These shoes are awesome! They seem to vanish from my feet when I put them on -- no pinching, great support, very comfortable, and great on long walks. I will buy more of this!

Great shoe. Very comfortable. Runs large, but that's OK. It's a heavy shoe but it's so comfortable that doesn't matter.

I bought my fist pair on sale at a store that was closing out the Mephisto brand. My job required that I be on my feet most of the day and every pair of shoes that I tried just was not comfortable, even the relatively expensive Ecco brand. Long story short I now have three pairs of the Match (paid full price for two) and all I can say is that they are amazingly comfortable and well worth the cost.

Mephisto speaks for itself. Always wanted a pair and have tried on a zillion before I had the money to buy. At least I new what I wanted, and of course they are perfect. It was so nice I could buy them through Zappos where customer service is always the very best.

I have flat feet with plantar facitiis. I have tried probably 50 shoes over the last year and this is the only shoe that works for me. I was very hesitant to buy this because of the high price, but in the end with the life time restructuring program I believe it will be a great buy.

Feel very solid, almost heavy. The lacing action is very smooth & enables me to get very precise with fit, which I like. Also, they are quiet. (I hate squeaky shoes.)

I believe these shoes are no longer made and no longer available. Just in case there are a few left, I owned my first pair for 13 years -- had them reconditioned by Mephisto once. Now on my recent second pair; no shoes are more comfortable for long walking.

I spent the first few days of a 2 1/2 week Key West Florida vacation in Nikes and walking everywhere and suffering from it, I saw the shoe store shingle "Finest Walking Shoe in the World" along Duval Street, went in tried them out, cringed at the price, but encouraged to get them by my spouse. I wore them the rest of the vacation and they "healed" (heeled, pun intended) my foot problem. A few days later walking the beach in Clearwater barefooted my feet hurt again but in a few minutes after putting my shoes back on, the pain was gone. I could not believe it.

Let me start by saying that I am 36 years old and have been working as a nurse for 13 years on a fast paced cardiac unit with very unforgiving floors. I'm accustomed to Birkenstocks and Danskos, both of which have there fine points and not so fine points. Birks generally fit too wide and allow my foot to float around on the footbed. Danskos can be too rigid and I can't move very fast in them. Neither have much shock absorption. Both have such strong arches that they caused my medial longitudinal arch (the big arch) to lock up (it is supposed to flex with each step taken) and caused my feet to over supinate (roll outward). I had all kinds of aches and pains in my feet, knees, and back that I mostly blamed on the job. Then I broke down and bought a pair of these. What a relief! The arch is perfect, the fit is perfect, the cushion is perfect and the quality is top notch. No more pain! These are very sturdy shoes yet they feel light and airy on your feet! I can work all day (12 hour shifts), several days in a row and I could go out dancing each night! I want to try other Mephisto styles but I am worried they won't be as nice as the Match. I must say, the Danskos felt awesome for a long time and alleviated my pain better than the Birks, but I'd twist my ankles often with them and the high arch would become grating after a while. The match simply feel like a perfectly supported, unobtrusive glove. One final note. They felt great, but a little snug out of the box (especially compared to Birks), mostly along the lateral aspect of my foot. This dissipated within a few days and was never painful. Now they are like well molded butter!

Best shoes ever. Excellent shoes. A bit pricey, but worth it. Rady to order another pair.

No break-in required. Feels like an old favorite right out of the box.

A great pair of shoes! Another great fit; another great buy from Zappos.com! The shoes are perfect in every way, from the color to the size to how they feel on my feet with my orthotic inserts. It's very difficult finding shoes in Montana period. Esecially, when you have difficulty it finding just the right pair. Overall, a true gem!

Mephisto Match - This is one of the most comfortable walking shoes ever! They are pricey but you get what you paid for & you will have them for years to come.

This is an ugly shoe. I bought these for the comfort and quality, which it delivers. I’m a nurse, on my feet for 12 hours. These shoes keep my feet comfortable.

Yes, very good shoe, unique, light, you forget you even have it on. It feels like you are seating with your heals on a 1 inch door threshold and the rest of your foot is on level ground. I could see the improvement in posture after prolonged use. Negative would be obviously the price, which i have to say Zappos agreed to make a one time courtesy price match, and that made push the buy button. Is it worth it? I would have to say no, but yes in the $200 range. If you look at Rockport World Tour shoes you will see the 95% resemblance for $100. I also own that shoes and must say feels identical to Mephisto except the sole is more inflexible. Cheaper, almost as good shoes out there, but if you want to try the best and then look for an alternative that could be a viable option. Overall, i would recommend it!

Excellent quality, solid great arch support. These are really comfortable. But, they are really heavy and don't make a great fashion statement. Would wear them on vacation if I had a lot of ground to cover. Hard to match with dress slacks for work, not bad with jeans. If you have sensitive feet, they work.

My 5th or 6th Pair - I always order white, though they disfigure easily & show scuff marks and scratches. But, by dabbing, not using circles, white polish plus buffing, they look nearly as good as new. My latest pair came through with the tongue on the left shoe misaligned to about 11:00, so I first have to move it to the right before putting on the shoe. Aggravating, but not enough to pkg & return the shoes.

Not expecting such a heavy shoe, were too wide also. I need to return.

Boy, I REALLY wanted and expected to love these. Have owned Mephistos before (Mostly Ecco now-couldn't find right replacement for their Biome Walker, now discontinued)and really liked them. Impessed with the reviews, I tried the Match in both 45.5 and 45, but no deal. One too large, the other maybe too small, but both seemed too wide in a Medium, which is all I've ever worn. For this price, I couldn't stomach any question marks, so returned both pairs. Have settled on Mephisto Vito, which seems to fit fine, though I'm sure it provides less support.

I ordered this shoe for it’s supposed “Air Jet system channels air throughout the shoe with every step to keep the foot fresh and healthy.” Well, I feel nothing with every step. I kept the shoes. They are comfortable enough. For $375, I just wish it lived up to its claims.

despite all the positive reviews for this shoe,I found that it just doesn't fit me very well. The toe box seems too narrow, and the internal length seems a little short. I was disappointed, but am just returning it

weird, spongy. like stepping on a wet pile of moss. also ridiculously ugly. like old man at a golf resort lobby ugly. like your fuddly dad on saturday afternoon in the backyard fugly. they look like prescription shoes. i did not like the style at all.

Zappos service fabulous. Match easy on and off. A bit uncomfortable in the soles. Not as good as memory foam in much cheaper shoes. Soles are super slippery.
