Awesome! Excellent fit, so comfortable, can wear these forever. I thought the bottle opener was cool, then I realized where it has been and don't think I want it opening my bottle of beer, unless I am desperate.

Great sandal! The Fanning Leather is the most comfortable pair of sandals I own (and I have two other pairs of great Reef sandals). The footbed is so cushiony and has great arch support.

Surprised - Having plantar fasciitis I was skeptical about any sandals having enough support. I have been pleasantly surprised, and wear these all day without a problem.

These are GREAT! My son wears a size 16 shoe and has very flat feet. I ordered these Reefs and hoped they would work. As soon as he put them on, it was a big sigh of relief. They fit perfect!

Best Flip Flop Ever - I love them so much I bought a second pair. One pair for around the house and social events, and the other for my lake home.

Good sandals - Nice shoe, awesome support with rigid sole. As comfy as a flip flop but wearable all day.

Best flip-flops ever owned - These are the coolest flip-flops. They stay on my feet very well (versus slapping around like some). Not to mention how cool it is to have a bottle opener built in -- impresses everyone. Cool conversation starter.

Great as always. I have owned approximately 10 pairs of these. They are a bit pricey for sure, but they are my go to flip flop for sure. I do wish they would get rid of the bottle opener. One, who wants to use the bottom of their shoe to open their beverage? Two, if you can’t open a beer bottle with just about anything readily available, turn in your man card. The opener gets caught on various things while walking. It also can be uncomfortable if you step on something with only the center of you’re foot. And why do you need an opener on both flip flops? One opener is not enough? Are you opening beers for a small German village or something? Got me.

This is my third or fourth pair of leather Fannings in a row.I love them for their durability and comfort. They usually last me a few years, I and I wear them constantly for over half the year. This pair is really comfortable so far, but I don’t know if I like them as much as the previous version. The footbed on these is a different rubber material which is very grippy, but is not as comfortable to me as the footbed on my old pair. I threw my old pair out when they broke, but I’m pretty sure the footbed was leather. It was smoother but definitely more slippery when wet. The leather seemed like it must have been thicker and more stout as well, because these bend much easier than the old ones did. I also noticed that the piece that goes between your toes and connects the sole to the thong is like a nylon material on this version, where it was leather before. I was never bothered by the leather piece in my toes, but I know some complained previously that the leather between toes was not comfortable and they preferred the nylon on the non-leather Fannings. I’m not sure about these. They almost seem like they are more cheaply made than the previous ones, but they don’t look or feel cheap. It just seems that way compared to my last pair. I’m sure that the footbed will grow on me as my foot get used to it and it breaks in, but the way that it flexes easier makes me think it will not last as long as my other pairs did. I could be wrong, and only time will tell, but these are still the best sandals available in my opinion, and I have tried many.

Reef flip-flops are generally very supportive and comfortable, but the Fanning Leather flip-flops I ordered are a bit tighter than the others I've worn. The others aren't leather so perhaps these just need a little breaking in.

Great flip flops. I normally wear a size 10 shoe, but these felt like 1/2 size to a full size too small for me.

Very comfortable out of the box, I bought these a month early after reading that they need to be broken in but that wasn't the case. The upper is soft and I had no issues with blisters or discomfort with the toe strap. Within the first day though I could feel the church key assembly through the sole in the arch and instep. It feels like you are stepping on a rock with thin flops on, the area that I feel it is about a 1 inch square. The arch is high but even with the thick sole it is not thick enough to prevent the sole from collapsing onto the church key. I did use the church key several times in the first week which was a large selling point for buying these with summer coming up. But for the money, I would like them to be more comfortable. I would recommend a redesign of the church key assembly or placing it farther back on the heel where the sole is thicker and wont be compressed into your foot. Overall they would be 100% if the church key was removed. Overall good with the only issue is comfort. I am 6' 250, so I compress them more than most people, so a smaller man may not have an issue.

I wear sandals and put them through a lot of tough usage. The Reef brand has consistently provided the most durable and comfortable models of sandals I've ever worn.

Bought for Hawaii trip. Served me well, but like the Reef Smoothy better for comfort. Bottle opener in sole came in handy.

I didn\'t expect them to be so comfortable - the air sole is fantastic and the whole shoe is awesome soft and well fit. Good stuff.

Reef Sandal Review - The Reef Fanning Leather is a very comfortable sandal with good looks. I'm pleased with them and I would recommend them to others.

Still the best... I began wearing Fannings about 4 years ago, and I buy a new pair (or 2) every year or so. I bought the white leather versions, and I am very pleased. The look probably won’t be for everyone, they are rather bright before you wear them in, but I love them. Comfort loses 1 star because the toe pillar on the leather version is slightly more rigid than the fabric version, so ever-so-slightly less comfortable.
