This bag has several great features. The little side zip compartment is the perfect place to store and access cell phone and keys. The wide strap makes it very comfortable and it sits well on the shoulder. It is simple inside as there are not tons of compartments to lose things.

I've been searching for a well-constructed, high fashion bag in a color other than black for a long time. I chose the Paulette because of the interesting shape as well as the eye-popping color (zinnia red). I am pleased with the bag. The leather is soft and not plasticky. The leather smells wonderful! Be warned that the zinnia color is more orange than red. I like the color, but it may not suit your taste if you are expecting a redder color. There is just enough metal hardware on the strap to look trendy. Overall, I'm pleased with the look and quality of this bag.

Beautiful Bag! I ordered the Sage color and it is a gorgeous olive green! You have to appreciate this kind of the leather though. I bought a bag with almost the same leather/color in Paris and it only gets better with age. It has a slight shine to it and when it starts to wear it looks even better... very vintage. I don't love the inside lining pattern but the pockets make up for it and the size is perfect. Handle is nice and wide, comfy on the shoulder but probably shorter than you'll expect. Overall, great look & shape!

Lovely Bag - I have this bag in the Ocean color and I love it. I needed a large bag that would hold everything that I would need in a day and I must admit I was very nervous as I bought this bag online going only by pictures. (I think I drove my roommate a little bit nuts with my concerns: What if it wasn’t large enough? What if it was too large? It looks a little bit shiny in this picture. I don’t want a reflective bag!) But I finally got my bag and I love it. The front zip pocket is perfect for easy access to a cell or even a small wallet. It was a lot flatter than I was expecting. I was concerned that because it is not very deep that I would have issues placing items inside it. I do not. I can even fit my small Nalgene bottle in the back corner and you can’t even tell it’s there. Even when I have everything that I need inside of it, it still keeps its slim shape and does not look bulky. I am delighted to own this bag.

I ordered this purse in a beautiful citrus yellow and love it. I love the color, shape, size and workmanship. It is just big enough and not too big. It stays on your shoulder so well. Love the small phone/key compartment outside. I have always wanted an orange purse and unfortunately saw this same one in zinnia, a very vibrant orange so I splurged and ordered that, too. It arrived yesterday and is gorgeous. This is my third Hobo bag and you cannot find matching quality anywhere!

I had been looking for a neutral color purse with style on every website from Zappos to Neiman Marcus, and somehow overlooked this bag. When I was shopping in a downtown boutique this bag caught my eye (in the stone color), I immediately put it on my arm and thought this was the perfect purse. I still wasn't sure about committing to spending the money on it, and so I went home, but I could not stop thinking about this purse the whole day, so I went back to the store right before closing time and bought it, and I am so glad that I did. It totally adds a polished and stylish look to all of my spring outfits, and as for the picky lady who said this purse looks cheap and plastic-like I completely disagree, maybe she just got it in the wrong color. The stone is perfect! Goes with everything. Buy it! You will be happy you did.

I love Hobo bags. They're stylish without being garish. This one did not disappoint. Shoulder strap stays on the shoulder nicely. I like the end pocket for quick access to my phone.

This is my second Hobo Bag (first one was the Claire) and it did not disappoint. It's a very gorgeous bag. The leather is beautiful, but it does dry and crack over time so make sure you condition it often. The interior paisley fabric leaves something to be desired, but the pockets are great. I ordered the Sienna Vintage Leather one and the purse is more a rich cognac color than the burnt red color shown in the picture.

Great Bag - I own a couple of Hobo bags and I absolutely love this one.

Hobo Paulette bag - LOVE this bag. It's the perfect size - small enough that things don't get lost inside but big enough to hold everything. The bag itself is really light weight so even if you fill it full with your own stuff, it doesn't get too heavy. And all the storage compartments on the sides are great too!

Color is GORGEOUS! I've been looking over a year for a teal bag. I love how teal goes with both brown and black so well. Finally, I came across this bag at Zappos. The color is called "ocean" but it is a deep teal shade. The pictures do not do this bag justice. The color is vibrant, yet it still goes with almost any outfit. The size is perfect (not giant but plenty of room). The leather has a nice shine to it, but it is not too glossy. As always, Zappos was great. They sent it right away. Their customer service reps also responded back right away when I inquired about a matching wallet for the bag. Zappos and Hobo International are both great!

