Steen Review - Fantastic shoe! It is the most comfortable dress shoe I have ever owned. I now own it in both colors. I own several different Allen Edmond models, but this one fits me the best. I wish it came in Cordovan so I could buy it as well. It’s also a plus that these are made in the USA!

Instep too tight. Could not get shoe on.

I have purchased two pair of Steens. The first pair was a black size 12D and after a few months I needed to go to the Doctor because my small toe on my right foot became irritated to a point I could not walk. I have owned several AE in other styles and never had this issue. I never go to the Dr...I mean never. I had no choice but to go to the Dr. as my toe was so jacked up. Showing my loyalty to AE, I bought a brown (chili?) size 12E. Major difference! I ordinarily do not wear an E width, but it was absolutely necessary with this shoe. All other quality factors are excellent with this shoe. Just don't make the mistake of buying your typical width with these shoes.

Too Narrow - Agree 100% with Gross Pointe. Couldn't even get the shoe onto my foot.

I agree with Grosse Pointe. I agree with Grosse Pointe, the D width in this shoe does seem tighter than my other D width Allen Edmonds shoes and not quite as comfortable. Instead of my usual D width I need an E in this shoe.

Fits like a blister - I've owned several dozen pairs of AE over the years and have never been disappointed previously. Wore once, stitching tore, first and last with this particular sole. Still a loyal AE customer but fit, finish and comfort with these is awful.
