Timberland PRO's Direct Attach 6" Steel Toe - I needed a new pair of workboots intended for all-round use from yardwork, snowblowing and to construction. To that end I needed a pair that is waterproof (very important for me), has some insulation (for snowblowing), and steel toe (for peace of mind). My previous workboots (a CAT) had all that and I wanted the new boots to have the same features; I found them in this one. This pair is comfortable, very protective, and looks great. The lace glides easily through eyelets, making it easy for the feet to slip in and out of the boots. The inside lining (with Thinsulate) is very comfortable and hugs your feet and ankles. Cushioning and arch support is excellent. The drawback to this boot is the weight - it is heavy. Also, I do not recommend this pair for those who intend to climb onto high places or areas with many tripping hazards - the entire sole dimension, with an already thick outsole, is deceptively thick and one can misjudge when stepping over objects. If you are not as inclined as I am on feet comfort and protection during work, there are boots I know that will fulfill that criteria (i.e. CAT Luge - very light and comfortable, but less protection) This boot suits my intended use and I am happy with the purchase, not to mention Zappos' excellent customer support and return policy.

I bought the same pair of boots 2 years ago that are still in great shape even after heavy daily use. Great boots that last from an awesome company that upgraded my order to 2 day shipping for free so i had them ready for the work week.

Great boots!!!! I bought these particular boots as a motorcycle boot. Out of the box they were very comfortable. They are true to size. I ordered a 9 and they fit like a 9. Very rugged construction like all the "Pro Series" Timberland boots I've bought. I have one pair that has been worn daily for 2 years in a warehouse setting and they are still going strong!

Reviewed at Timberland
Timberland lost someone that would have been a customer for life. Until last week I swore by Timberland Pro's. No more, never again. I've had 4 pairs of their boots over the last 16+ years that I literally wore *every* single day, all day, in all conditions, and I recommended them to everyone. I would have been happy buying and wearing them for the rest of my days. My last pair finally wore out and I ordered a replacement with no hesitation. It's T-Pro and my size, no brainer, right? WRONG! What I got and what I found in the stores was total garbage compared to what I used to get. What happened?? They have obviously sold out. Wish I had bought 10 pair instead of just the two I did last time when they used to make a quality product (I had a feeling that nothing good would last). What a complete disappointment. I will do my best to steer people away from their products from now on (but I'm pretty sure people will figure it out for themselves soon enough anyway) :( :( :( :( With regrets, have to say Bye bye, Timberland Pro. Finding a new brand now...

Repeat customer - I was hoping to get the exact same kind as before, but they didn't seem to have the same titanium toe version. That shoe had hooks for the top three laces (which seemed like a hassle at the start, but I got used to and work better than all eyelets) and may have been a touch softer and more comfortable. I work them hard at my industrial job and it seemed the soles were wearing out after 8 months. These new ones are breaking in after about 10 days and I bet they will be like my old pair which really does compare to comfortable tennis shoes.

Excellent Boot!!! This is an excellent boot - my husband works outdoors mostly and he said this boot kept his feet warm, dry and comfortable even after a 14 hour work day!

Comfy boot -- this is my second pair. I don't actually wear these on a construction site -- I'm an academic, and I occasionally do research fieldwork that requires steel-toed boots, but these are so comfortable that I tend to wear them to the office, too. They're great -- comfortable, rugged, waterproof, and they can be dressed-up before they get too scuffed.

Very good work boot. This boot is very comfortable to work in. Also very light for a steel toe shoe. This is my second pair and I am extremely happy with them as well as the fast service of Zappos.

Take a lot of abuse, on second pair and will buy it again! Now on my second pair, love them, will buy another pair. The first pair is still waterproof and has taken a lot of abuse. I wore them every day for over a year and the leather over the toe has not wore out and the soles have not come apart like I have experienced with other boots. I work construction with concrete & steel at muddy sites and do a lot of trekking through the woods for work and recreation. My feet stay warm and dry and my toes are not cramped. They also have good arch support for my tender footsies. The only times my feet have been wet with them is wading through water deeper than the boot is high. Get a pair of slippers so your wife doesn’t get mad at you for wearing your muddy Timberlands in the house.

Happy Customer - I ordered these boots for my husband who is in commercial construction. He loves them. Said they were very comfortable the first time he wore them and didn't need any time to break them in.

Solid Work Boot - As a landscaper I am hard on my boots. The Timberland Pro's are comfortable and waterproof. My only complaint is that the steel toe box is a little narrow (I wear a 15W). Otherwise, these are great boots that can stand up to all the abuse I and Mother Nature can throw at them. Also, these boots are a great deal-- with quality and workmanship comparable to higher-priced Red Wings.

Sturdy, Comfortable, Good Looks- This is the second pair of Timberland pro directs I have had... In my line of working, delivering food for a food distributor, driving tractor-trailer, and in and out of the tractor and trailer up to 20 times per day, these boots give me the comfort and support I need to work safely.

Great Boots - I was told that this boot was discontinued and was devastated. I use these for work all the time. When I found them on the zappos.com website, I was extatic. I ordered them and the next day, they were on my front step.

Performed well under trying conditions! I used these boots briefly as a contractor in Iraq. They were great once broken in. My main complaint is that the steel toes make it difficult to go through airport security. Zappos was also extremely supportive in dealing with the challenges involved in shipping products to APO addresses. I cannot rate their support and customer service highly enough.

5 years - great boot - I have had these boots for 5 years now and they have been through tough conditions. I mainly use them for when I ride my motorcycle in the rain but they work for paintball or working around the yard. Waterproofing is perfect, it has never let water in and that is not an easy feat at 70mph for three hours in a downpour. I have crashed twice and the steel toe did it's job saving my toes after my leg was caught under the bike. Sole still has plenty of grip after about 80,000 miles and still grips when I need it, even at the oily tool booth.

A great boot - I bought these for my son who has a large, wide foot. He is very pleased at how comfortable they are. His only disappointment is that he wanted the dark boots and the color is already coming off the toes and heels.
