La Canadienne Alexa - Love the look of these boots! Funky and hip! Were a little tight due to the shearling lining but overall very comfortable. That may have loosened up as the lining compacted. No breaking needed. Kept my feet very warm and cozy. In the end, opted not to keep them as the climate here just isn't that cold...if I lived in Tahoe would be perfect. Really hard to send them back. Want these boots without the fur lining!

Warm and Stylish - Again - I love the La Canadienne's for comfort and warmth - they run a 1/2 size small to my other shoes. When looking for a boot that will carry through snow and northern cold in style these are the best. My last pair lasted years!

Beautiful boot - I have been searching for a perfect, everyday fall/winter boot for a couple of years, and I finally found it. These boots have serious traction - good for my city terrain. The leather is soft and very supple. The interior lining is very comfortable, I feel like I am walking on a cloud. I ordered a size up because these are not available in a 5. I found them to be perfectly roomy - I have wiggle room with thin socks. The boots are on the spendy side, but I think they are worth it. Thank you Zappos for prompt delivery and great service!

Gothic look, according to my husband. Dreamy feeling. Immediately a YES when I tried these on. Shearling is a dream and will surely keep me warm. TOO BAD the boot isn't higher. Of all 6 pairs of low heeled boots I ordered with Zappos, this is THE MOST comfy by far. True to size, I got 10W since I have a bunion and need the width. Room for a small gel insert if I so desire, but with out the insert, it still feels and fits fine. Just the right sole flexibility. I wish Zappos would get the La Canadienne Tami in chocolate suede. Nowhere to be found on earth!! it's a similar design but taller. I may send these back since I am not tall enough for my fashion tastes. Otherwise a winner.

La Canadienne Alexa - I almost didn't order these because they were lined in shearling. But, I did and now I'm so glad. I love them! They are really comfortable. The leather is very soft. It's a really thin leather backed with super soft shearling. They are so soft and comfy from the moment you put them on. They seem true to size but do fit a little snug at first. I agree with another reviewer in wishing they were a little taller, and the brown leather is so dark it almost looks black. Otherwise they're perfect!

Alexa Warm Boot. I was sure this boot was the perfect fit the moment I put it on. I wear an 11 Wide. It has ample toe room for my wide foot but is narrow enough in the heel. The heel height is perfect: low enough to be easy on the low back. I wish the boots weren't so clunky looking but they will be great for rainy days and especially for travel to colder climates. I own two other pairs of La Canadienne boots and love the quality workmanship.

Ordered these earlier in the season but it's been very mild in the NE. Just wore them for the first time and they are great. Snuggly and warm - really comfortable. Highly recommend.

Fantastic boots! Worth every dime - I got these boots because I wanted something warm and waterproof for Colorado winters and a December trip to eastern Europe and am so, so happy with them. I also wear only thin running socks and my feet have always stayed warm, even if my (covered up) head and hands became frozen outside. Super-comfy even after walking all day on cobblestone European streets. The only negative is that the dye does not seem to be colorfast - the 1st day I wore these boots with khakis and the insides and cuffs of my pants turned black - it came out in the wash but was a surprise.

Great boot - If you hate the cold but don't want to compromise on warmth, comfort and style, this hip boot is the one to get. They're so comfortable (providing excellent cushioning and support during hours of walking around the city streets) and I like them so much, that I wear them even when the outdoor temperature doesn't warrant their thick fleece interior. And, when the temperature has dipped and been accompanied by rain and cold damp air, my feet have remained warm and dry. My only complaint/request (and it's an insignificant one) would be that they be an inch to an inch and half taller in length. They'd look a bit better with skirts. That said, they look as good with black tights and a skirt as they do under slim jeans and baggy cargos.

Wonderful!! I just received these boots while at work, and promptly put them on. I love them! I found them to be a bit snug width-wise, but perhaps that's because my socks are slightly thick. I think once the boots have broken in they'll fit just fine. As one other reviewer wrote, I too found these slightly snug around my calves -- I have a thin, but athletic build so maybe that's why. But all in all, they're GREAT!

I ware these boots walking 3 miles yesterday in -5 degree weather and my feet were both warm and comfortable. They are so snuggly inside I wear them without socks. Great everyday boots in a cold climate.

Great boots - This is the best pair of boots I've ever owned. Extremely comfortable, warm, and stylish. I'm an Uggs addict, and I didn't think that I'd ever find a pair of boots as comfortable as Uggs, but La Canadienne's Alexa are just as comfortable, plus they're waterproof and look great.

