Great boot for heavy snow! I live in Chicago, so I need something warm and waterproof. This boot is both those things, and it's comfortable and looks good, too! The leather part of the boot took a few days to break in - it was very stiff at first. The boot is also quite heavy, but that's to be expected and just takes a little getting used to. Other reviews recommended buying a half side up, so I did and mine fit perfectly. The boot looks pretty good with jeans and the quality is great. I'm especially a fan of the traction on the bottom - wonderful for tromping around in foot-deep snow.

Awesome Boots - These boots are comfortable and very sturdy. Cool side zip. Fashionable and trendy. I have them in white and silver. Very hot. Not enough snow in NYC to truly test them out, but I still think they are the best choice.

I love them- Not only do I love the color (pink), but they fit perfectly. They are warm and very easy to walk in. Not only that, it is very easy to drive with them on, which can be a problem with some other boots that I have.

North Face wonderful winter boot- These boots are wonderful; they needed a bit of breaking in as they felt a little tight across the top of foot where the black part meets the leather. A couple of days with thin socks wearing them a little around the house then I wore them outside to shovel 10 inches of wet yucky snow and they have been true to size ever since. I would not exchange for a larger size, at first I wasn't sure because the length was great but quite snug on top, if I had returned them for larger they would slip in the heel and you would always need big hot socks. Once broken in they are a true size fit for me. I wear a 6.5 and now I can fit a larger sock inside if needed but they are warm enough without. I wore them all day, holiday shopping inside and outside in the snow, very comfortable I would highly recommend buying this boot, you will be pleased. Also the slightly higher boot above the ankle is so much more comfortable than my old boots no stress on the legs without compromising the flexibility. The quality is superb and Zappos is the best, I had them in two days, and they are worth every penny. They will last for many Michigan winters to be sure.

Great boots for winter weather - I ordered the pink boots- they are great- not too girly, but still fun for dreary winter weather. The pink does get scuffed up a bit and discolored if you really use these boots a lot. The fit was a little tight when they first arrived, but have soon stretched a bit. I didn't need to order down or up a size. Definitely worth the money.

Zowie!!!Awesome!!!Zap for cold, snow,& rain!!! Practical, comfortable, cozy & warm. These boots jump out of the closet onto your feet-n-snowgo!! Walking on ice is yet a challenge though, compared Timberland, Merrells... these North face are most warm & dry and for extreme temps. & of visiting the upper elevations.

finally found a pair - After searching stores and the internet, I finally found a pair of winter boots that my 11 year old daughter loves and wanted to buy. She is a size 11 shoe and doesn't like the trendy teen look that is out. She loved them when they came and are very comfortable, too. The only problem is the tag inside the right boot scratches her leg, the socks are not up that high.

Order up half size - These boots are definitely for trudging through the snow or if you have a need to keep your feet warm for long periods of time. They are stiff but move with you when you walk. I would definitely order up a half size for some toe room.

Best boots I ever bought- Comfortable, warm, dry outdoor winter boots. I love them. Out in the snow my feet stay nice and warm.

These boots are the best I have ever seen! These boots are absolutely fabulous. These were worth every penny. I wear a 10 W in sneakers so I ordered an 11 M and they are perfect with thick socks. I can't wait to wear these. They are warm and cozy!!!! They are sooooooooo nice!!!

Wonderfully warm - When I received this boot, I tried it on - barefoot. This must be the warmest boot that I have ever owned in my life. It was like putting my foot into a mink bootie. The boot hugged my foot, without being too tight - and it was truly warm enough to wear without any socks at all.

Great boot - Great boot, very comfortable, not nearly as bulky as the other options out there ... any way cuter than Uggs! I know that if I hit an ice patch I wont slip either.

Awesome Pair of Boots! These boots are definitely worth every penny. Haven't had to wear them yet but they are so warm and comfortable! I bought mine at my regular size because I don't want to wear thick bulky sock with them. I could wear these barefoot! Great item!

Great buy! I love these boots! They are warm, comfortable and so cute! I might have ordered the next size up though, just so that I can wear my big wooly socks in the winter.

The North Fac Greenland Zip - LOVE these boots. They're the first pair of boots that have truly kept my feet warm in the snow and cold. VERY comfy and I tend to be picky since I'm used to the support of Dansko. LOVE the side zip 'cause it's hardly noticeable yet makes for easy on/off. Worth every penny... just wish they were made in the USA! True to size but order half a size up if you plan on wearing heavy socks.

I have worn these boots in heavy rain and they kept my feet totally warm. Have not yet tried them in the snow and suspect that they will work very well. They are a bit clunky... but necessary in difficult wet and snowy conditions..

In LOOOOOVE with these boots - These are THE BEST winter boots ever made. They look SOOO good on...are SOOOO comfortable and most importantly, they keep my feet DRY and toasty WARM. I can walk in any awful winter weather (and it does go down to -40o C here) and my feet feel incredibly dry and oh so very warm. This is THE BEST boot I've ever bought. Worth every single penny. And trust me...for the quality, the fit and the features...they are cheap! I would recommend this boot to anyone who lives in cold winter weather. They are truly outstanding. They truly are as good as they claim to be! BUY THEM!

Greenland Zip - What a great winter boot! I saw these at a local store but they were out of my size. I went home and checked Zappos. Zappos had them, of course, and I bought them right away! No shipping and no tax...what a good deal! They fit well and are nice and warm! Very comfy and look pretty cute with jeans!

Winter wear in the Catskills - The shoe looks great, and is filled with warmth. The collar around the top is a bit stiff but will hopefully stretch a bit with wear. the weather has not yet become below zero and there is no snow. I do believe the shoe will do well with both of the above -frigid temps and lots of snow

Great boots! We recently had several inches of snow. The boots kept my feet warm and dry. The traction is also very good. They are a little stiff for walking, but not uncomfortably stiff. They are very attractive and worth every penny if comfort and warmth are your goals.

This is a great boot for Alaskan weather, and it looks good too!

The BEST boot! After walking my dog for over an hour in cold weather wearing these boots...I can tell you that they are THE BEST! My feet were toasty warm the entire time. The look is also great. Looks good with everything. I usually wear a size 7 but bought a size 7.5 to accomodate thicker winter socks and they fit perfect. I would recommend this boot to anyone that lives in a cold winter city.

This boot will keep your feet toasty whether shoveling the drive or walking the dog. Size is very accurate - if you wear thick socks, the boot will be tight.

BEST BOOT - this boot is well-made, sturdy, water proof and WARM. I will have no problem with the deep slush of the NYC city streets this winter, oh, and very cute!
