This item provided exceptional fit and comfort in a terrific looking shoe typical of New Balance products. Well worth the price. I just about live in mine.

Husband wears these to play pickle ball on courts. Comfortable, good traction and good fit...very nice find.

I purchased it for playing squash and they work very well on that type of court.

I have used the shoes for competitive racquetball 1-2 times per week for 2 years! This pair has lasted twice as long as any other shoe I have ever used on the court. I had to replace the insoles, but the outside still looks to be in decent shape. The stitching all held together. These have some of the best court traction I have found, works well on a slick surface. I feel the shoe is a bit snug, as it should be for a court shoe.

The shoes have been very good for me. They are stable (I have ankle problems) and sure grip when playing racquet ball. Using Zappos, measuring guidelines, the shoe was just right regarding size. The arch support, as with virtually all shoes is lacking. I removed the insole and installed custom insoles.

I did buy the NB CT653 tennis shoe. I was a 1st time buyer Zappos at the time. The NB tennis shoe is the best well built shoe I have ever had in a long time and very true to size. I bought the gum rubber sole for two reason. One I thought was a better preforming shoe and second, I feel for everyday wearing it looks good. In short one of the best all around shoes. Buying them from Zappos, it just doesn't get any better.

This is my 3rd pair of the 653's. They are great for racquetball and that is all I use them for.

I have tried all the Tennis shoes that I can find in a wide size and this is the most comfortable. I play for 2 to 3 hours every other day on a hard public court. These are the only ones that don’t make my feet hurt. The soft rubber soles may wear out faster, but worth it to me. I hope NB keeps these around for a long time. I usually wear a 10, in these I wear a 9.5.

Great shoes for tennis! This is my son's second pair of this style (one kids and now adults). He says they are very comfortable. They hold up well, too. His first pair still look great. I ordered 2 sizes and did end up going with the larger size.

Ping Pong - Great shoe for tennis and ping pong. Finally found a narrow pair of shoes. Would recommend highly.

New Balance Tennis - Sturdy shoe, immediately comfortable. This is my second pair. First pair were amazingly durable. Kind of an all sports shoe. I use mine for tennis, racquetball, general walking around, and occasionally golf.

Perfect Gift for Boyfriend - My boyfriend wears a size 16 so he can't just walk into a shoe store and buy shoes. Terrific tennis shoe - I have been looking for an indoor tennis shoe and found just what I wanted in the New Balance CT653. Zappos was terrific and I got the shoes within a few days.

Skill determined my game, not my shoes! The good fit of a New Balance sneaker is always dependable. There is just the correct amount of room for my toes and I can wear a comfortable sock without concern for pinching. I find that the key to a good shoe is when I finish my sets; I can walk comfortably off the court without blaming my shoes for a loss!

Great choice! My husband asked me to order this second pair of New Balance CT653 shoes when his first pair wore out. Last year, his first pair made him a believer, after several other shoes had proven to be a disappointment. At age 60, he continues to play tennis and racquetball almost daily. And his many years of playing basketball, tennis and racquetball have proved to him the necessity of taking care to use the highest quality athletic equipment. Great Racquetball shoe (gum sole) Great shoe. I had to wear inserts and use moisture wicking socks to avoid blisters in my last two pair (other brands) - not these. No need. Cushioning is great. It works, but don't really know it is there. Worked well even with cotton socks. Great grip. Like the support. It is a tight fit - but snug is good as it doesn't allow for slippage. Lace system is a bit awkward, but it works. Overall, one of the best r-ball shoes I've had. Recommended.

I will be in the position to coment about this my order when I can see how long the shoes lasted to my grand children...I liked the appearence ... it is great!

CTcarguy - I like these better than the usual sport shoes. Good fit, more comfortable, excellent walking shoe. New Balance continues to build very good sport shoes. I need a narrow fit (B) and there are only a few who offer this. New Balance is best fit for me. I also like the heel support in this model and the width in the center-foot area.

NB 653 - I selected the 653's to replace well worn 993's. I must admit saving money factored into my choice, but the 653's are great. I'm not a runner, so I really didn't need the higher priced 993's. I do 30 minutes a day on an elliptical trainer and these shoes are great. Delivery was fantastic--next day--how do they do that? I require a 13-A and the shoe fits great.

ct653 - Comfortable, effective for my sport, durable. On my 2d pair, wore them too much. If you play any indoor court sport, the gum rubber soul is superb.

This shoe fits my very wide(4E)feet great! It is true to size and width. Zappos has been great to do business with, they truly honor their easy to return policy. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS SHOE & ZAPPOS TO EVERYONE WHO WANTS EASY SHOPPING.

Good so far... These shoes seem to be the best tennis shoes I've owned. Comfortable after 2 hours on the court. Everything feels neutral, size, width, fit. If they hang in for the expected amount of time, I'll be satisfied.
