Great Boots - The Boots are slightly larger than my size. I added some inner soles and they fit great. They are pretty comfortable for boots.

I initially bought a Frye harness boot which turned out way too narrow for my foot. I exchanged them for these Chippewas in EE wide and never looked back. Awesome boots. Beautiful leather, if you like the smell of quality leather you will not be disappointed here. I didn't like the straps and so I cut them off. They are even more comfortable without the straps. I was unsure whether to cut the straps off because I do like the harness, but I wanted more subdued styling, so I am happy with my decision to remove them. I would do it again. Buy some good polish and shine these to reveal their richness. The Vibram sole provides great traction and they do not leave black marks on your kitchen floor (unlike the Frye harness). I am a solid shoe size 11 and could have probably used a 10.5 in these but I got the 11 EE wide. I put in two comfort insoles (the ones without contours) in each boot and they fit great now. If I were to do it again I would probably try the 10.5, but I've no complaints with the 11. Customer service was a breeze through the exchange process. Thank you Zappos.

This is hands-down the best motorcycle harness boot I've ever had. I've tried Dingo, Justin, Durango, and even expensive Frye boots (huge disappointment on the Frye boots) and these Chippawau are the best. Order half size smaller than usual and put in cheap Dr. Scholls and you have the ultimate boot. Great non-marking sole with super traction. Thick leather that holds itself up unlike cheaper leather harness boots that slouch easily. Perfect boot.

First of all I have to say I have never had service like this ever. I ordered these boots from Zappos.com last night around 9pm they were at my door the next morning around 11 am. Now for the boots, they look great, tried them on, and found that they were just a bit larger about a 1/2 size than my normal size of 10. They do not come with a cushion insole so by the time I added my insole they were perfect. I like the fact that I was able to add my own insole. The quality looks to be very high, the durability, well time will tell but by the way they’re made they should last for many years. I would highly recommend Zappos and these boots.

Well, Zappos has done it again. As a VIP member, I had no doubt about Zappos service. And as for this boot, it is very comfortable right out of the box. I followed the other reviews and purchased a half size smaller and it fits like a glove. I’ve got them on right now and might even sleep in them. I normally wear a size 11 and got the 10.5. I also bought some Durangos from Zappos a couple of years ago and I still like them, but these Chippewas will be my riding boot for sure. Thanks Zappos!

This is my second purchase from Zappos.com and have been extremely pleased with both. These boots fit like a glove right out of the box, just as my first pair did that I bought 6 years ago.

Great boot - I bought a pair of these 2 years ago and have worn them on several long motorcycle trips. Very comfortable, they wear very well, they look good, and they are made in the USA. Can't ask for much more.

These boots are gorgeous and very comfortable. They look very elegant with pants or skirt/dress but I don't think that I'll wear them in the rain.

Holy Good God! YES!!! so I needed some nice looking and functional boots to ride the bike with- had hiking boots and the heel was all wrong for the brake and shifter- read endlessly on Harley and Frye and then found these babies- they are amazing- made in USA- more important that most think- then handmade! Come on! So everyone was right on the BUY ONE HALF SIZE DOWN!!! I am a strong 11 in everything and got a 10.5 they are perfect with even a bit of room! And god the looks- buy these as an investment and they will please you!

Fit is good, quality is great. Two problems, however. Boot is not waterproof (not advertised to be) which is a problem on cross country trips, and the boot has a large circumference at the top of the shaft making my jeans ride up and not relax over the boot.

Chippewa Harness Boots - These are the best boots you can buy, there are no better made boots out there! I had these boots years ago, and they lasted over five years. They are worth every penny! Buy these, and you'll be glad you did!

Top Notch - The quality and appearance of this boot is outstanding. I normally wear size 8 but based on reviews of others, I tried both a 7.5 and 8. The 8 was too loose with regular socks but fit ok with heavy boot socks. I kept the 7.5 which seemed a little tight at first but have loosened up quite a bit. Taking the sole liner out lets me wear them with very thick socks. My bike has pegs so on a tight lean, the higher heels do sometimes scrape if I don't angle my toe down a little. This would not be a problem with floorboards. The Vibram soles work well on slick road surfaces. Comparatively, they are far superior to my old Frye boots.

