NOT recommending: I love a warm house slipper that covers the ankles .. and have tried these, with high hopes. Do NOT recommend. Each pair had the same stitching flaws at the sole: stitching unraveled; I glued it. Pair I have is in second year: sole is split in several places, although I wear them only in the house. Hard to clean. Great idea .. low production standards.

The sizing on the Acorn website does not match the sizing on the actual slipper sleeve. I ordered two sets trying to get the correct size for a woman's size 8. Neither size I ordered worked. Very disappointed.

Bought these for my wife and they are way too big and we used the size chart too. The top part where the sock ends is just an elastic band and it can unroll so you can see it too

I have had a few pairs of Acorn slipper socks and loved them. Unlike regular slippers, they kept my ankles and lower leg warm throughout the winter. But the pair I just received is so narrow I couldn't even get my foot down into the slipper part. The sock seemed stiff and wouldn't stretch out like normal socks do.

the size listed on your website IS NOT the size the actual item arrives in, mine were an entire size too small - I returned both pair for a complete refund and hope to have a credit soon

the upper sock was sewn in to tight could not put my fist thru the opening in upper sock to put slipper sock on i had purchased these same socks for my wife and they fit her great and she still wears them i had purchased her socks last year as a gift it seems like this year's socks that you received were not inspected as far as quality goes these socks are made defectively . sorry i purchased them plus it took almost 3 weeks to get them .i would advise shipping usps instead of fedex.

The slipper part is fine, but the sock part is more narrow than a regular sock. So in fact it doesn't fit.

Older generation of these socks, used softer wool that conformed better and was easier to slip you foot into. This wool is so stiff and just not the same. This pair has a Very long leather foot bed...almost too long for the size. Width is Perfect.

This is my third pair of Acorns. Previous two pairs were extremely comfortable, easy to get on and off. This pair is EXTREMELY hard to pull on. The sock is way too narrow, with little stretch. Also, much taller than my old pairs, so more to pull on. Sock is so tight that I can't even pull it up over my calf. I'm already wearing a hole in the sock from the extreme tension I have to use to pull them on. Too late to return, as I got them Christmas 2017 but just took them out of the box. If this is the future of Acorn I won't be buying another pair.

I ordered the XL and had to return, I have now ordered the XXL and have to return. Been a acorn customer for well over 15 years...the new construction is different....much to tight...no stretch like previous years...getting foot in is very difficult and will end up most likely ripping from all the extra pulling needed.... such a disappointment as I love the product for cold weather...come on acorn what happened??

These were ordered for my husband and when he tried to put them on, they were so small, he couldn't even start to pull them up. I wonder if I ordered them too small or if they just run very small. I feared trying to order these in a larger size as I wasn't sure of the sizing. As for the quality of these slippers, they look like they are very well made and would be very comfortable.

I am a size 12- 13...I could not even put on the XL size...the top sock part was too narrow to even put my foot thru to try on.

I have had two previous pair. The wool was warm, comfortable, and stretched just enough to be comfortable. I liked the suede sole without padding. It was what I wanted, warm socks with a bit of a sole for comfort and durability. I received a new pair and will be returning them. They are the same size as previous pairs but are impossibly tight and uncomfortable. The sole is the identical size to my old ones but the wool upper is nothing like my previous pairs. I am so disappointed that I have lost access to a long time favorite. Change is not always an improvement. (emerging information and experience with "earthing" says wool and leather do not interfere with the connection to benefit. Artificial material padding in between knit wool and suede sole destroys this effect.)

The sock portion of the slipper is so narrow that I can't get the slipper on at all! My wife tried washing the slippers thinking she could stretch them a little so I could get them on but that didn't work. Next, we're going to try to put something round down the sock and into the slipper to stretch when wet and then let it dry. So disappointing.

Have had two pair of these prior to this order. Quality does not even compare. They have been returned.

I have owned many Acorn slipper products over the years and never been disappointed. This pair is positively bizarre. The size chart indicates XXL as the suggested size for a Men's size 12-13 foot. I wear in that range so ordered them. They arrived about an 1.5 inches longer than needed and so narrow that the sole is narrower than my foot. The sole, in fact, isn't even shaped like a human foot. I spoke to Customer service about this and was told that with the mergers with Isotoner and some other companies they have found some problems with some new suppliers. A second pair was sent in case the first was an anomaly and it was similar although longer. Customer service refunded the charge and didn't require for me to return the defective slippers and suggested donating them locally to a clothing bank of some kind. My feeling is that the company was very responsible in terms of dealing with the product but the slippers themselves were completely unacceptable.

I've been wearing Acorn Slipper socks (cotton) since the early 80s, buying new pairs with confidence because they were one of those perfect items that does't need fixing. I'm tall and slim and the new fit of these socks are to tight around the ankle, and the top of the sock also way too tight. Further, the length of the sock is now much too long. I had to return them much to my great disappointment! I can't image someone with larger ankles/calf than mine being comfortable in these...I"m a standard size 11 and slim. My wife ordered a new pair and returned them for the same reason as well. What a shame.

My wife gave me these as a Christmas gift as my previous slipper socks had finally worn out. I've been wearing these for decades, replacing them every few years after they've worn out. They've always been my favorite slipper. This year however, apparently Acorn has changed the sizing and fit for the worse. I'm a tall slim guy and these fit very tight around the ankles and about an inch too long. I can understand why those who have larger feet/ankles are even more disappointed. I finally went to the Acorn site to see if they made a change, and they did calling it a new "fit". They fixed something that wasn't broke! I'm really disappointed.l I've worn them several times since Christmas really wanting them to fit and hoping they would stretch out, but have not. I threw away the packaging on Christmas day thinking they were the same slipper sock as I've always had. Wrong. They're just very very slightly worn on the sole (not much) as I wanted to see if they would fit better. So without the original packaging (just a small wrapper) and worn 3-4 times I can't return them according to Zappos return policy. This isn't Zappos fault. It's Acorn's decision to change then fit. So beware if you've worn these in the past. They are not the same.

I have a pair of these slipper sock that I bought years ago. I love the comfort and warmth. I wanted to replace them and ordered new ones in the same size. The new ones were too narrow and way too long. I triped over the toe when walking. I have a medium width foot but felt like my foot was falling over the footbed. They were not comfortable so I returned them and am still wearing my old ones. Wish you had kept the same sizing.

Sock portion designed for "stork" legs. Will not stretch enough to pull up on calf.
