Had to send these back. I purchased the DARK GREY/OFF WHITE color but the moment you take a step they're super squeaky. I have 3 pairs on Onitsuka Tigers already (including 1 pair of Mexico 66) so I'll definitely buy them again, unfortunately this one pair was terrible. So glad I bought these from Zappos, returns are easy.

I had high hopes for these, as had a white leather pair (purchased in Germany five years ago) that were pretty comfortable. I ordered the wine color, hoping that they would be a cool canvas shoe (the leather ones are too hot to wear in summer). Was seriously disappointed: not only was the wine color unattractive in person, but the shoes were stiff and uncomfortable too. I am returning them. This is a cheap-feeling shoe for the price.

I love the style of these shoes, but I'm returning them because of the flap on the back. I don't know if I just got a defective pair or if it's a design flaw, but the flap sticks straight out or up instead of lying flat against the back of the shoe. And it feels like it would rub the back of my heel in any case. So sad. I otherwise love the way they look.

A few years ago I wore out a pair of ulimate 81's (back when they had a black with red stripes color scheme) because I wore them every day in all types of weather and work for about a year. It seems the quality control isn't what it was for this type of shoe, so I'm returning them. This time I found the arch support was a full 3/4" toward the rear in the left shoe compared to the right, resulting in a weird 'bump' feeling. At first I thought it might just be my feet but I actually can visually see and measure the difference from the heel cup. I have long toes so this is normally never a problem; if anything the ball of my foot hits the arch support and not the nearly the heel as in this case. Then the rubber toe guard outsole on the right shoe was applied all wanky so it was asymmetric and obviously different from the left toe. Overall I'm not impressed and I think there's a good reason why we don't see these shoes in regular stores anymore.

Great looking and really comfortable shoe. Unfortunately, I walk a lot (about 35 miles a week) and just four months after I got them the soles are completely destroyed with quarter sized holes on the center ball of each foot. Also I had a lot of problems with the dye leaching and ruining my socks even when the shoes weren't wet. While I really enjoyed the comfort of these as a walking shoe there's no way I can purchase another pair at $80.

I'm a car-less city dweller and rely on my feet to get everywhere. While these kicks look styling, they just aren't up to the task of providing comfort and support when one is walking several miles a day.

Great looking shoe, but honestly the worst arch support in a shoe I've ever seen in my life. I've never had to wear insoles or Dr Scholl's, but even after going out and buying a pair and putting them in these shoes, they still absolutely killed my feet. I couldn't wear them around the house for more than 15 minutes without having to take them off. I had to return them, even though the style is great.

Once the sole starts to wear on the heel. Pronation starts to destroy the wear-ability of these shoes.

This shoe looks great, but offers no support or comfort whatsoever. The sidewalls of the shoe are very flimsy and the sole is non-cushioning and hard. If you have to walk more than a few hundred feet in any given period of time, I'd stay away from this shoe. For the price, I now have a pair of shoes that I probably won't wear again because they're so uncomfortable.

Great looking shoe but material is cheap and if you get them wet they are ruined. For the price, bad buy.

I liked the look of this shoe, but the arch is in the wrong place (too close to the toes), and this made them too uncomfortable.

These were very cheaply made and not worth the price! Asics are my favorite sneaks, but these wouldn't have lasted more than a couple weeks. Thin materials and arch felt too far forward. Color was darker than pictured. I don't get the hype.

Horrible sole, no support.
I was a big fan of Onitsuka Tiger after owning the Ultimate 81's. In comparison, the Mexico 66 has a TERRIBLE sole. It has almost no support and is completely flat in the heel. Very uncomfortable to walk in for more than a few minutes. Unfortunate since they look pretty nice.

No Comfort -
If you are looking for a shoe that looks good but will leave your feet aching badly after a day of walking then get these shoes. The thin design of the shoes makes every step agony as you will feel your feet hit the concrete with every step. Also, I can’t believe these shoes were ever made for running with no ankle support I sprained my ankle chasing a bus not doing athletic running.