Tough Boot - Looks Great! I really dig this boot! I've worn Docs and combat-style boot for years but wanted to try something different...this seemed like to way to go from the other reviews I read. They were a little stiff to begin with, but after a couple of days of wear, I can see now they will be my favorite boot ever...! You may want to get a size wider than marked though...they will stretch, but it will take time!

I've been riding big bikes for 20 years and am 61 years old. This is the best boot yet. I have a narrow foot and put in an aftermarket insole as I do with most, but the boot is outstanding. I did cut off the harness however. Nicest motorcycle boot I've ever owned. Good for walking during the day also. Maybe a little hot over 100 degrees, but otherwise very nice.

Great boots highly recommended. Great boots, they were instantly comfortable. I tried on some Harness boots in a store and they all seem to run large (for thick socks I hear). It took a little while to get use to riding my motorcycle because of the heels. I usually wear skate shoes (size 9 Etnies) which ended up being an 8 in these boots. My heel lifted a little at first but as the boots softened up front everything fit great. Comparing with the Frye 12R's, the stitching is a little better along the shaft on these and the Vibram sole is great. The leather is thicker and higher quality than the Durango’s. Highly recommended. I expect these to last a long long time.

Great boot - My husband got these boots and he is very happy with them. That is saying quite a bit, since he only buys shoes for himself once every 3 or 4 years! We had a little trouble at first, as the size we ordered was too big, but then we went down a 1/2 size and everything was fine. My husband is also very particular about shoes, so finding a pair he likes is a major accomplishment. It was also a plus for him that these are American made shoes. Zappos is the greatest!! Can't beat their shipping and returns and also their selection!!!

Husbands Boots - I bought these boots for my husband because he wanted black harness boots. I was originally going to by another cheaper brand from somewhere else but after I ordered it I was told it wouldn't ship for 3-4 weeks. So I came to Zappos because I love their super fast shipping. We ordered these boots and they are well worth the extra money. My husband loves them, he says they are the most comfortable shoes that he has. And that's saying a lot because he was hesitant to get boot for fear of discomfort. Well the other brand came weeks later he tried them on just to see what he though because he also wants a brown pair. He says he is going to stay with Chippewa because the other brand could have ruined him on boots. Great durable product, looks awesome with jeans also! He also says the have excellent arch support.

MADE IN THE USA - I wish I had discovered Chippewa boots 25 years ago while still a teenager! I've owned Dingo, Frye, Carolina, Timberland, Justin's, Doc Martins and I truly hope to get many years of foot pampering with these Chippewa boots. No one will be disappointed with the quality. Great job Chippewa!

Wow! I own a short and tall pair of Chippewa engineer boots for summer/winter riding and wanted a harness style boot just for casual wear this fall. I looked around at the other brands and (and reviews) and decided to go with a brand I knew. These boots felt true to size, and are good to go out of the box without any break in. A huge cowboy boot fan, these boots are unusually well cushioned. If you're in the market for harness boots (or any biker style boots) definitely try Chippewa's if you're on the fence and not sure what to choose. It's really tough to describe how well these boots are made.

Incredible comfort and QUALITY, felt narrow to me - Hi I just ordered these since I owned a pair of disappointing FRYE boots of the same style. When I got the Frye’s about a year ago (not from heavenly Zappos) I thought they seemed stiff and shoddy, little string dangling off seam, etc, not what you expect for this price. These are fantastic; they just came so I walked around the house to make sure the fit is good first. The leather feels somehow more solid and more supple, the arch support is very apparent, only thing is both shoes feel really snug over the instep, which is to be expected with the style and doesn't feel too tight, but they will take some breaking in since they are just on the side of more narrow than expected. Just like a couple people said, they feel long (I normally wear an 8.5 or 9). Overall I really recommend them, especially over the Frye motorcycle boot...

Only others I wear are New Balance and Dansko