Great, comfortable boots - Luv these boots, I usually wear an 8½ and these fit perfect. I stand at work all day and these offered plenty of support and comfort, more than most boots I own. They are definitely worth the money.

LOVE this boot!! Another winner from La Canadienne - I have problems with my feet and back... oh what the hey... my legs too. As a result, my shoes/boots have to be extremely comfortable, must fit well and give a lot of support. Add this to living in cold and I need warm toasty feet and body too! This is a PERFECT boot for anyone who wants to remain warm in winter... and who does not want to worry about slipping on ice or snow. YET have a boot that doesn't look like a space-shoe and that can go with practically any color or style (except formal). Great look & color. Superior quality is immediately apparent. Excellent leather. Fabulous to-the-toe shearling lining. Very warm - can wear just cotton ankle socks in winter. Great traction. As soon as I put these boots on... my feet sighed: yes... bliss! This is my 2nd pair of La Canadienne Boots. My 1st is the Annabelle style. Both are excellent and deserve the same review... just the Annabelle is a bit more casual looking... and since I got that in black, I’ll wear with black clothing and as my high-snow and slush days. I love the Alexa which will perform just as well as Annabelle... but I adore the Alexa look. Both boots are worth the $$! Absolutely!

Perfect - I'm SO happy to finally find a casual boot that's slim on top, and not gaping like a bucket! I hope they make more styles that fit like this. The square toe makes them very comfortable.

The winter boot I've been looking for! I'm actually looking forward to winter this year now that I have these boots. I've only worn them around the house so far, but they are extremely comfortable and so toasty. Finally a stylish boot to wear around Vermont in the winter.

Perfect Casual Winter Boot - I needed stylish, comfortable boots to endure my first New England winter, and, because I'm so picky, thought I'd never find the right ones. But the Alexa is absolutely perfect! They are casually cute, comfortable, and soooo warm. I have never bought shoes this expensive, but I know they are well worth it and will last for many winters to come.

Cozy and cute. Or handsome. Love these boots. Very warm and comfortable to walk in. I put a lot of miles on shoes, on NYC streets. The shearling lining is great, I didn't expect it. These are good with pants or with tights and a skirt. I can also ride my bike in them when it's cold.

Alexa boot - I love these boots. They fit perfectly- I am a true 7 1/2 medium. They are warm and light, and stylish. I like that they are not ultra feminine. I also like how warm they are and that I don't need to worry about them when I tramp around in the rain. I gave them a 4 only because I wish they were higher, but really they are so warm, it doesn't matter. Just gives me an excuse to buy more La Canadienne boots--which I am very impressed by. The quality and comfort are wonderful.

Comfy and stylish - I am so happy I discovered this brand. My feet always hurt because I have been wearing the same darn boots forever that I got in LA since I can't seem to find comfy boots in the stores that look good. I am so glad I discovered La Canadienne. I just bought 3 different pairs. The Alexa are warm and comfy and feel like they would give good snow traction. But they are a little wider in the ankle than they appear in the main photo, and that is probably due to the furry lining in them. But they still look ok, and I am super picky over looks.

Warm and dry! These boots aren't the most stylish and sort of remind me of men's motorcycling boots, but they are sooooo warm, and when I stepped in ice cold water up to my ankles they didn't leak. I am very impressed. They fit my foot fine, but oddly are tight in the leg, and I do not have out-sized calves, so I find that strange.

Love these boots - I love the fact that these boots are lined with shearling (that's the "weird brown furry stuff" mentioned in the previous review!) because they're warm enough for cold winters without looking too clunky, and it feels like you're wearing slippers all day long. I expected these boots to be on the casual side so no surprises there. I would recommend buying a half size bigger if you plan to wear socks with these, as the lining makes the boots a little snug. I have slightly thicker calves and ankles and the boots are a bit snug on my calves only, but are stretching to accommodate.

Supreme comfort - I ordered these boots for a trip to Europe, supremely comfortable, extra soft leather, VERY well made, a little more casual than I thought but a very cool look. I have received many compliments...very warm!!!! I Love Zappos!!

These boots were super comfy and lightweight. I usually wear a 7 or 7.5; ordered the 7 b/c they didn’t have a 7.5. They fit well if I wear thin socks, felt tight w/ medium socks, and can’t wear with thick socks. Also, almost no arch support, so definitely order up if you want to add inserts/orthotics. I have thin calves, and I just barely managed to zip these over skinny jeans and thin socks. Unfortunately, they only look okay. The toe is too square-shaped, and I wish the boot was taller. For this price, I can’t justify keeping them unless they were the perfect boot. As always, great service from Zappos.