Good-looking shoe but that's about it!
This shoe looks great-lightweight, great design and good leather but the buck stops here. Poor arch support and very little padding-you can feel every crack and pebble on the ground when you walk.
This shoe is so flat, it makes peope of short stature feel like they are even shorter!
I still like this shoe because it looks great with everything I wear and it's one of the narrower shoes I have purchased so far in the states (I'm from Australia and Australians are thinner than Americans), whereas so many other street shoes I have purchased here are too wide for my feet to the point where it gets uncomfortable.

Too small.
The shoe has lots of padding, so it might be very nice, but it was simply too small for my son to even try it on.

do not spray any leather protector on your shoes -
leather protector ruined the stripes on my asics. I was pissed. The shoes look good and fit well they need more sole, my feet fall asleep alot in them. They are okay shoes, but not as good as I expected.

Great looking shoe...but very uncomfortable and poor quality -
These shoes look great - very trendy, perfect with jeans, etc. However, they are not comfortable AT ALL! The cushion insert is paper thin and the soles of the shoes are flat, so you can feel every bump on the ground. There is ZERO arch support so my feet ache after wearing them. I tried to add a cushion insert but the shoes are so shallow that the insert caused my heel to pop out. Even without the insert my heel popped out and I found that the back of the shoe would fold under my foot (like slippers!). Go with the other Tigers that have more cushion and support.

Not EXACTLY what I expected.
They aren't exactly comfortable, nor uncomfortable. One problem I have with them is that in person, they look a little diffrent. They resemble bowling shoes...

Disappointed with the Quality – Not What I Expected from Onitsuka Tiger
I've always admired Onitsuka Tiger for its style and legacy, which is why I chose to invest in a pair. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from what I expected. Despite wearing the shoes minimally — no more than 20-25 times — the sole of one shoe has already started to tear. This kind of wear and tear, so soon after purchase, is a clear sign of poor quality and not something I expected from a premium brand.
What’s even more disappointing is the customer service. I reached out hoping for a solution, expecting the brand to stand behind its product.
But instead, I was met with a cold, policy-driven response that completely ignored the actual issue — the poor quality of the product. While I understand that policies exist for a reason, sometimes a brand needs to look beyond the fine print and genuinely listen to its customers.
I explained that the shoes had hardly been used, and the wear was not from overuse but clearly a quality defect. Still, the support team refused to take responsibility or offer any solution, repeatedly citing the expired 90-day warranty.
As someone who trusted Onitsuka Tiger for its reputation, this experience has been deeply disappointing. I expected better both in product quality and in how the brand treats its customers. Sadly, I can no longer recommend Onitsuka Tiger and will be hesitant to purchase again.
Premium pricing should come with premium quality and service — and unfortunately, this fell short on both.

Review is for the yellow leather pair.
Awful show. Im very disappointed in Asics for their design effort here. I own many pairs of Tigers and have loved then all; until this pair. The leather heel backing is so stiff as to completely cut up the rear of your heel if you walk any further than a couple hundred yards in these. They are all but unwearable in any type of routine daily activity. I'm left hoping that Zappos with take a return despite the fact that they have been worn.

These are great looking shoes, but sizing is all wrong. I don't think that shoes can be made for both men and women simply by making the shoe longer or shorter. Men and women's feet are different. The front part of the part of shoe looks "boxy" on the foot. I think women's feet are slimmer than men's even if the feet are the same length.

Alarming! this shoe has an unbelievable odor like mildew or some chemical like fermaldihyde. I had to wash my hands and put the shoes and box outside. But I can still smell it in my room even after airing it out overnight!! Zappos: please look into this.

I like the style of this shoe, but the quality of the construction is poor. Visible glue where the sole was attached, and spots of glue on the suede toe of the shoe. Not worth the price.
