Nice, but not perfect - For my tough-to-fit feet (short and wide), the Keen Venice H2 sandals are a blessing. They serve the all-around purpose of a comfortable performance sandal and go with nearly everything. These have replaced my sneakers for everyday wear during the summer, eliminating the need for socks and laces. And, they can get wet. There are a couple of drawbacks. The shoes feel good when they go on, but on my longer walks I have been getting blisters. I hope this tendency will lessen as I break in the shoes... or rather, my feet. The other questionable characteristic is the closed toe, which I really like because it hides and protects my little toes better than most sandals. But I've found that when gravel or bits of grass do find their way into the shoe, it is much harder to shake the offenders out, due to the closed toe. I often have to stop and actually remove the shoe to brush out painful debris. There is a trade-off to this design. Finally, I've found that the sandals in the Keen line all fit very differently. I recommend finding a seller near you to try on the different styles before ordering from Zappos. The Venice H2 fits the shape of my foot very well, but Keen's Newport design didn't work for me at all.

Keen's Venice H2: my best Keen's yet - These are my third pair of Keen's (my fourth if you count the ones my daughter literally walked away with!) I love how they prepare me for anything the day brings, including rain, woods, asphalt, grocery store, or just about anything else. The toe protection gives a great sense of security on uneven terrain. These feel cooler in our Southern heat than the older, strappy model I have, and my feet do not sweat as much in this model's footbed. The fit is perfect for my short fat duck-like feet. I don't know how they would fit someone with long narrow feet, but they adjust easily and well. Arch support is great. There is plenty of cushion for the average person, but I tend to like EXTREME cushion, and these are somewhat lacking in that area for me. My Chaco's are better in that department.

Best sport sandal I have worn - I am quite limited to the types of shoes I can wear...usually it is only Dansko. I am on my feet all day and have had 2 Achilles tendon surgeries. Someone talked me into buying these Keens and I am not sorry one bit! They are comfortable for being on your feet all day but I would have to say that they do not provide enough ankle/Achilles stability for me to walk long, uninterrupted distances. Otherwise I love them and think they provide great ventilation. I followed the recommendations and sized up which I did not think was necessary. I returned the shoes and went with the size I wear for athletic shoes.

Keen Venice H2 - I saw a friend who had this shoe and thought it would be a great shoe for summer hiking. Have worn them several times to work and around town already and they are very comfortable. No break-in woes. The openness of the design keeps my feet from overheating in the warm weather. They will be going to Yosemite with me in a few weeks.

Looking for arch support - Keen's Venice H2 is a comfortable shoe, just the look and style I was looking for. However, I was hoping for more arch support.

I liked these shoes very much until I tried hiking through some muddy areas in them. Absolutely useless shoes when there is mud. My feet just slid around and I could walk only with great difficulty. Around town or just in water they are fine.

Keen Venice H2 - The nice look is what attracted me. Not as bulky as regular keen water sandals. Order a half size larger then you wear in other shoes (I read this in reviews and was glad I did). They are secure, but not for rugged hikes, great for round town. I am taking them to Mexico and Hawaii. Great footbed, feels comfortable, and wait till the compliments start to pour in ... sing the praises of Zappos.com.

These are great shoes. My one enormous problem is that the footbed is synthetic and rubbery . It makes my feet hot and sweaty. I will try and make them work somehow, because the footbed is very supportive.

I was so disappointed that these did not work out, as they are super cute. The back band is not flexible enough to get over my heel easily, so, even after loosening the cords in front, I could not get them on without much tugging. I wish they were adjustable in back like other Keen models.

I have a very high instep, and these could not fit comfortably; I wish there were a bit of stretch. I have other Venice sandals that are a perfect fit, but they are older. It feels as if Keen has started to skimp a bit, and it's just enough to make them unwearable for me.

So cute but avoid them if you have a high instep - I couldn't even get them on, there is no stretch or adjustment in the back. I don't know if going up a ½ size would solve that or not.

I have been wearing the standard Keen sandal for many years now and was excited to try this style. I love the color and the look of them- but they definitely feel smaller and narrower than all my other Keens. I decided to keep them because they look nice with casual summer dresses, but won’t be using them for longer trail walks.

The look of these sandals is SO cute, and if you go a half size up, you'll be just right. (I'm a 9 and the 9.5 was perfect!) Darling style, fabulous support! Thanks as always to Zappos for such wonderful customer service and quick delivery!

These were just slightly too small. Unfortunately, I have previously ordered Whispers in an 11 and that size is waaay to big. So, I'm nervous about trying 11's in this style. Also, they are hot and I don't think they will feel good in the summer. I guess I'm a real leather kind of person, even though I would like to use the synthetics, I need the comfort. As I write this, I am wearing these shoes. They feel okay, but my toes are at the end of the shoe. I think they are going back.

This shoe is sturdy and has a nice fit for my wide foot. It's pretty comfortable, though I notice some tightness across the top. I can also walk in them for a good while with no pain, but if I do go for a long time in them the foot bed starts to feel hard and uncomfortable. In all honesty, it's a well made and good looking shoe, but Crocs are more comfortable and supportive. I would not have expected that considering price...

Really comfortable! And I like how much more "airy" they are. I just wish I liked the colors enough to keep them. Buy a half size up.

Great sandal - runs half size small! I was choosing between a couple of H2 sandal models and the Venice was one of my choices. I liked everything about it, except that it was a half size too small. Also Keens run wide, so keep that in mind as well.

Least offensive of options- I've had real trouble finding a "water" shoe that doesn't look awfully clunky or ugly. These seemed like a good bet, but am returning a pair because they run very short--my toes are at the very end in my normal size, will try a half size larger.

I ordered this shoe to replace a similar one that the dog had damaged. But this shoe is not as comfortable. It came up higher and rubbed my ankles. Very disappointed! I was counting on this type of sandal for light hiking. Had to return it.

I’ve had many Keens in this style but these are miserably unsupportive, three friends say same thing about newer ones, and my feet are still sore from 2 mile walk 3 days ago.

These shoes would have been perfect, if only they didn't run so big. I usually wear a size 5 or 5 1/2, but these shoes were 2 inches too long for me. I would guess they are about 1 1/2 sizes to big. I am puzzled by the multiple reviews that said these shoes run 1/2 size small. I ordered my usual size 5 because I have often found that reviewers think their feet are smaller than they actually are.

I work as a river guide on the Ocoee and got these to wear while rafting. The toe protection is great. That being said, they function much better as a shoe that might rarely get wet, instead of as a river shoe. The soles do not grip wet/slippery rocks, and my feet slide around within the shoe. The strap on top tightens, but once strenuous activity begins, they loosen up a lot. They are extremely comfortable, but they are much better suited for dry locations. I gave them one star over-all because they weren’t good at the specific reason for purchase - river shoe.

Design Flaws - I wanted to like these sandals. They're so pretty. But they had some fatal flaws and I returned them. Most of the problems stem from the raised sides and back, and solid front. You can't see it in the picture but the foot is slightly recessed. Little stones, dirt, twigs, etc would get in the open top but I couldn't shake them out as I do with most other sandals. I had to take them off, dump them out and put them back on. Often. Also, they were hot. The design didn't allow cool air to get into the sole. The sole itself was way too soft. It felt good walking in the house or on a very smooth surface but if I would step on a twig on a trail, the sole bent around it instead of giving me some resistance. As I said, I really wanted to like these sandals, but in the end had to send them back. Soft sole.

These are my favorite Keen sandals! I live in them during the Spring, Summer, and Fall! Super supportive, and they fit my wide foot so well, with a perfect arch support, stability, and grip. LOVE them!!
