When I first developed plantar fasciitis someone suggested Danskos. I was so sick of having to wear sneakers all the time that I was willing to take the chance. I ordered the black ones and fell in love! Or rather - my feet fell in love! I can wear these all day w/no pain. I was so excited I ordered the brown ones too. Unfortunately the brown ones don't fit as well even though they are the exact same size. They rub across the balls of my feet and create a burning sensation after a while.

Monika’s are comfy - I purchased my first pair of Dansko - clogs- from a major dept. store. I had to try on 4-5 pairs to find a good fit. Maybe it's luck but these Monika’s fit me perfectly! I teach and am on my feet all day from school to running a home. The support isn't good enough for walking my dog, though. For short walks ok but not for long. I'm a 6 1/2M and the 37s are a perfect length. If I have a problem it's with the lack of support for the heel of the foot which goes a bit side to side when walking; this could be because they are a little wider than Medium on the left foot or, because it is the nature of slides. I'm adapting!

Still one of my favorites - This was one of the first Dansko shoes I purchased several years ago. It has held up very well and is still one of my favorite shoes. I can stand for several hours without my feet hurting or tiring. It has very good arch support.

Monika - My aunt has always raved about Dansko Shoe. She was wearing Monika style and I just had to have a pair. Bought the black looks good with dresses, jeans, crop pants etc. Went shopping for several hours the first day I wore them. No problems- great shoe very comfortable.

I love this sandal. Looks great with capris and jeans. I get compliments when wearing them. Very comfortable. Thought my plantar fasciitis would flare up as it does whenever I wear a sandal, but no problem with this sandal.

Dansko Monica - Since I have to wear a shoe with a nonflexible sole I am always looking for something not too clunky. This shoe is attractive and comfortable. The only problem with comfort is that one of the straps on the left shoe rubs.

Fabulous comfort - I love this shoe! Excellent arch support. A summer version of my favorite Dansko professional clog. These shoes go on my feet when I get out of bed in the morning and I don't take them off until I go to bed at night. I have not had any issues with black dye on my feet, even though I always wear them barefoot. The do run small though, I usually wear a 9 and needed a 41 in this style.

Comfort and good looks all in one - I have had extensive foot surgery and I am totally sold on Dansko shoes. The Monika has given me both comfort and good looks at the same time. I highly recommend these shoes - a must have for your summer wardrobe.

Neat and comfortable - I am a teacher and I spend a lot of time on my feet. These shoes, really sandals, are true to size, comfortable for all day and neat and trim in appearance. They have all the comfort of Dansko enclosed clogs, but are cool for summer.

Dansko Monika - This was the second pair of this style I've purchased, I bought the black ones Spring 2007 and literally wore them every single day until September - I had plantar fasciitis and my foot is completely healed from wearing this wonderful fitting shoe. I ordered the brown one for this summer, but they feel a bit more narrow. I believe they will stretch and will be great, too! They look very good with everything dressy to casual.

The best - This is my second pair of Monikas. The first pair lasted me 8 years and I stand on my feet all week. Of course, they are not suitable for winter, but for 5-6 months of the year, they are great. I had a difficult time finding them in the same color, but thanks to Zappos, I am happy again. Heading to Europe in 2008 and my Danskos will definitely be on my feet. Highly recommend these!

Great clog - I love the Monika. The arch support is great, and this shoe is comfortable from the start. It has enough strapping to securely hold my foot. The Dansko stapled clogs are so great to walk in. I have the professional, Molly, and others. As usual, Zappos had great service. Thank you.

Most Comfortable Sandal Ever!!! I bought these in the Oiled Brown color and wasn't sure about buying this style because you read so many reviews on each style. I have really bad arthritis in both of my ankles and very flat feet. I LOVE wearing wedge sandals but for going on a trip and walking a lot, theres no way those will work. I was looking for a cute sandal that was comfortable and didn't look like an orthopedic shoe. These are great! It took me a couple of days to break them in because the straps rubbed some but after that they were wonderful. They were very supportive and kept my ankles from turning over when walking. I walked all over London in these and they worked great. I just got through buying the black ones also and would love to buy another style if I could find one that was as comfortable. If Dansko keeps making such wonderful sandals, I will never buy another brand and Zappos is the quickest online!

These were my second set of the brown Monika’s. Seems like they can wear out if you wear them day after day after about the second or maybe it has been three years. I also had a blue pair of Monika's and would have loved to have gotten a red pair too. These are comfortable from day one for me so I hope I will always be able to find some. My podiatrist told me if I were to wear shoes that were not the specific ones he'd told me to use that I should use Dansko. And my feet have been totally happy walking quite long distances with even these sandals. Although I try to wear my Dansko clogs if I know it will be a long way.

Still figuring them out - Got these shoes a few weeks ago and have just been wearing them around the house because I'm just not sure yet if they're really comfortable. They're a little stiff, the straps, and it seems like it'll take some breaking in time. I feel the straps at the front along the toes and a bit on the sides, so I'm hesitant to wear them out ‘til I'm sure that they won't rub me wrong. They're a bit on the clunky side, but go well with jeans. The leather seems like it should give, I'm just not sure how much time it'll take just from walking around indoors. Also, I'm a 38 but ordered them in a 39 and it's just right, if not a little snug.

Val - With a very wide size 7 to 7&1/2 foot, I got a size nine (39) because that is what I got over 10 years ago in the same shoe in Boulder. I can't remember if it was this snug then but the leather straps stretched out and over a year it became my most comfortable shoe. And it looks good too.

Happy feet - Wonderful shoe, I own two other colors in the same style. The 38 is a "small 8" though, so of you were a true 8, it may feel a bit small.

DEPENDABLE - I've worn this shoe regularly over the past decade and just bought a new pair - they are sturdy, last a long time, and give me the support I desperately need. Very comfortable, versatile shoe.

Monika is Comfortable and Classy - Monika (like Zappos!) does not disappoint. I was looking to replace my beloved Dansko sandals of 8 years and decided on the Monika model in black. It is a classy looking shoe; little to no break-in time required, with moderate arch support. The oiled leather is easy to keep looking new, but the color does come off on your skin (although I had no trouble washing it off). Highest recommendations.

Great sandal - This is pretty much the stapled clog in sandal form. I am a big fan of the comfort of the clog; therefore I also love this one. The leather on the top is not as soft as I would like initially, but I got over this in a hurry.

This shoe is fantastic – This is my 5th pair of this style Dansko. I am a nurse and started wearing these shoes for comfort during the 12 hour shifts. That was over 12 years ago, now I can’t wear any other shoe. They are the best...

Dansko Monika - Perfect! Sooo... comfortable especially for my flat feet, which are hard to comfortably fit into sandals. I'm a 9 ½ and for some reason I have to go up to a 41 in the stapled clogs - perhaps because of my flat feet. These are cute and I've been complimented on them. I did spray them since I knew the beige would get dirty easily.

Another great Dansko - I love Danskos! I bought 2 pairs of these to wear to work and for overall comfort. I bought one pair in my regular size 40 and they were too small. I have worn them anyway. I bought the second pair in a size 41 and they fit perfectly. So, go up one size for these shoes. I wish they made the black ones with a tan leather insole, so the black wouldn't wear off onto the sole of the foot. I love them anyway and will always wear Danskos.
