These are the best for high arches! I have posterior tibial tendonitis and these sandals feel better on my feet than when I wear my custom-made orthotics with my walking shoes...I have high arches and these shoes fit right up there and support my feet perfectly. I am so happy with my Chacos - I never take them off.

Chaco's are the BEST - Love the shoe! I have 6 other pair of Chaco sandals and I love them all. I suffer from lower back pain, but I can wear these all day long without being fatigued. Great shoe.

Great shoe! This is a great shoe! Everything is true to description. If you have any doubt about width... they did feel a little tight, but not uncomfortable.

AMAZING - I can't say how much I love these shoes. I haven't taken them off. I wear them on light hikes, around town, to work, everywhere. Once I got the adjustment right, they fit amazingly.

Great sandal!! Very comfortable sandal...finally! I usually wear Birkenstocks, so didn't know if I would like the hard sole, but the support makes up for it. The wide strap overall is comfortable, and the heel strap makes for an effortless walk. These go with jeans or shorts. I typically wear an 8.5, but ordered these in a 9 and they fit great. Worth every penny - highly recommend. Zappos shipping is amazing - best shopping web site available!!

As hoped for from all the positive reviews - My 1st pair of Chaco sandals and they're everything I had expected. My first word was "wow" when I put them on. I took the recommended sizing to mind and ordered down to a size 6, as I usually wear a 6 1/2M. This gives me about 1/4" +/-, outlines the almost exact length of my foot without hanging over the end or looking as if I have room to grow, which I'm sure the size 7 would have visualized. Also, what impressed me the most was not just the great look, but the engineering of the contoured footbed. I have never felt such arch and foot support (not even with my Birki’s). With all that said, it did take a moment to figure out which way to pull the sandal strapping for a perfect fit. I will be back for another pair, just ordered a pair for my daughter.

Chaco’s are wonderful - This is my first pair of Chaco’s and I just love them. I will be buying many more pairs. They are so comfortable I can walk for miles and miles in them even from the first day. The only consideration for the newbie is whether you want this style with the toe loop or trying the variety without. I sometimes am frustrated by getting the band to feel comfortable. But that is a small issue--- I love them.

One Great Shoe. I have the Chaco Z/2 in the Atlantis color. I was going to get the sage, but they ran out, and I am so glad I got this color, it looks so much better in real life (on the web it looks really bright. Today when I went to a flea market, I was able to stand and walk for hours and even out in the sun. These shoes kept me feel cool and happy. Okay, back to THE shoe; the first think I noticed was the excellent arch support. Now the footbed is not soft, and it takes a while to get used to but, once again, the stability and support is not what I expected (in a good way!). The only thing about this shoe is that the straps (or should I say strap) is all in one. That was the only hard part for me, leaning how to adjust my Chaco’s. Overall these are probably the best sandals I have ever owned.

Great shoes for dirty feet - if you love to get out and get dirty, these shoes are perfect! but it is kind of hard to keep a perfect pedicure in these shoes. they might be 1/2 size bigger than your average shoe (i got a 9 and usually wear 9.5). The tighten strap is a little long for me, but otherwise, the shoes are great. hope you find a color you like.

NO BETTER SHOE!!!! I absolutely LOVE this sandal. This is the second pair of Chacos that I own and if I was rich, I would purchase several more and wear them every day. I am telling you, dressed up for work or dressed down for play, these are the most comfortable shoes on the planet!! If you are thinking of buying them, please do and your feet will thank you. Excellent support and if they get a little dirty, I just throw mine in the washing machine and let air dry. Even talked a girl in the office into getting a pair with me and she was so appreciative that I turned her on to CHACOS!

If you've had trouble with other Chacos, try this one. I bought and returned several styles of Chacos before I settled on the Z2. For me, the toe loop and heel strap made all the difference. Other styles I tried (Hipthong, Rhapsody, and another one) felt really heavy and sloppy on my narrow feet. I also think the wide strap is easier to adjust and stays in place better than the narrow ones. As others have noted, the heel strap is pretty darn long for narrow feet, but my local Birkenstock store trimmed the strap and seared the edge, and now they're perfect. I was ready to give up on Chacos, but I'm glad I didn't. These will be perfect for my outdoor adventures this summer.

