It really does feel a full size smaller. I had to return my first order for a larger size. I don't know if it was the shoes or the 6 months of stretching, high arch Birkenstock-wearing, and night splints I had before buying them but now, 8 months after it came, my plantar fasciitis is gone! Having PF is like playing baseball: you have your rituals and you're not sure which exact one works, so you maintain all the rituals to maintain your good luck. MAYBE it was the shoes, maybe not, but they're SUPER comfortable (after the break-in period) and why switch up a good thing? Cuter than expected, worth the money, and I'm incredibly superstitious about them now, too.

I buy these shoes every time since developing plantar fasciitis. I have tried many others but these are the most comfortable I've found. They don't seem to have the durability that I would like, but are worth it for the reduction in pain. I love the gray/rose for trail running!

This shoe is absolutely the best shoe in the world! I have plantar fasciitis plus I also have chronic pelvic instability (SI joint issues & pubic bone pain)...as long as I wear these shoes, my feet do not hurt & my pelvis has more stability! Love them! I wear nothing but these shoes 24/7...I cannot walk bare foot either so I put these shoes on the minute I get out of bed till I go to bed. They have lasted me nearly 18 months wearing them that long & today I just ordered another pair! I will never wear another shoe!

This is my second pair of Ecco shoes in this model. They are super comfortable and don't even have to be broken in.

Great walking shoe. This is my second pair of Ecco's that I wear for walking. Great support for my "sensitive" muscles. Like my last pair, I found they run a whole size smaller. I do wear athletic socks with them.

This is my second pair of ECCO sneakers and although they are expensive they are so durable and long lasting. Fit true to size.

I normally wear a size 9. I ordered a size 41 in these shoes and they fit great. I had plantar fasciotomy surgery 8 weeks ago and these were my first athletic shoes I tried. I walk on my treadmill every morning and my foot feels great. I want to find a dressier shoe that feels this good.

These shoes fit well. I have a little more room in the shoe then my other Ecco model and easier to put on. Like the color. Walked yesterday for 1 1/2 hours up hills and down with comfort.

Very comfortable, energizing walking shoe. I have a very high arch, so I use my orthotic in them with great success. I am a typical size 8 and these fit perfectly. I would like a khaki color but the grey is fine.

I normally wear an 8.5 in most shoes and a 9 in sneakers (usually Asics). I bought the 38 and 39 in this style and had to return both because they were too small. Disappointing but I did exchange for a larger size because they were so incredibly comfortable.

These Ecco shoes are so comfortable and functional. On my feet for 12 hours at a time and no pain in feet or legs. Great cushion and support all rolled into one.

I love these shoes! I have a Sacroiliac Joint injury and these are the only shoes I have found that allow me to walk distances without pain. I wore my first pair on a trip to Italy - walked miles, climbed volcanoes, etc. all without pain. This is my second pair as I wore the first pair out. They run a little short and narrow. I have a narrow foot so this shoe works well for me. I had to order a size longer than I normally would to ensure proper length. The shoe is roomy in the toe which allows for better foot use while walking/running. Highly recommend.

I love buying shoes from Zappos! First of all they ship for free and if you need to return your purchase that is free as well. It's easier than buying shoes locally. I love the Ecco Performance RXP 3040. I run at least 5 miles a day. I have plantar fasciitis and started wearing these running shoes and I no longer run in pain.

I should have taken the time to read the other reviews - they do run small! I've re-ordered one size up.

Ecco are the only shoes I buy. I've had surgery on 2 neuromas and plantar fasciitis for years. But these shoes are so well made that I don't have to use my orthotics.

Love the fit, the style and the comfort. I have narrow feet and these fit perfect. I also have plantar fasciitis, and these shoes didn't seem to make it any better but they are the most comfortable I've found. Love having that spring back in my step. My only disappointment was in the make of the lacings; the loops that the laces fit through started breaking within a couple of months of wear.

I hate sneakers but I need them for my flat arch. These sneakers are the most comfortable I could wear them all day and not realize I still have them on. Other sneakers are always so heavy on my feet and I can't wait to get them off these are wonderful. I walked Disney for 3 days and felt great. I love them.

I love these shoes. I've had 4 pairs & will need another pair in a few months. Great support & therapeutic for my plantar fasciitis. Maybe the toe box is a little narrower than most but fits me perfectly.

Best shoe I've ever worn in my life! I won't wear another tennis shoe ever again! I have plantar fasciitis in addition to a connective tissue disorder & this shoe not only provides the support for my feet but my whole skeletal structure stays in alignment! My only complaint is they 'breathe' and because my toes can't tolerate the cold without pain, I cannot wear these in the winter. I'm on the hunt to find an all leather shoe exactly like this that I can wear in the winter! Definitely worth the money!

This is the 3rd pair of Ecco running shoes I have bought. I have Plantar Fasciitis. These help so much! I found that the RXP 3040 & RXP 3070 run half size small. I bought the next size up from what I usually wear.

I love these shoes! I was diagnosed with PF (plantar's fasciitis) about 2 years ago. I tried everything short of surgery. Thought I would never run again. These shoes changed that for me. Just ran a 10k on Saturday. The bridge technology is awesome.

When I went from 5Ks to 10Ks to half marathons and finally marathons, I needed a shoe that could keep up. After running a half marathon in different shoes and getting a stress fracture, I decided to get these for the marathon and ran the entire thing with basically no pain!

Loved this shoe! Great support and fits like a glove. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be available in my size through Zappos.

Love this shoe! This is my second pair of Ecco Performance's RXP shoes. They are my favorite walking shoe! They are light weight and the mesh keeps my feet cooler. I have a narrow heel and high arches and this shoe accommodates perfectly.
