I really love these shoes -- I am on my sixth pair (second set of each of three different colors). I can walk 8-10 miles in them while sightseeing, which is a truly awesome shoe. However, I have two issues with them. First, the sizing is inconsistent -- pairs of the same size fit slightly differently. If you get one that feels slightly "off" for your foot, I would recommend trying the same size/color again because the second pair might fit differently. Second, the straps stretch out, so they are only good for long-distance walking the first summer you wear them. By the next summer, they are still comfortable, but don't provide enough support for very long distances. So that's a bit disappointing. Finally, I'll note that, although my feet are wide, these are not a problem. I think it depends on where/how your feet are wide -- these fit the shape of my feet just right (narrow heels, wide in the bunion area, then taper back in).

I have just recently started wearing these because right after I ordered them, I bashed my toes, and the service at Zappos is so great, I could have worn them the next day! The cork footbed is very supportive and comfortable, but they do run short. I measure "true to size" an 11 & 1/2 narrow. I really wanted the adjustable Carly, but this is one of the few Naots that come in a 43 or 44. I probably could have used the 44; there is no extra toe room in these 43's. Having a long narrow foot that needs support, I appreciate these shoes, but I'm down beat about Naot cutting of so many cool shoes/sandals at 42 -- since so many run short anyway, they're cutting out those who wear a true 11. I would love to get a Naot shoe for winter that was supportive and fit narrow; I feel like us tall women with long feet are out of the loop! I think this Kayla will work, though because the ankle strap keeps my foot seated correctly, and the foot bed keeps my foot from sliding around. The straps are very soft and comfortable, and they're very attractive. Please Naot, make more shoes in "extended sizes."

Too small! I wear a 13 women's. I compared this sandal to my other size 13 sandals and they are a full size smaller and narrower (narrower was expected, as per description)--very disappointed as they are cute! It is very hard to find comfortable sandals in my size so I wish they would get the sizing right and not put me through the hassle of ordering and returning.

I love these sandals! I have several years of experience with this style, and have found that these are by far the most comfortable sandals I've ever worn -- and I walk a lot. By buying a new pair every year, in a different color from the year before, I always have at least two pairs to choose from. One word of warning -- they do run somewhat narrow, but are perfect for me (normally a AA). (If you check the Naot website, you will see that they are listed among their narrower styles.)

I ordered size 38 in Naot Kayla color. My usual size is 7-7:30 and this felt true to size. I tried the shoe at home and it feels super comfortable and the design is very minimal. However, the color wasn't as it pictured. It's like a light grey whereas the picture has a pink tone to it. I was very disappointed to see that. Also the bottom of the shoe feels a bit warm. Not sure how it's gonna be in warm weather.

These shoes run very narrow and a bit short. I am normally a size 11 (42) but had to get a size 12 (43) in this shoe. Otherwise, my toes hung over the front and side.

I first ordered a size 40 because I'm typically a 9-9 1/2. When I compared these to other sandals of mine, they were a good 3/4" shorter! While I haven't worn them yet, other than to try them on, they seem really comfortable. Be sure to order a size up if you're unsure!

I needed a simple black sandal to wear with both jeans and skirts, and I tried 6 different styles of Naot sandals before I returned to the Kayla, which I've owned for years in the bronze color. I usually wear orthotics; I have a very slim ankle and heel and a shallow instep, and I'm forever looking for comfortable sandals that have support in the right places and don't gape over the top of the foot or the in the heel. The Kayla is comfortable, fits my foot perfectly, and has clean lines that go with everything. I may just go back and get it in a few more colors!

These sandals are much cuter on than in the pictures. They looks great with shorts, skirts and capris. I bought them in narrow for my narrow feet and they fit perfectly. I just spent a week on vacation and wore them all week (lots of walking in Europe) and they were super comfortable all week. I have the black non-patent. Wish there were better color choices and I would get another pair.

Second pair of Naots, very happy. Bought these for a summer trip through Austria and Germany. I have plantar fasciitis, and this is one of the few brands of sandals I can wear all day. I ordered several pairs to try, and these in western croc were the most subtle looking.

This is my fifth pair of these exact same Naot Kayla sandals. I also order the same color year to year -- Matte Black, even though I always tell myself I'll try another color next year! I like a lot of their colors, but the Matte Black is just so darned versatile, it's hard to ignore! I agree with a previous reviewer in that these sandals run a little narrow and a little short. I measure as a true size 11. And, I do wear the 42 (Women's 11) in this sandal. However, when they are new, they are always quite snug in the width until they have a little time to stretch out. The all-leather upper straps WILL stretch out with a little bit of time, but they'll never stretch too much. This sandal also runs a tad short. I wear a size 11 in almost all footwear. I occasionally have to order a 12 in a running shoe, and I very occasionally have to order a 10 in a sandal. Otherwise, I'm a straight 11. But the front edge of the footbed of this Naot Kayla sandal sits right at the very end of my left big toe in a size 11, and a hair past the end of my right big toe. (My left foot is a slight bit bigger than my right.) It's unusual for me that a size 11 sandal wouldn't have plenty of length in the footbed. So, when I get them in the mail, they always feel a tad too tight and _almost_ too short on the left foot. But in no time, they become THE most comfortable non-running shoe I have ever worn! The cork footbed provides so much support! These sandals will get more and more comfortable over time. I have frequently walked 3-5 consecutive miles in them, instead of slipping into my tennies. No problem! I had plantar fasciitis when I reluctantly ordered my first pair of these Kayla sandals based on a recommendation. That was 8 years ago. They felt SO GOOD on my feet that they became a turning point for me! After I discovered how good my feet could feel in a shoe, I have never ordered any other shoe since that does not provide an extremely high level of comfort! Yep. It's comfort before style for me! But! This shoe is CUTE! It really is! It's much cuter on than it looks in the pictures! And it goes will sundresses, jeans, slacks, yoga pants, bathing suits, etc. It's a very versatile, extraordinarily comfortable, and attractive shoe! What more could you want in a sandal?

