These Spira Classics are the best shoe I have worn! I have been avoiding knee replacement for 4 years, partially due to Spira shoes. Last summer my other knee (the good one) failed me. Now I only wear the Spiras. I have 2 prs of slip-ons (Romeos) and one pair of hi-top hikers as well as the classics. One or the other is on my feet always! I tried Z-Coil shoes. I have a pair of sandals & a pair of boots. Too unstable on uneven ground! These Spiras are ALWAYS stable. One caveat: Some of them develop a squeak. Mostly, I block out the sound. In the city, it would not be noticed. Too much background noise. Here in the country, one hears more. I’ll probably go on buying Spiras every two years or so. This is my 4th pair of classics. Even before I was told I needed knee replacement surgery, I had found the Spiras helped me avoid the pain of being on my feet all day. I also have a neuroma on my other foot. I buy a size larger & install a good insole with a hole cut under the neuroma. These shoes WORK!!! They are leather, so give them a couple days to conform to your foot (break in).

I bought these \r\nSpira Classic leather for my sister-in-law for Christmas. I also own a pair. They give great support and comfort to my feet. I suffer from neuropathy caused by a drug regimen. These Spiras are my most comfortable shoes and allow me to continue my daily walks with my Jack Russell. Happy pup and comfortable mom!

I have ordered from Zappo\'s for several years. I have always been surprised at how fast and competent they are. Only once did I have to return shoes and it was almost a year after I ordered them. Zappo\'s didn\'t have any problem with returning them. It was fast, easy, and convenient. I will order from them before I go to a shoe store.

The Spira shoes are great! I'm a dentist and spend a lot of time on my feet running around the office. I also have a 2 year old standard poodle that gets walked a lot! I've gone through a few pairs of New Balance court shoes and they were fine. The best way to describe the feel of the new Spira shoe is they feel softer to walk and run on. It's not a startling or striking difference in feel that you immediately notice, but they definitely feel much softer on your feet. I'd recommend that any one give them a try.

I have had my shoes for about a month and love them. Will probably buy another pair after the holidays to have on hand when these finally fall apart.

I like them so far. It's cold outside, so when I wear them out walking I like that my feet stay warm. Don't know how that will work out in hot weather a few months from now! Haven't yet adjusted the laces correctly. Too tight on top, and too loose at heel. I'll watch out for holes on the inside at the ankle, as referenced by the prior reviewer. However, since I have high arches and narrow heels, lacing is a problem for me with a B width. Heavier socks help. The sole cushions perfectly. There is no pressure on a callus by my right little toe. The toe box feels roomy to me. I have long toes and there is still space to wiggle! The shoes seem to me to be true to size. It's my feet that aren't! Anyway, I'm going to get a second pair in white to wear in the house since these are now dedicated to outdoor exercise walking. The feel reminds me of a hiking boot, but better because the side doesn't rub on my ankle bone. I'm on my feet a lot on a 50% tile floor and I loved wearing them indoors for two days, before deciding I liked them enough to keep them for that, even if they turned out to not be comfortable for 1 to 2 miles outside (but they are!). They give a sense of security, sure-footedness, warmth and balance. It's possible they may also be rubbing on my right little toe; don't know yet. Definitely give a springy feet feeling; at first I felt like a prancing horse! Zappos is great. Can't beat the price, availability, no shipping both ways, and fast delivery. I love Zappos!

Spira Classic Leather - Shoe is comfortable and durable. It fits well and offers good support. I use these every day - hiking, biking, or walking. This is my 2nd pair & I would buy again.

Great Shoe! I saw this shoe advertised in a Footsmart catalogue and decided to check them out on Zappos.com. I was interested in getting a sneaker that had the spring concept in a wide width. After reading the reviews, I ordered it. As usual, I received my order the next day. I am a teacher so I am on my feet all day! These shoes were comfortable with no break-in time. Even though they are leather, they are light and flexible. I will definitely order another pair. P.S. I have no comment on the arch support because I wear orthotics which felt comfortable.

Great walker - This shoe is true to size and good arch support. Although it is great for walking, don't expect to use it for lateral support as in cross training, or tennis; it is not made for these. I have a ten year old knee injury, with excess play in my knee, also resulting in pro=nation of my foot. This maintains the appropriate support and for my foot while relieving any pounding on my knee as I walk. I like it so much for this; I may order a white pair for summer.

Spira's are great!! These are so comfortable and stability is unmatched. Definitely worth the money!

Foot comfort at last - I am a busy Washington DC tour guide and spend many hours each day working day on my feet. The Spira shoes I bought were recommended by a colleague who was also tired of having very sore feet at day's end...I was skeptical but ordered the shoes. They are wonderful. Bouncy, neat, professional looking...with support. I will re-order well before this pair starts to break down.

Guide says great walking shoe - Walking all day as a guide in DC challenges my feet to find comfort and the Spira shoes have done that. After 10 to 14 hours of working, my feet are still okay. Love those springs! THANKS.

Wow! Okay, so they aren't gorgeous. However, if you have any foot problems at all, seriously consider these. I have been suffering with plantar fasciitis for 6 months. I spent a 2 holiday in Atlantic Canada hobbled and miserable. I saw a podiatrist, an acupuncturist, a physical therapist to no avail. Drugs, massage, shots, various orthotics and shoes, a night brace - nothing worked! Two things DID work, though. Doing twice daily stretching - lean against a wall and place offending foot back and flat on the floor. Look online if you can't picture it. 2nd thing was these shoes. Seriously - do yourself a favor and buy them.