Hobo International Paulette - I bought this purse in black. The leather has a nice slight shiny crackled glaze. This bag is very well made and has pockets for anything you could need to carry. Overall - excellent!!!

Hobo International Fan - I love Hobo International purses! This one is a great size--big enough to hold a large wallet,cell phone, checkbook, sunglasses, and small cosmetic bag, but it does not look like a huge bag. It also has several pockets inside so that you stay organized and easily find what you need. The leather feels great and it is a really cute shape. So glad that I chose it.

Love it! I love this bag - it is a bit slouchier than it looks in the over-the-shoulder pictures, but it has good pockets. The interior fabric is not my favorite - sort of a Pucci paisley - but that's just me. Love the color, which is a light navy, and the bag is super comfortable to have over your shoulder.

Beautiful - Slightly smaller shoulder drop than I expected - though it is winter and I'm wearing big coats, this really is a spring/summer bag. Leather is very soft, color is great - rather narrow shape, more than I expected, but I am very excited to use this when spring comes!

My only Hobo International disappointment. And I have owned and loved many of their bags over the years. My main problem with this one is the strap. It would not stay on my shoulder and it is too wide and flat to feel comfortable in the hand. The bag needs to be filled pretty well for it to be weighted properly. On the plus side, size and shape are great, and the little outside pocket is genius. No useless, tacky hardware. I have the Mogano color -- a beautiful, warm chocolate brown, which unfortunately doesn't seem to be available any longer. If you see it in any other HOBO bag, snap it up. It's about the richest-looking brown I've ever seen.

I hate to break up such a positive take! I bought this bag in black and a Sandra and another from the international collection of vintage distressed leather. A friend recommended the line. I could not believe my eyes, and it looks like no one saw it my way. If you put a gloss finish on a distressed or pleated bag it looks like plastic. Italian leather and HOBO knows how to do this, looks so rich on a solid flat surface. When you add crinkles, it looks like a supermarket plastic bag. The inside is beautiful. I would gladly wear it inside out! Lovely tapestry inside, fake leather outside. Thin and crappy. The Sandra came folded in half. That said it all. I am doing this review on only this bag, but that whole collection was awful. I tried HARD to convince myself this bag was nice. The style was fine. FLAT or bumpy leather for this design and the Sandra which is so much longer than high, I had a see saw. My husband came home and said "where'd you get that piece of c--p?" The sepia is the worst. It's RED and plastic. Hobo makes some gorgeous stuff. How you can think this is nice leather (look at the weight and crinkles) is beyond me. Very nice fake bags. All three back after pondering for days. I could not keep any on my shoulder without laughing. Years ago, I bought Tano. Then, bags were gorgeous Italian leather and very high priced. I predicted that return and withstood the ridicule. Their first group was appalling! Also shiny and plastic. They grew up fast. Looks like Hobo is as well. I hope so. Even Coach is playing catch - up. Their newest Carly is a copy of Tano boogie Bucket line! Now that bag comes in many choices of leather. I collect handbags. This is my opinion. So many choices. Plastic? Worth 10 bucks to me! Way to ruin a beautiful design, lining not included. Look AGAIN, Pleeeeese.

Love the Paulette hobo! I have all my necessary essentials in this bag. Purchased the stingray color. I would highly recommend! Quality soft leather, perfect size with pockets inside and out. Shoulder strap sturdy soft leather. Very pleased with my purchase.

I love the Hobo Paulette - this is my forth one. It is beautiful soft leather and the perfect size and almost weighs nothing. I have a really bad back that requires me to consult a pain management doctor ongoing. This bag is perfect for me and my back!

Just got this in the honey snake. It is so pretty!! Looking for a new fall bag I realized just how tired I was of brown and black. This can go year round. Has a bit of bling with the subtle shine of the snake texture which I like. Very comfortable and light on the shoulder. I also love the little zip pocket on the side...perfect for sunglasses. LOVE IT!!!

A really nice bag, but it doesn't work for me. The leather is gorgeous and the stone color goes with everything, but the size is a little small and the opening is a bit tight. Also, the drop on the strap is a bit small for a shoulder bag, especially with coats. I am keeping the Hobo Gabor instead.

The item arrived more "distressed" than I would have liked...in that it had scratches on it! Also, within three months of having it, the threading on the inside began to unravel and the inner pocket zipper broke. Super bummed, because otherwise, based on its functionality, it's the best bag I've ever owned.
