I have used these boots to climb 14ers in Colorado, and weekend backpacking trips. They are great. Great traction. Dependably waterproof. Great boots.

Inca Trail and the Paine Circuit- no problem... We just returned from hiking around South America, including the famous Inca Trail and the Paine Circuit of Torres del Paine, with the Fugitives and they were absolutely GREAT. Warm, breathable and sturdy, these boots held up to all the conditions of the numerous steps of the Inca Trail with a 30lb pack and more. These shoes were great in every aspect and I often was asked where and what kind of boots they were as they are cool looking too.

F-GTX- Great boot. Not quite as comfortable/supportive as my previous Asolo I wore completely out (although, they are at the same price-point). Wear proper type socks for best fit. Be careful not to over/under tighten lacing. Snug for loaded hiking & slightly looser when just goofing off. Lighter & better h2o-proofing than my old boots. Fit is somewhere between true & 1/2 larger than marked, based on the type of lining/padding I believe. Still, overall I'm very satisfied!

Good boot/Great service - It's a brand new boot for me, but I believe this boot will be everything that everybody says about it. It is very comfortable and light. More importantly,however, in a time when typical internet customer service is more of a "let the buyer beware" approach, Zappos service keeps getting better and better...and quicker. I have a difficult foot to size for any shoes. I dreaded the return/exchange process, but the entire exchange for the right shoe size took only 2 days.

Excellent ! This Asolo's Fugitive Hiking Boots looks and feel really good. I love it; especially for long walks. You should buy a pair , you will love it.

Asolo Fugitive GTX - I took up backpacking a while back and since I live in North Carolina there are endless opportunities -- especially along the Appalachian Trail. I read all the reviews and did my homework before settling on these boots. From the minute I tried them on, though, I knew they were right for me. Zero break-in time and they really lend a feeling of security. They draw attention so if you don't like people asking about your boots and where you got them, try something else. Just kidding -- These are great. Do yourself a big favor and pick up a pair. I normally wear a 10.5 (US) but 10 was perfect in the Asolo's. Never stop exploring!

This boot fits like a sock and I would recommend it to anybody absolutely brilliant!

These are great shoes. I'm on my feet all day as a dog walker and need a good sturdy warm boot that can handle the concrete of NYC. I would recomend these shoes. If you have wide feet though, they may be too tight. For me though the fit was perfect.

I have worn Asolo boots for the past 15 years or so and have always found them to be well made and comfortable. I was sad to see that upon putting these on my feet, Asolo has changed their last significantly and they no longer fit my foot shape. I am sending these back, although I must say they look, as always, well-built. If they fit your foot (narrow across the metatarsels for me) I imagine you will love this boot.

Bullet Proof - Got them for a very cold 2 week shoot on the Monterey Peninsula. Freezing ocean, rugged terrain along the coast, freezing mornings up at sunrise, sand, Helicopter, 12 days of shooting sunrise to sunset these things never came off my feet. I love them. I am destructive and brutal to my shoes on a shoot and saw these in a retail store... didn't have my size - ordered them online, got next day delivery, service was great. I am a toe-dragging, ankle twister too and these shoes frankly still look new. They are firm, which once you get used to, you come to rely on... I was wedging my foot into rocks on the shore to get a shot...stuff like that... the boot is a great boot. I am thinking of getting another pair before they change the color.

Surprisingly Comfortable! Not to add much to the reviews that are already here, but the boots are very comfortable. There was zero break-in time.

Perfect shoe, for good price -

I have always worn size 9 US but have been feeling like I need to go up a size and after consulting with other men my age decided to try size 10. I liked the Asolo Fugitive and will probably buy a pair. It felt good overall, material, size, comfort. I sent those back because I think I want another color.

Good light day hike boot! Nice day hiking boot. Pretty comfortable. If you are used to sizes from American brands, go about a half size to one size smaller for the Asolo’s.

Bit narrow fit but a well designed shoe and good support.

I bought this boot for moderate hiking and backpacking, hoping to find something a bit more rugged than the Keen offerings that would still fit my very wide foot. It seems well made and rugged, but I had to send it back because even the wide version was too narrow.

These are probably great boots for those with narrow feet, but if your feet are even moderately wide, proceed with caution. I bought size 9 wide, and while the length is correct and the ankle support terrific, the toe box is very constricted and cramps the toes. I've worn the boots for over a month now, all the time trying to convince myself it's just a matter of breaking them in, but my toes keep barking for more room.

I've worn this boot a lot now and my only complaint is that there is no cushioning in the sole. After a few hours of hiking, my feet felt battered--not something I've felt with my older boots. Seems quite absurd that an expensive MSRP boot requires the customer to go and buy cushion inserts.

Short on longevity - I loved this boot from the moment I put it on. I have narrow feet and a high instep and they fit perfect. I work in maintenance at a climate controlled plant (40*F) and my boots work great. They are very waterproof also. Only one defect...after 8 months the soles cracked right under the "Asolo" name and the rubber toe bumper is starting to come off. It would be a perfect boot if only it lasted a little longer