Another, greater Chaco - I had the old model of his shoe, bought about 10 years ago. I found it to be a comfortable sidewalk shoe and a great rock-scrambling and water shoe. Unlike other supposed water shoes, it never slips sideways! Summer is slow to start here in Oregon, so I've only tried the new one on in town, but I can say all ready that it's even more comfortable than the past models; really cups my feet. Yay Chacos.

Love these. I walk a lot, and these are incredible. The straps are easily adjustable and comfortable, and the footbed is incredible. They are also made in the USA.

Love my Chaco's! I love these shoes! I got them a half size smaller than I normally wear a 7 1/2 and the 7's fit me perfectly! Love the Atlantis color. And the straps are all adjustable so once you adjust them to your own feet they are like heaven! I'm planning on wearing them all around Europe this summer!

Happy Feet :) I have many scars on my feet from shoes that I have made myself wear, even though they were not comfortable. My brother has been trying to get me to try some Chaco’s since last summer, but I also have a tendency to buy cheap shoes, so I didn't want to spend the money. I finally tried some on at a local store and felt that a wide would be better (I have very short, but wide feet), so I took the plunge and bought this pair on Zappos. You do have to work with the straps a little, but it is SO worth it. The first day I wore them I ended up having them on almost 18 hours, but no pain! They may not be the most dressy looking shoe, but I have a feeling that I will be wearing them a lot this summer anyway. Yay for happy feet. :)

My favorite shoe at a better price - I love my Chaco’s and was looking around for a better price than my local area and even the company website. I knew I would like the shoes but I enjoyed buying them thanks to Zappos.com.

Give em' a chance... The first time I tried them on I thought there was no way I would EVER make them work for me. The straps were too long in some places, too tight in others and I just could not make them work right for my foot. I resolved to send them back right there and then but I REALLY WANTED to make them work, since the reviews I had read were so glowing. So I put them on and just wore them around the house, bending down now and then to adjust them here and there as I walked in them and then suddenly they just felt right. I don't know how it happened but they just kind of clicked with my foot. The extra strap is still too long and kind of drags on the ground but I just ignore it. Maybe I'll get it shortened some day, but knowing me, probably not. Anyway, they are very comfortable casual shoes for walking around either on the street or on hiking trails. I personally do not agree with other reviewers that you could dress them up, unless you are traveling in some beachside Mexican town and are short on shoe choices. This is a day shoe to be worn with jeans or shorts, way too clunky and casual for skirts and/or dresses. But they are definitely part of my essential shoe wardrobe now, which includes several pairs of Dansko clogs, which I stand in for 12 hours a day working as a chef, my $10 flip flops, a well as my Marc Jacobs and Donald Pliner heels!

Good Shoes - These shoes are great. My dog even chewed some on the straps and they didn't break...and that was a year ago. Very comfortable and practical.

Very Happy. I am very happy with my Chaco’s. The only thing was that I thought that my sole was black (that was how it appeared). However it was brown but I was happy with that because I had brown straps and I wanted a brown sole. I wear them all the time now.

Great shoes! I love these shoes! They're really cute and functional and the arch support, in particular, is great. I purchased these for my upcoming semester abroad in Costa Rica, and I have total faith that they'll hold up in the jungle.

So comfortable! In my opinion, this isn't exactly the sexiest-looking shoe out there, but once I tried it on, I had to buy it. I have flat feet and bunions, and was shocked at the excellent arch support and security that this sandal offers. It's not at all loose and "flip-floppy." So far the straps haven't chafed at all (although my boyfriend has the same sandals and sometimes gets blisters from the straps rubbing against his feet). Also, I love that Chaco’s are made from recycled tires to reuse materials that would otherwise add to landfill mass. I found that these run large; normally, I'm a 7 or a 7.5 shoe; for the Chaco Unaweep, I needed a 6.

Figuring out sizing -- happy with choice! I am right in between a 7 and an 8 in Chaco sizes I guess and I was having a hard time deciding. The 8 seemed a bit too long and the 7 a bit too small. But I figured that it was the ankle on the 7 that made the difference, so I got 7 wide and it was perfect. In terms of color, I got the Basil and I wish it had been a darker green (like the actual color of basil).
