Love these. I'm a solid ladies size 8 and wear a ladies size 6 in these boots (I wear them barefoot and with thin socks). Sizing down this way allows for the stretching that these mocs will do and eliminates that annoying extra bit in the back of the heel/sole that this style tends to get.Worth the price? Well, I've had 4 pairs, but think their worth somewhat less. Yes, the leather is nice and softens up beautifully with wear, but they're mocs...not my sturdy Merrell trail shoes and not my sexy Jimmy Choo stilettos. Not intended for wet weather as water soaks straight through in the blink of an eye. The black dye will rub off onto your socks and skin while the boots are still new, but in my experience, by the time the laces are broken in, the color transfer from the dye is no more and your skin and light colored socks are safe. The outsole is rubbery and agile and wears through quickly, but a good cobbler can replace it for you for very little money (I think i paid $10?). The insole is a thin foam (maybe a 1/4-1/2 and inch?) and there is no arch support.

I bought these boots in brown some time ago (not from Zappos) and loved them so much that I absolutely had to have them in black. With Minnetonka being such a reputable company, I knew I could not go wrong. I love their overall style, quality and comfort. I would recommend ordering a size up. I am normally a 5 and ordered the 4, which fits like a 5 to me. I've already received tons of compliments on my brown ones and I'm sure the ladies will get a kick out of the black ones too. These boots are not common where I live, so when I wear them, I often feel like I stand out in the crowd. If you want to be different, bold, classy, and funky all in one, but still maintain the comfort, definitely these boots are the way to go. Regarding Zappos, I must say, I was very impressed with their friendly, knowledgeable staff and their speedy delivery. I ordered them on a Thursday evening and received them Saturday morning! Not sure who else would offer such great service and fast delivery! Thanks Zappos, I will definitely be ordering from you again!

I love me my Minnetonkas. They are more comfortable than slippers, with a good half inch of padding in the sole and a soft rubber sole to "boot". With over the calf boots being such a hot trend over skinny jeans, these are a secret treasure since they offer the option to alternate a no heel comfy leather boot that has far more style than the cookie cutter Ugg boot knock offs that have become the Crocs of the boot scene. All the style, all the comfort and ten times the quality.

Wow! I love Minnetonkas! I have chronic back pain, high arches & degenerative disc disease (have had 1 disc fusion already) & have literally spent thousands of dollars throughout the years looking for footwear that wouldn't add to my pain & tada! Minnetonka! I now am the proud owner of a pair of moccasins, the fully-fringed knee-high boots & now these boots. They are skid proof on the ice too and in VT that's a huge plus! I am glad to say that I have no longer missed any time from work due to back pain since I have discovered this line of footwear over a year ago & my orthopedic surgeon now recommends them to her other patients with my condition after seeing the affect it has had on me. Go Minnetonkas! I found when ordering boots you should order a size larger or you toes will be right at the tip & you can't wear any socks.

My favorite boot. Very comfy and looks great with every color denim jean I own. Get many compliments. For being a flat heel boot... all the guys I work with think this boot is sexy. The lacing of the boot does get easier the more you wear these boots.

Not true to size. Very snug and narrow. I suggest ordering a half to whole size larger.

I've been wanting a pair of casual everyday black boots to wear and came across these. I loved the look and the price tag on the shoes so I ordered them in black. I read a couple reviews mentioning that the back heel of the boots create a pinch to the back of the foot, but I wanted the shoes so bad I ordered them anyway (beauty is painful at times, right?) However, when I received my shoes, I knew exactly what the reviews were talking about. Being a women's footwear designer myself, I knew right off the bat what the problems were in this shoe. First of all, I question if these shoes were made on a shoe last, as the toe cap on the left and right foot are evidently different shaped. On my left foot, the toe cap is round, on the right, the toe cap is pointed. I understand that the traditional methods of constructing a moccasin cause the shoes to all have slight differences in shapes, but since this is commercialized for everyday people to wear, the fit should be more consistent. Secondly, due to the construction/sewing method they used on this style, the back seam where they connect the Achilles dip creates a fold which stabs into the Achilles instead of cushioning it. I literally wore these boots to buy coffee (which was 15 steps from my car to the door) and I came home to a small blister on my Achilles. I had ordered these shoes in the same size I normally wear, but the fit is just off. Very stylish shoe, but poor fit.

I love these. So comfy. The sole inside is so plush. I wore them shopping and they were as good as a pair of running shoes. So many people stared at my legs with these on. I wore with shorts. Loved them so much I bought the low ones afterward. I wear a 7 1/2 and 7 was perfect.

Love these boots! I've been wanting them for a while now and finally got them - best decision of my life! My feet are so comfy and warm in the 3 ft of snow we have in NJ.

I'm a 6 1/2 so a size 7 was actually a bit big and at the beginning the back of my ankle would hurt walking with these boots on. But all in all, I love these boots.

True to size and very comfortable. Very hip too, bought them to go with a costume and now I wear them with jeans!

These are fabulous! I had some blistering on the back of my ankle after the 1st wearing, but once I broke them in they are very comfortable.

I ordered a pair of Minnetonka knee-hi boots for my daughter for Christmas. The delivery was surprisingly fast and she loved the boots. We are permanent customers.

This is my first pair of Minnetonka, and I love them. They wear like warm, cozy slipper socks but give just enough support to make for a comfortable day at work. The fringe at the knee and slender fit look great with skirt lengths at the knee and above. The workmanship is great, and I look forward to wearing them for years to come. Zappos is my favorite store!

Fantastic - BEST shoe purchase I ever made! Delivery from Zappos was timely and accurate, as it always has been for me. The mocs are ADORABLE and comfortable, and complete strangers have been complimenting me since the first day I wore them out. They look great with everything --jeans, skirts, cutoffs...I lusted over these for awhile before I finally caved and bought them. I only wish I'd gotten them sooner! I bought a size 9, which is what I normally wear, and they fit beautifully. I have the spindliest of legs, and have had no trouble with too much slouching, as one reviewer mentioned below. You can lace them as tightly or loosely as you like, so you have total "slouch control." If you're debating on whether or not to buy these boots, hesitate no longer!!

Comfort and Cuteness - I hesitated at purchasing these, but after wearing them around all day, indoors and out, I am loving them more and more. The work with my Juicy sweats, in or out of jeans, and look so cute w/ the broomstick skirts for spring. I have a narrow heel and they are a tad loose there, but still comfy as heck since they are so soft! They fit my foot snugly so I would think that a wider foot may find this boot a bit narrow.

Something different - I got these boots to keep my feet warm they actually fit really well under my pants. I’m not one to wear boots over pants =) but yeah it really is not hard to lace up and once you get the laces on you just need to loosen them to take them off. The only weird thing is when I take them off my sock stays in them =P my first moccasins; very cute.

Love, love the boots! I ordered them in black and a size 9. I usually am a 9.5 but with everyone saying they fit a bit larger I ordered down & they feel nice and snug, as they should. The picture also makes the black boot look worn, but luckily it looks a lot better in person! A bit hard to lace, but it’s worth it. Very comfy, very stylish, I expect to wear them till it’s too warm!
