I buy these Tigers because of the way they look. They are beyond cool, with their ultra low-profile design. They're sexy shoes with a definite European flair to them (though they are Japanese by design). You see these frequently around Paris on the feet of the younger generation. Even though I'm in my 40's they still look cool. You just can't find a cooler-looking, old-school style sneaker. I get compliments all the time. This, I may add, is my second pair, with 2 more on deck. Even my 14 year old son fell in love with them since nobody at his school wears them. So they have a certain "hard-to-find" cool factor that makes them more doable to many. Having said all that, they are not the most supportive shoe out there. In fact, they really are just for looks. You could run in them because they're so light, but they have zero arch support so it would be somewhat like running barefoot. The sole is flat and thin, of course. Still, they're like a feather and they look great. If you want serious running or walking shoes, these aren't them. But if you want some cool shoes, look no further.

These shoes are a classic throwback to a simpler time. Sleek and well-made, they evoke the period of running's glory days. Though they don't feature today's high tech innovations of cushioning and support in running shoes technology, they are great for kicking around and dressing down. They go well with a track suit or jeans. I like to wear them when driving as well.

I have two pairs of these and one for casual wear, and one for running. As has been said, they don't have arch support. That's why I'm using them for running as a supplement to barefoot running and runs in my Vibrams. It takes some getting used to, but they're perfect for minimalist running if you're into that sort of thing.

Great, comfortable shoe! I usually wear Adidas Sambas, but the newer models are not quite as comfy as the older ones. This shoe is my new favorite.

I got my first pair of Mexico's about a year ago and they've held up surprisingly well to my shoe abuse. I commute to my job on an urban campus so I walk on concrete all day, and these are my shoe of choice. They're extremely durable while still being light and comfortable. My ankles over-pronate to create a tiny arch, so I appreciate the modest (but definitely present) arch support. Even though my original pair is still going strong, I'm about to get my second pair just because I love them so much. My only problem with them is that the women's sizes do run large. I kept my over-sized ones just out of laziness, but for me they run at least a half size too big, possibly even a full size.

Like these shoes need anymore reviews! After 2 years of ownership, I figured I'd finally document a review. I love these shoes. They've lasted comfortably for 2 years! They run as labeled length wise but are a bit narrow width wise. A great stylish, comfortable shoe every one should own.

I am on my third pair of these shoes -- not because they're crappy, but because they're literally all I wear! I even wore them exclusively on a 3 month long trip menacing my way through Europe on foot! Shoe perfection! They will be stiff when you first get them, but they will soften up to be quite sock-like. Because of this softening and stretching, you may want to consider getting the shoe half a size smaller than you normally would wear a sneaker (just so it's snug). It's a little weird feeling at first, but after stretching they'll fit perfectly. Basically, I wear these shoes in the same size I wear sandals. But with Zappos' crazy fast, crazy free shipping, who cares if it doesn't fit! Oh, also beware the tread! It's these little pyramids, but after wearing them down, stepping on mud, ice, wet moss, wet leaves, etc. gets even more precarious than normal.

These shoes are super cute and have that "euro" style that I was looking for. I was a little hesitant because I thought it would look too masculine but when I received them and tried them on, it was perfect! I normally wear a size 5.5 and these are a little too big, but it feels and looks great. I'm definitely hooked on these bad boys!

This is my 2nd pair. I love the look and feel of these. No arch support, and also the treads tend to be fairly slick on some wet surfaces and also wear out within about a year. Still love 'em though!

Ordered these in the black/white 2 after returning my pair of Ultimate 81s because the size was too big (I'm usually a 6.5 and I wear a 6.5 in Asics running shoes) and the style wasn't exactly what I had hoped. These shoes are awesome, got them in size 6. Super lightweight and some moderate arch support. I have flat feet with almost non-existent arches so I was looking for a low-profile casual sneaker that still had some support. The soles feel great and the tread is very quiet...I hate having new sneakers that squeak on floors. My only gripe is I wish they would make them available for those with a wider arch. I like these so much I'm going to keep them, but ideally I would have wanted them to be a tad wider.

Three words: Stylish, hip and comfortable. I just got these for urban wear and not for any sort of athletic activity other than walking around normal day to day.

I love my women's Mexico 66s and wanted a black/white pair so I figured this "unisex" pair would work fine. I ordered my normal size (W 6.5) and figured they'd fit the same. Unfortunately the "unisex" shoes seem to be slightly longer than the Women's specific ones. Hopefully with thick socks I can still wear the shoes. Just a warning for the Mexico 66 women.

I have at least wore up three pairs of these and I cannot get enough. They are great shoes for style and comfort. Do not wear them if you are planning to walk more than 3-4 hours though.

They look great. I have already gotten a couple compliments on them. As a note, not necessarily a downside, the leather is very thin and the padding/sole is thin as well, which makes for a very lightweight shoe. It just does not provide a ton of comfort/support.

I wear a 12W women's. The 11 men's fit well, sleek looking and comfortable, perfect for my smart-casual style at work and on weekends. Probably not enough cushion for extensive walking but okay for regular days.

This shoe is a great shoe overall. The style is perfect, and was everything i wanted and more. If you have a pair of indigo colored jeans, beware to try not let it rub off on your shoe. Im a sneaker, as well a denim geek and this shoe really in a way completes a good outfit. Even though the price of this shoe is really high, i would definitely buy another pair. Oh, and make sure to downsize by 1/2 for a perfect fit!

It seem the Onitsuka line needs to carry separate reviews for the different variations. A major flaw of The Mexico 66 is its complete lack of traction on a wet smooth surface. The micro diamond tread (unique to this model) is very ineffective in this regard. In addition the sole does not offer much padding and feels thin. Needless to say I was quite shocked at my negative experience of these shoes in the face of almost universal acclaim of the Onitsuka Tiger. This, I think, is due to the reviews for all models being lumped together because the Mexico 66 is certainly no 5 star shoe.

I love the look of these shoes. But after buying 2 pairs, I can't recommend them because the suede toe gets instantly dirty and is impossible to clean. I think its a combination of the outside dirt, and sweat from my toes, but the tip of the suede is all dark, almost black. The first pair did this. so the 2nd pair, i made sure i put on suede protector. Then when they started discoloring, I tried suede cleaner and brushes, and it still looks crappy.

These shoes are awesome. Really comfortable and cute. I wore them trekking all over Italy and they were great. Only thing is that they run a little big. I normally wear a 7 and ordered the corresponding size. I ended up having to ship them back and get a smaller size. No problem though since it's free shipping both ways!

These shoes are pretty awesome. They are comfortable and easy going. I guess the only thing would be that like most new shoes they took about a week of wear to break in (the back upper edge of the heel park kind of hurts at first, where the flap is) but it totally went away and now they are perfect. The sizing is pretty accurate, I wear 6 women's and got both a 6 and 5½ they are both very wearable but the 5½ feels better as they stretch to fit your foot over time, so half a size smaller might be good.

The Mexico 66 is a great shoe. Classic styling makes this shoe stand out. The only thing to be aware of is that it has very little structural support in the upper or in the soul.
