recommend this coat to anyone who needs a solid winter coat that isn't bulky.

This jacket looks and feels great. The color way is nice rather than the north face black and the material definitely blocks the wind!

Seems well made. The only negative I have is the sleeves are way too long. I am 6ft and 185 pounds. I purchased a large which fits perfectly around the shoulders and waist. I have to have 2.5 ins removed from the sleeves by my tailor. I never had this issue before with any other jacket, otherwise this is a great addition to my wardrobe.

I enjoy the North Face brand jackets. They are very warm, and very lightweight, I hate having bulk in the cold and winter months. This jacket is great for fall and winter but definitely to hot for spring. This blocks the wind very well, and isn't very stiff. I love the velcro around the wrists for adjustments. I purchased the black and blue addition, and the blue is even better in person. The price is awesome as well, you're definitely getting your money's worth with this one.

The coat is very nicely made and looks super durable. I bought it for my husband for Christmas so not sure if sizing yet, but I think it will fit perfect. This jacket is perfect for walking around town and a great outer shell layer for outdoor activities. The gray color dresses up or down and looks smart and trim with casual business wear. I'm a big guy and found the relaxed cut to be perfect- not so loose that I feel like I'm wearing a tent, but not a tight "athletic fit" to make me feel like I'm a walking sausage. A great all around, windproof, water resistant shell.

Great value for a quality jacket. I had a hard time deciding between black and grey. Went with the grey and have no regrets. So far I've worn it in temperatures down in the low 40's with a breeze and have been comfortable. This is my first North Face jacket and it won't be my last!

Purchased it as a gift. He needed a jacket for spring/fall. It's true to size and fits very well. Extremely comfortable when it's cold and even when it's not so cold. A great gift.

Bought this for my son's birthday. He loves the jacket and the color. Has the look of a really nice jacket; but can also be worn with jeans. Our whole family has the Apex jackets and we all love them!!

I gave this to my son for Christmas. He wears it often and says it keeps him very warm. Fits him true to size and nicely designed.

I will definitely be using Zappos again. I received my package in record time just a couple of weeks before Christmas. I had to exchange the item for a larger side and actually received the item in the correct size before I sent the original item back. So needless to say returns/exchanges are super easy. Just FYI the North Face Apex Bionic Jacket does fit a little slimmer than the other North Face jackets I have ordered before.

Bought this for my college age son. He loves it. Great warmth for not a lot of bulk. Very stylish and fits well. Most importantly, it is wind proof and water resistant for those walks around campus.

North Face Jackets are the best bar none for comfort, wind resistance and water repellent! The Bionic has been a great replacement coat for a NF I had for years!

Love this jacket. I have a North Face fleece jacket that I've worn for years, but always had to layer up with it because the wind would cut right through it. The Apex Bionic Jacket cuts the wind and keeps you warm without being overly bulky. Definitely would recommend this!

I have shopped at Zappos for probably 10 years now. Their selection is huge and their customer service is amazing. 24/7. Always friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. Next day delivery is awesome. If the item you ordered is the wrong size, etc., they will send you a return label and ship you the proper size before you even have time to think about boxing up your return. They absolutely stand behind their warranties. I have had zippers on a couple of coats stop working and Zappos immediately replaced these coats. This is my first North Face jacket, and I'm very happy with it. Pros: It's well insulated and looks great. Con: The only negative I've discovered is that the fabric on the inside of sleeves tends to cause the sleeves of long sleeved shirts to ride up while putting on the jacket, but it's nothing too troublesome.

Great jacket! First and foremost the fit is on point for me. I am 6 feet tall, lean, with long arms and the medium fits me perfectly. The Bionic Jacket is good alone in temperatures ranging from 60 degrees to 30 degrees. However, I wore this jacket with a mid-weight layer in the single digits...with a hat and gloves of course. This is my favorite casual jacket. Besides good warmth, I was able to wear this North Face in very wet and snowy weather without an issue. I repeat, you must layer for this to be effective. I highly recommend.
