Good heavy boot, the drawstring at the top gives extra protection, but it does run big. I would suggest ordering a half size smaller than your normal shoe size.

These boots are waterproof - I used my boots recently during a road trip where I was watching a Bald Eagle perched on an island. I was able to get closer to the Eagle by having these boots on (I could walk into the ocean shore a little further). The boots are little on the heavy side, something I wasn't expecting.

I heeded the advice of some of the other reviewers and ordered one size smaller (9-D) than my 'normal' size. I am glad that I did, because even at one size smaller, these boots are still a bit roomy; however, this issue will be rectified with the use of thick heavy-duty Heat Holders brand socks. I usually wear a size 10-D (Medium) Ugg 'Beacon' boot which fit perfectly and I do wear these the majority of the time...since I do reside at high altitude/colder climate. By the way, I would've ordered the Kamik: Hunter, because I'm more familiar with the Kamik brand and I also prefer an all black boot; however, the size I needed (9-D) was and is still not available. Since shoe/boot size usually seems to differ from maker to maker and style to style, I have to be very careful whenever making online shoe/boot purchases. I have discovered, however, that certain winter-type boots do have a tendency of running a bit large...evidently to account for the layering of socks. Unfortunately, the nearest non-discount department stores and high-end shoe stores are located about two hours away from where I reside, so trying a pair on beforehand was not an option. Although it did snow here today and I will be using these for snow shoveling, I also bought them for when its finally time to clear my large property of weeds. The attached gaiters should ensure that the dirt, dust, rocks, and weeds, as well as snow remain outside the boot; however, I will purchase some cord toggles...since they're quicker and easier to adjust whilst wearing gloves and tying/untying the gaiters' laces will become a bit tough if and when they do become wet. Like I had said, these boots are roomy (both in length and in width) and I also recommend ordering at least one size smaller than your 'normal' size...depending upon the type of socks you'd be wearing. These rubber boots are dark green with black soles and a black nylon gaiter (as pictured) and the weight seems moderate - heavier than my non-rubber Ugg and Kamik boots, but heavy enough to provide the ankle support and warmth which I require. I will also be using the provided interior felt liners to help the boots fit better, feel warmer, as well as provide me with some additional ankle support. As usual, Zappos speed-o-light shipping ensured that I received them quickly; i.e., I ordered these boots very late Wednesday night and they arrived at my home (via UPS Ground) this (Friday) morning. I received excellent Zappos customer service as usual; thus, why all of my online shoe/boot purchases are done via Zappos.com. Once again, thanks guys and please keep up the great work...cheers.

These are great boots so far. They are relatively light yet durable are warm. I wear size 12 shoes and had to order a 10 to get a pair that fit. Honestly I could probably use a 9.

These boots are completely waterproof and very warm, but they are enormous (order a full size smaller than you usually wear) and very heavy. They are inexpensive compared to other boots, and they do the job (once you get the right size), so they were the right purchase for my son, who is still growing, but for myself I would be willing to spend more money for a boot that allowed easier mobility.

I didn't like these boots. They were very heavy, and the size fitting was awful. Size 7 was larger than size 8? I returned both boots (size 7 & 8) and brought Kamik boots instead.

I normally wear an 11.5 or 12, but had to order a 13. However, these are awesome winter boots. Super warm and water tight. I've always been thankful I'm wearing them when in heavy snow or heavy rain.

Got these boots for my husband for Christmas. They are great so far. He usually wears Size 10. Ordered Size 9. He says a little bulky but fine. Good value.

I wear 6E shoes and with regular socks these boots fit me. I used them for a few days of ice fishing and they were warmer than I expected in moderate winter temps (20s and 30s). I plan to put a felt insole in them to keep me just a bit farther off the frozen ground, and hope that doesn't snug them up so much that my feet get cold. I had good traction in these boots, and they were surprisingly comfortable, though I used them mostly on the flat surface of a frozen lake. I went for a 3 mile walk on the ice one day and had no complaints about comfort.

I moved to the mountains and was looking for a good pair of waterproof boots as winter in October of 2010 was coming on read reviews of different types of snow boots and settled on ordering a pair Baffin Hunter boots SKU: #7176881. They arrived in two days after I placed the order with Zappos. Good thing too as on November 17th it started to snow and it has set all records to date with deep snow on the ground here for months. That's over 100 inches and more on the way at this writing. Bottom line, these boots have served me well and me feet do not get cold and no leaks at all. I spend almost everyday out side all day working in the snow at least 5 hours a day. If you have the need for waterproof hard working snow boots then these are the ones you are looking for. I will be ordering them again if they are on the market next time I need what I thank is the best deal around. I paid less for mine and hope they will be still for sale by the time these finely wear out, but I do not see them degrading after all this time.

The boots are just great for the snow. They felt almost 2 sizes larger than marked, but after I found the right size I was more than happy with the boots. Really! After all the snow, these boots are just incredible. Your feet will be dry and warm for hours.

These boots are warm, very well-made, but extremely large and not true-to-size at all. I ordered an 8 for my son who takes a 7.5 - and they are a little big for my husband, who takes a size 9! Order down at least one size, and you'll have a sturdy, warm and totally awesome snow-shoveling boot.

Just what I wanted! I can slip into them with bare feet in the morning to walk the dog, or use socks and wrap my jeans into them to clear the snow. Either way my feet are comfortable, dry, and warm! Great traction and flexibility.

My boyfriend loves them. He usually takes an 11 1/2 in a shoe and I tried the 11 in the boot. I had to exchange them for a 12. Maybe they run a little small? They keep him dry and warm in all the snow we have had.

These boots were very impressive right out of the box. The only way your feet will be wet is if snow or water gets in the top. The only problem with them is that they are hard to tie at the top, but other than that, they are great. They do have a steel toe and are therefore heavier than your normal boot. These are very warm and well insulated.

Great pair of boots. Another review said they run half a size big. I usually wear 10.5 for everything, and they only had 10. I got them and they fit perfectly. They are really nicely insulated, and I can’t wait to try them out in the snow.

These boots are great footwear for snow and cold, wet conditions. My feet are warm and very comfortable on the coldest days when I'm wearing my Baffin Hunters. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.

Bought these boots last spring to use on the farm and my son wore them a couple times and the rubber split on the side.

Probably the fourth pair of these I have owned. The first 3 were unbranded and sold somewhere else. This pair is a little lighter and the rubber formula seems to be different (for the better). The liner is also different and the only problem I find there, is when you put them on, you have to make sure you hold onto the liner to keep it from sliding down into the boot. They are large for the size indicated.

These boots ran true to size, and my son says they are very warm in addition to being water proof. That's been a big plus during the cold, rainy winter we've had so far. He also tells me they're quite comfortable despite being "pretty heavy." If someone you know needs solid, water-proof footwear and doesn't mind trudging around with leg weights, these are the boots for you!
