Chose these over All Stars. Glad I did. These are so comfortable. They fit great, look great, feel great. Have yet to test them out on the baseball field or through town running from The Beast.

I had pairs of Converse for years, but after learning PF Flyers were not only still being made, but had better features than Converse, I had to check them out. I bought the Sandlot Hi Re-Issue last year, and they are way more comfortable and sturdy than Converse. Only way I'd buy another pair of Converse is if they were on sale and steeply discounted. Otherwise, my money will be spent on the Flyer's. The canvas is thicker, the sole is a bit thicker, and I like the arch insert and LOVE the texture on the toe box area. It looks bad-ass. I also like that the logo is rubber (not some thin glued-on thing) and actually on the outside. I usually don't like logos on my clothing, but with these shoes, I don't mind because they're so awesome. They're the same price as Converse, so it now doesn't make sense to me why anyone would buy a pair of Converse. As far as the fit, I decided to go a size up after reading the reviews about them. I wore a 10.5 in Converse, but got an 11 in these. After testing them in my apartment, I felt that size was perfect. And I rated the arch support as excellent because, for this type of shoe, they really do feel good. But if you're planning on jogging or something in these, that might not be the case. (But why would you be jogging in them, anyway?) The only issue I've had with these is that the arch insert thing squeaks a bit when it rubs against my socks. However, it's only noticeable when I'm, say, walking down a quiet hallway in my apartment building. In conclusion, if you want a pair of hi-tops or lo-tops, get some Flyers.

I love these shoes. They're like Converse, but better. I bought some really nice insoles for them, but it wasn't very necessary. They're well built, thick souled, and look awesome. And, nobody has them, so you'll be a real trend setter.

Comfortable Canvas - I love these shoes. The look. The feel. It's an "Old School" shoe, and I'm into that. I'm also into Converse Chuck Taylor's. So here is a word of advice. What ever size you wear in "Chuck's", if you want a pair of these babies, get the next full size. The two different color lines above the sole attract the eyes attention. With out the lines it would be a dull canvas shoe. I would definitely recommend to anyone to buy a pair. I own four. Of course different colors. :)

I got these as a Christmas gift for my husband. He loves them. He says they do stretch out a bit so be careful not to get them too big to begin with. And the grey color is great, it's very neutral, but doesn't look dirty easily. He says they are also really comfortable, but not real warm for the winters here in Ohio.

Love the PF Flyers. I ordered the shoes 1/2 size bigger and they fit my son great. Ordering was quick and easy and shipping was free and the best thing was they arrived in time for Christmas. Thank you so much.

If you like your Converse sneakers, you will love these shoes. They are the Cadillac of canvas sneakers. The sole is so thick and cushy.

These sneakers look great and carry a nostalgic cachet that, perhaps, can be appreciated only by those of the early to mid Boomer generation (PF Flyers...wow!). The comfort level, however, could be better. It feels as if there's very little padding between the sidewalk and my feet, despite the insole.

These shoes are all time classics, I would recommend them to anyone wanting to buy classic shoes and thinking about Vans or Converse. Get these! They are great all around shoes and the style is all ways in fashion. I love them!

These are great shoes! They are much better than Chuck T's in every way. They are really comfortable for what they are and they fit great. If you are thinking of getting these instead of Chucks do it. You won't regret it. I am very pleased with the shipping from Zappos as well. I ordered on Friday and received them on Tuesday. And I am in Alaska!

I definitely had to have these shoe after growing up watching "The Sandlot" so many times. They are very awesome shoes, I have gotten a lot of compliments and "hey I loved the Sandlot!" Anyway besides that, they feel great and are pretty comfortable and durable. My pair lasted about three years wearing them to school all day then going for hikes in the woods to riding bikes. The canvas does rip from the rubber like all other canvas shoes do after some time. but even when it does it just adds to the look. I give them high respect because they are not just a style or a trend, they are just the coolest shoe around. They let you run faster, and jump higher.

Love the shoe and it arrived a day early than expected...kudos to Zappos for that. Overall the shoe is great, but wish I seen the low tops first before I purchased the high tops, or mids! Comfortable shoe!

