Excellent boots. Hard to find them in the 4E width that are really that wide.

comfort for the big big man - Learning how to walk after two years in the hospital, going through three comos which left me paralyzed! I knew after physical therapy,I needed to have the best footing I could get, especially weighing 450 pounds. Well this (Wolvernine Spencer) boots are very comfortable and supportive, in the begining they were stiff and rubbed uncomfortable around my ankles, but it did not take long at all to break in. This is my ninth pair of shoes I've purchased from (ZAPPOS)six were for me and three were presents To friends. Twice I have returnd shoes only because they did not fit right, without any hassle. They are good boots.

Shoes fit well. They are heavier than I was expecting but they will work for me. I can not comment on arch support as I use orthotics

Nice shoe just got a size too big so it was enormous on my feet, returned and got a size lower and love the customer support system they got for the dsp amazon drivers

I wear a size a 4E and they are NOT easy to find. These shoes fit perfectly and are comfortable.

The 4 E was really only 1E.

NICE BOOT! I purchased these for my husband and he loves them. He said they are very comfortable and he feels like he has good balance in them. Nice boot!

Right out of the box they feel a little snug width wise, doesnt feel like a 4E, maybe a 3E. Hoping they loosen up a bit since they're leather uppers. I like the heavy duty tread, hoping to be able to wear as both snow boots & hiking boots since I work outdoors. Not sure about being able to wear in snow and cold temps though since they are snug in width - multiple pairs of socks or super thick socks are out of the question. As someone else commented, they are pretty heavy but most boots with super sturdy soles usually are.

Size was spot on and keep my feet warm and dry. Only downsides a little heavy (takes some time to get use to) and getting a bit of ankle rub but put a bandaid in the spot and all good. It's extremely hard for me to find shoes that work and the downsides are so small that I'd buy them again in a heartbeat

The first pair I received had one shoe that was too narrow around the toe section. Zappos took that defective pair back and sent a new great fitting pair free of any charges. Fantastic customer service.

These were an almost but not quite. The tongue is just short enough that the shoe string bow keep coming up and over it. Even a half inch more in length of the tongue would make all the difference.

Welcome to 2005 - I havn't worn a pair of boots that looks anything like these in many, many years. I had been wearing the old fashioned style work boot. These are great as I have a wide foot and need to use an orthotic insert!

Comfortable boot, but NOT water proof.

For being listed as extra wide, they are not, the toe box constricted my toes and gave me pain for 5 days.

I would like to try a size smaller for the shoe fell right off with them doubled laced. But the smallest you have are 8's. Unfortunately I'm going to have to return these and look for a different pair of shoes.
