They're definitely good for the collectors value, but when it comes to being a good shoe, it's not the best. These shoes are hard on your feet, the soles are tough and you can't change them for better quality store bought insoles. Being a cloth shoe, it gets dirty easily, but is also very well-fitting and loose and comfortable with the cloth. If you're on your feet a lot, you might not like this as much, but other than that, it's a perfectly good shoe.

: D - As far as shoes go I honestly think that this is the best purchase I've ever made! the lyrics across the front were super cool especially since I've never seen any other shoes with that before! They're a perfect color too, it goes with pretty much everything, and doesn't show dirt badly. I've always loved chucks and these shoes have even exceeded my expectations. they really went the extra mile to make these shoes the best they could be! Peace!

Love these shoes! I'm a Converse junkie- I think this is my 9th pair- and these are some of the coolest I've ever seen. You can't really tell from the photos, but on the toe of the shoe it says "Imagine all the people living life in peace" which was a nice surprise when I opened the box. It says to order a 1/2 size smaller for men, but that is true for women as well. I wear a women's 11 but in this shoe a 10 1/2 fits perfectly (and generally Converse run large depending on the fabric. I have 3 pairs made from satin that are a full size smaller)

Back in 70s - At forty something its tough to ware a shoe with no support. It's also tough to see the logo but when we go to beatlefest this month I'm sure everyone will know the logo. I also made the mistake of not ordering a 1/2 size down, you'll need to do that.

I am a major Chucks fan, so I love to look at converse on Zappos, best shoe website, and then I saw the John Lennon converse, best combination ever for me, I love John. The shoes are awesome they are my 6th and favorite pair.

Imagine - My 16 year old daughter has been looking all over for these sneakers and was thrilled to find them on Zappos.com. There are very subtle details that make them even cooler close up. Typical Converse Chuck Taylor as far as fit and finish. Classic, with a peace-loving twist.

Imagine - I recently purchased the John Lennon "Imagine" Converse All-Stars. They were all I expected them to be. There was a slight flaw with the first pair I received, but your people immediately replaced that pair and made returning the first pair a snap. Thank you!

Give these a chance.... If you are a John Lennon fan these shoes are the coolest thing around. Classic Chucks for a classic legend. We have bought 2 pairs so far and will just keep on buying them as long as they are available. I was worried about buying an ankle high sneaker, I prefer the regular height, but John Lennon sitting on top of the world would not be able to be put on display. These are just very cool sneakers...We love them.

Nostalgia +++you can return to the past in this shoe - I got this shoe for my son, he is a music collector, now he can make this shoe a reminder of what he loves to do. Did I mention he couldn't believe finding a shoe like this? He loves it.

Chuck Taylors with a message - These are just as comfortable as any Chucks, but they have a nice old hippie look, too. Kind of pricey at $60, but worth it.

John Lennon Chucks... Does it get any better? Come on now folks... put a music legend and the most comfortable shoes out there together and you've got one beautiful thing. These shoes are the most awsome thing ever to grace feet with their presence. I know I keep mine on a shelf so that if a lava flow comes by the shoes will be ok.

Imagine... ...have worn converse since white hi-tops were available for $5 & I'd buy by the wheelbarrel & paint/die them ... was tough to look at the price ... these are beautiful ! Would love to know that part of the $60 contributes toward world peace! Zappos rules as I tell all that will listen...

Converse All Star (Lennon/Peace) are all stars! I'm 39 and never have owned Converse sneakers, gotta tell y'all these are by far the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I wear custom orthotics and they fit in perfectly. I absolutely love them and would buy more as needed. The John Lennon Peace part is a cool added bonus.

Coolest Chucks - I thought the blue-sparkle Chucks I bought 15 years ago were cool. These are the best. I won't be wearing these all the time or in bad weather; I've got plenty of other Chucks for that. First shoe I've bought from Zappos and I could not be more pleased. Two days to get the shoes. Great site, it will be searching for some new dress shoes for work.

The details are incredible; from the original artwork by John Lennon to the words "imagine all the people living life in peace" imprinted on the toe. The ends of the laces are stamped with the words "Peace 2004".