Looks great and very comfortable. They are so light, it doesn’t feel like you are wearing shoes. Maybe go up 1/2 size. Seems slightly short footbed.

Love these sandals! My first pair is in black, this time I went with copper. Very pretty. I walked all over Prague and Germany in these shoes, had no problems at all. They are great for my bad knee. I am an 8 1/2 for size and ordered both the 39 and 40 - the 40 fit the best.

I have had these sandals for a couple of years. I wore them straight out of the box all through Europe for a couple of weeks and they were incredibly comfortable. Great for walking, and a bit less frumpy than many walking sandals. It did not take long, however, for the nubuck on the back strap to stretch out. I'm taking them to a cobbler to have the shortened, because the back strap is not adjustable. I wear an 8.5M and they fit great in width.

I have "triangle feet" - narrow heels and wide at the toes. Often my pinky toe feels crowded. These shoes are great!

As a 60-year old woman with a history of bone breaks in ankles and feet, I find if difficult to find comfortable, supportive, reasonably stylish sandals. My forefoot has gotten a bit ”spready” with age, my big-toe joints are tender, and I can no longer tolerate a sandal that goes between my toes (flip flops and such). These Naot sandals are perfect for my needs! The straps across the forefoot are soft and well placed, so they don’t cause pain in my pinkie toe (or allow it to escape, which some sandals do). The straps are a bit loose (the sandal does not run wide but the straps do, which is odd), which might normally be a problem for me because my foot moves around on the footbed at bit, but the contoured footbed offers enough stabilizing support that that the shoe feels secure. I would usually pass on any shoe where straps fastened with Velcro, but on these very casual shoes the Velcro makes sense. It also allows you to fully customize the closure strap, for a comfortable fit (and loosen the strap if your feet get puffy on a hot day). The Velcro is not too obvious. I am a US9 Medium and ordered a size 40 (I often take a 9 in other brands). The back of the shoe (heel cup) fits my heel perfectly, while the front is a smidge narrow. It’s not bad enough to be a problem, but ideally I would want maybe a quarter inch more room there. The footbed is just long enough for me. My (short) toes sit very close to the front edge and my feet scoot forward a little as I walk. So if you are between sizes or have long, wandering toes, I suggest ordering the next size up. Overall, I am very pleased with these. No break-in period needed. I bought the Navy Velvet because the color is less harsh against my pale feet than the black colorway would be. I think navy is a good neutral. The cork footbed feels cool and soft on your bare soles. Cork is also anti microbial, which is great for sandals.

I used to love Naots. I have long skinny feet (12AA), and could occasionally find attractive Naots that were sublimely comfortable and long-wearing. Maybe they are manufactured to differing standards, but if they are long enough they are too wide. Some 42's fit. Some 43's are too small. The variability is quite frustrating, and with feet this size there are precious few options. I have to return these. They are too wide. The Mephisto Helen saved the day. Zappos rocks!

I have many pairs of the Naot Kayla's (black matte leather, gray croc leather, rumba leather, navy velvet nubuck) and I absolutely love this shoe! It's nice to have a supportive sandal that doesn't look too orthopedic (had to stop wearing my beloved flip flops as it started to hurt to hold the shoe onto my foot). I find most of the Kayla's are comfy out of the box and have a minimal "break-in" time (I do find some of the leathers that are stiffer need a little more break-in time than others). I did feel like out of the box the Crinkle Steel Leather is a bit tighter all the way around than other colors - the strap across the top of my foot definitely could use a bit more stretching out in this particular color. But I did decide to keep them as I'm super pleased with the grayish color they are.

These are great sandals, but. I have a very narrow foot. The Velcro strap allows me to tighten enough to get a secure fit, but at that point the fixed angle of both sides makes it impossible to line up the two pieces. So the bottom Velcro sticks out. I am keeping them and wearing them, but every time I look down it bothers me.

I was so hoping this sandal would work for me. It looked super cute on Zappos' site and was just as cute when I tried them on. Major problem though: the toe area is too tapered (narrowed) for my foot; although the straps fit fine, my toes end up far too close to the edge of the shoe, with a couple of them hanging over. I've never had this problem with sandals before. You'd think - just size up, right? I did just that; the foot/toe bed was then perfect, but the sandal straps were far too roomy and my foot slid all over. I have an average, not wide foot, so the general width of the shoe was not the problem - only the toe area. I found the same issue with the Naot's Dorith style. So, so bummed out I have to return these!

Naot Kayla Sandal - I find these shoes very comfortable, as I normally wear orthodic inserts, and this cork insole is very supportive for my high arch. Was looking for a white sandal that I could wear with my summer dresses, and it looks good too. I have plantar fasciitis, which can be very painful on the heel, but I feel little or no pain when I wear these all day. I wish this shoe came in half-sizes; my toes go a little over the edge, and the next size up wasn't available.

These sandals were a disappointment. The footbed is very hard and not comfortable for all day on your feet as a teacher. The leather straps were very pale and looked washed out until I applied leather conditioner. I still love the style but only wear them for short periods. Not worth the money.
