Longest Running, Best Shoe Ever!! Been wearing this Traditional Handsewn Classic Timberland shoe 20+ years. On my third pair, by choice. The first & second pairs still had plenty of life left. Thick, double layer leather makes up the entire upper. Even the sole of the insides is plush, top quality leather. Don’t be deceived by the thick, durable look of both upper & sole. Break them in a couple of weeks and they will fit & feel like a slipper. I wear them for most everything. You just can’t kill the shoe. Do NOT be scared off by the price as these shoes are worth every cent & more. Timberland, do NOT change a thing and don’t ever stop making this shoe. Just look at all these reviews!... Zappos continues to amaze me. I ordered these yesterday at 9:45pm. They are now in my house at 7:00pm today. No tax, no shipping charges. Beyond impressive.

Top quality. Sharp, clean, design. Excellent workmanship, typical of Timberland. Will be good in winter...traction. Good leathers, good sole. Easy slip on, with stiff back and rolled leather collar. Very comfortable.

These are great shoes for all purposes. They replaced a pair I had worn out, which also replaced a pair I wore out. Only 3 stars for style, because they are not bought for style.

My wife got a pair of these and they look so hot in a small size. The treads look so aggressive on them. Like some of the early reviewers she loves the treads and will stomp through anything in her way, mud, bugs, dropped food (a favorite!), you name it. If it is big enough it ends up with her Timberland track on it, which she thinks is pretty hot. The crepe sole also tracks forever, so if she walks in a puddle or through something on the floor of a store, they leave marks for a long time.

Great shoe! My husband only wears these shoes. He does a lot of walking on different terrains for his job and these are the only shoes that can go from the office into the field and back again. I have tried to get him to wear other shoes but these are the only ones he'll wear. They hold up so well even though he is very hard on them. I usually replace them every couple of years and that is only because after 2 years of dirt, dust, mud and concrete they start to look a little dull. I never throw them out though, he just wears the old ones on the weekends.

Wonderful shoe. No longer made in America, but you honestly couldn't tell from the workmanship. Great quality, oily leather, nicely padded roll collar, and a gum rubber lug sole -- all Tim signatures. They lace up nice and secure, and feel especially good barefoot (if that's your thing) as the interior is completely lined with no tricky seams to cause chafing. In summer, it's a boat shoe with lift, and in winter it's rugged and country. A great shoe!

Shoes with attitude. I now have my third pair of these excellent brogues - been wearing them since school, I'm now 25 and done with college - mature, confident, they tell the world that you are a man of discretion. Yeah, the sole is aggressive - it says I'm cool but don't mess with me. Wear them with anything, jeans, etc.

Great shoe!! I am loving these shoes. They are very comfortable and fit great. Zappos customer service is incredible! I ordered the shoe yesterday and they added express shipping and lo and behold, the shoes were in my house when I got home from work today. A great shopping experience, in general.

Brilliant! Best shoes around - I got a rare edition pair of black ones, they rock! I've also got the burgundies. Great sole, really dense, from the best quality rubber, with very neat looking uppers. Great for fragile floors like dance floors, etc.

Great Shoe! I have been looking for this shoe for a while. I had a pair some time back and wore them out after 10 years of hard use. This is a great long lasting well made shoe.

Great for moderately inclement weather - Got these shoes to wear to work (where the dress code is on the business casual side). This is my second pair in 5 years...very comfortable and easier to deal with than boots.

Now in BLACK!! I got a pair of these great shoes last week at a shop in Dublin, Ireland - in BLACK! I had been wanting them for a long time. Already have a pair in burgundy. Great shoes, great looking , comfortable, strong. (Squeak when walking, though.)

Stuart McNutt (25) I love these shoes, am thru to my third pair, Got first when 15, am now 25, think they are very cool looking, and go well with blue denims, grey slacks, chinos, whatever. Sole IS aggressive, this is what's good about it - says tough attitude OK!

Very Happy! My second pair and I love them. I have a bad back and find these shoes are great for work. Great for wide width feet. They offer great support and comfort. Highly recommend to anyone with a bad back that is on their feet the majority of the day.

Duvey of Ohio - A most trusted friend. My ultimate favorite shoe. Dress for casual, business casual, or play. Dependable, durable and easy on the eyes. They have been with me on mountains, in the high desert and everywhere in between. As they said out west 100 years ago, these are the best there was.

Unbelievable Shoe! Zappos, be sure to relay all of the reviews on this classic Timberland shoe to Timberland informing them NEVER to stop making it and not to change it AT ALL. I’ve worn this shoe for about 20 years now, on my third pair. You simply cannot destroy or wear this shoe out. Don’t be fooled, its looks are VERY deceiving. It is very tough, thick leather, even on the inside. Yet, it is THE most comfortable Timberland made and far more comfortable than other brands. It is also much lighter in weight than it appears to be. Not much break in needed, but do give it maybe 30 days of wear. It will be your favorite shoe for sure! The burgundy color goes with everything. You can wear it with jeans, casual Dockers/business casual. Can’t say enough about this shoe. It’s worth every cent of what appears to be a high price. It will out last all other shoes by far...by years!

A Cult Shoe! There simply is no better! Like the stories of many other owners of these traditional boat shoes/ Lugs- my wearing of these has spanned over a decade so far, with no end in sight! (I've been wearing them since some hand-me-downs from my brother when I was 13!) No other company has come close to the durability, comfort, or LOOK of these shoes. Sure, the newer sole design does pick up rocks and mud- but why not grab some of the actual hiking-timberlands for that in addition. Just get some of these, and you will live in the them. I've just retired a pair after nearly five years wear- and that was only because I had worn the soles down. The seams all were perfect. The leather was perfect. The laces hadn't broken! Perfect for summer, perfect for winter, and everything in between! If you don't understand why I would say this about a shoe- GET A PAIR! You won't go back. You won't regret it. Sure these are more expensive than other brands- but the number of years you get out of them makes it a no-brainer! Get some and understand why. Keep up the good work Timberland!

The comfort shoe- This shoe has been my all time favorite for 12 years running. This and the original Stan Smith are my shoes of choice.

Like everyone I was Amazed - This is one great shoe but do yourself a favor break them in before wearing without socks, unlike the other Timberland boat shoes these pups needs a bit more break in time. My lesson was learned the hard way with several nice sized blisters and hot spots miles from moleskin. My own fault but it should be noted. Leather seems to be quite a bit more industrial duty than the boat shoes once broken they however can be an everyday shoe.

Smashing - Fantastic. I usually wear kickers in this style but they discontinued this style. Now, I moved on to these. They're really comfortable. Cool for clubbing. They feel great all the time, especially when I slip them on after a hard days work to chill out in. My pair are nealy a year old and still have an amazing shine. 'Look great with jeans and trousers. I hope they're never discontinued. Totally agree with Jason Lynch. -LOL