I bought these bad boys a few weeks ago. Thinking I picked the right size shoe but didn't. Called them up and sent me the size I needed the next day. I was so impressed by their service and how certius they were. That now I will be buying all my shoes from Zappo's. I would recommend them to anyone.

I will never buy Chuck Taylors again! Immediately when I saw these shoes I thought they looked great. After receiving them and wearing them I was so happy with the purchase. I got tons of comments on how great they look. I wore a pair of Converse one day after wearing these and the difference in the cushion and comfort was night and day. Chuck Taylors are cool and classic, but these shoes looks just as good if not better, and feel 100 times better on the feet. I ordered these half a size smaller than my Chuck Taylor All-Stars (which is actually my regular shoes size). These shoes do not run big or small. They just fit well from the first wear.

We had to send some shoes back that we received as a gift. It was so easy! They said it was no problem. We didn't even have to pay shipping. We received the right size in three days! After that, I ordered more shoes for the rest of the family. Excellent customer service! The PF Flyers not only look good, but they are really comfortable. We love Zappos!

I bought these for my boyfriend as a birthday present (he is a huge fan of the movie Sandlot). Shipping was fast, the size was accurate, and I am completely satisfied with my purchase. A comfortable, sturdy shoe.

I got these shoes and have been wearing them for two solid months. They wear very well and are still as comfortable as they were right out of the box. The Sandlot is my personal favorite. They are my first all black shoe, and let's just say I'm never going back. Zappos, as always, A+.

I love the shoe and how it looks. I just have a flat foot and it has too much arch support for me because it's the "Archival Re-Issue." Great product though.

I am not a fan of shoes that make one's feet look too big. As these shoes are quite narrow, the vertical ribs on the toe area help reduce the long appearance of the shoe. These vertical elements reduce a horizontal overload. The toe is a bit more rounded compared to Converse Chucks, as well as flat on the top of the toe cap. The metal grommets are the same color as the lace/canvas upper. This is a nice touch. The laces are a bit too long, and I ended up getting my own that were the appropriate length. However, the lace area is its own separate piece of fabric sewn into the rest of the upper. This provides a nice visual appeal and increased sturdiness. The toe cap is smaller than on a Converse Chuck Taylor, thus these do not make your foot look so long. The rubber side wall is a bit taller than on a Converse Chuck Taylor. I like the rubber PF logo on the outside ankle. I was worried the black on black would be too monochromatic, but the canvas is darker than the rubber sidewall. The sidewall appears more dark charcoal gray than black. They have a nice green PF logo on the back heel with a nice contrast gray stripe going up the back. The cushioned foot bed was surprising. I am used to canvas shoes having a bare minimum of cushioning. These feel like they have pillows in the inner sole. While narrow shoes, they fit true to size. I am a 10 in most shoes and found that a 10 worked for me with PF Flyers. The tongue does slip and ends up on the side of the shoe. Converse Chucks are so overdone, and while iconic, they are so cliche. Also, my dad, who grew up in the 50's and 60's tells me that most people wore PF Flyers. So, if you want true retro shoes and nice fashion piece that does not feel overplayed, then PF Flyers are for you. I have received a number of compliments from real sneaker aficionados. These shoes beat Converse hands down.

First off, let me say this. I bought two pairs of shoes for my son for Christmas, which turned out to be the wrong size (my fault, not Zappos). When they didn't have the same shoes in his correct size, he chose two more pair, the PF Flyers and a pair of Sperry's Topsiders. All I can tell you is, Zappos is the greatest retailer on earth. They went above and beyond to get the replacement shoes to my son 24 hours later, at no additional expense to me. If every company ran itself like Zappos, this country would be flourishing. I've been a Zappos customer for 10 years, and they never, ever disappoint. Oh, my son loves his shoes as well. Thank you Zappos, don't ever change.

What can I say? Want to look like you know what "cool" is, well these shoes are it. As for Zappos -- couldn't be better. The arrival time in December even surprised me as they were quicker than they said. I would shop here again and again.

My teenage son wanted these shoes for Christmas, I had only heard of PF Flyers from the movie Sand Lot. Shipping time was super fast and the quality of the shoe is great, my son said they are comfortable. He has got lots of compliments on them. I think these are much better quality then Converse Going to purchase another paid in a different color.
