I love these shoes! I can't say enough good things about them! I have arthritis and I'm a teacher, so I'm on literally on my feet for 6+ hours a day. After being off for the summer, I went back to work and my feet were killing me by mid-day. It was so bad that I could barely even walk from one end of the hall to other and I was constantly limping. Someone suggested that I try Softwalks and I found these. These shoes definitely have a very slight orthopedic look to them, but only when viewing the soles from the side. Otherwise, the style is super cute. When looking down at them, they kind of have the old-fashioned mary jane look to them which I love. My friends at work insisted that you can't even tell that they are an ortho type shoe. I don't think you can either, especially if they are worn with pants. These are the comfiest shoes I have ever owned. The toe box is large and comfy. I normally wear a 6 wide, but I went up a half size and got a 6.5 wide because my feet tend to swell to I wanted to leave some extra room. The size is perfect for me. The insole is so soft and cushy, it's literally like I'm walking on pillows all day. It took a few days to get used the egg carton like design of the insole, but now I don't even notice it. Just to note, I have been wearing them without socks because I wear them with capris - so one may not notice the texture of the insole as much if wearing socks. A co-worker even stopped me in the hall yesterday to tell me that I really walk differently in these shoes and she can tell that I'm not in so much pain anymore. She's right! I leave work every day pain free - which makes this one happy teacher! If you're someone like me, that has arthritis and are looking for an extremely comfortable shoe, buy this one! You will have no buyer's remorse!

Cute and very soft-comfort - but no support - I wear a 6.5EE (shoe was 6.5WW). The size is a little short- I could have done a tad bit better with the 7, but kept the 6.5 and have been overall happy. This shoe was marvelously comfortable in the same way a great slipper is - it has a full 1/2 in of foam in the insert, and is great to walk in or to exist in most of the day. The caveat is that this shoe has NO ARCH SUPPORT - and so, even with the extreme comfort otherwise, the flexibility, the quality leather, bottom line is that my feet hurt after a long day, and I wouldn't recommend it for any long walks because of this. But is feels great on, and it's cuter than the picture! One other word of warning: the leather conforms to your foot and looks very warn in (creases along the top) within just a few days. This adds to the comfort, but takes away from the original crisp look of the new shoe, if you like the new look.

It took them awhile to start to look good because they were a bit stiff looking, but they were comfortable from the start. I also have aching feet and difficulty finding shoes that are comfortable but these aren't only comfortable but have seemed to ease my plantar fasciitus. I just ordered another pair. I'd hesitated at first but when almost all the reviewers reflected very similar sentiments about the shoes and many were return customers. One said she was on her 7th pair! After a month of wearing they look cute but in a good way! Anyhow, I'm sold, I love them. I added a really nice leather arch support.

These are wonderfully comfortable. I tried other shoes before I found these... I have a very painful toe problem and can't walk comfortably in anything but sneakers. With these, I can finally look a little more professional/dressy and still walk without pain.

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I am now on my third pair. Working in retail and standing on my feet for 8 plus hours makes these shoes a must have. The cushioning inside gives them a "slipper like" quality. I wear them with socks in the winter and without socks in the summer. Best footwear ever!

3 year comparison: 1 week worn vs. 3 years heavy walking - NO care (other than added insole). The shoe would probably hold up better with some shining and I always meant to but never did. These were first for a professional event that involved a lot of walking, but afterwards they became the shoes I just threw on all the time. And on both accounts they are GREAT! Don't let the wear fool you, I didn't have a car the last few years and walked to work. These shoes took the beating REALLY well. They were so comfy I just ignored the look until finally the back of the shoe gave out. From a non-sneaker you really can't ask for it to take a better beating. They were comfy but more than that they get comfier as you wear them! The material is very breathable for this type of shoe and price point. I started in a W and had to switch to a WW when I got the new pair because they grew along with my feet. I'm not a fan of the insole they come with and use a sports insole, but again that's partly because they get walked in so much. To summarize, if you're looking for a shoe that is comfy and cute, but does require some care to stay cute, then this is your shoe! If you are looking for the shoe to stay like the picture for a long time then you should probably pick a different one. As you can see, even after a week of fairly light wear it's already starting to crease. Personally, I don't mind that, but it's good to know before you buy it.

Am I the only one who thinks these shoes run small? Very cute and I think they're comfy but I haven't found a pair to fit me! Usually an 8 does it but I ordered the 8.5. Whoa! Tight! And the 9, too snug. Still trying...maybe a 15?! Ha ha - going for the 10.

This shoe is very comfortable. I have to buckle it tight to keep my heel from slipping. The toe box is roomy, good for the toes! It is not the most stylish shoe, but with pants it works well and the comfort is more important than the look!

This is the fifth pair of this particular shoe I have bought. It's the only shoe I feel comfortable in all day at work. It's heaven!

So-I have really bad foot pain! Plantar fasciitis, high but collapsing arches and bunions on my big toes and baby toes--aggravated by working long hours on my feet. A friend/fellow employee recommended these and she had great success with them--lasted a long time for her and 'felt like walking on air, from her point of view. I was excited upon receiving them--loved the egg crate style baby-mogul inner sole. I think they would be great for someone with good arches. For me, the sole was comfortable at first, but I found a lack of toe room, no arch support and they hurt the little bunions (bunionettes) on my baby toes--ouch! I tried putting an arch support from my doctor in but it barely fit--it was much wider then the shoes, which I feel felt narrower then marked. I hated to give up the comfy inner sole, but they were not giving the width and support I needed. I alternate between Doc Martins and New Balance Sneakers with the arch supports from my podiatrist--very disappointed 'cause I wanted a casual dress shoe to wear with skirts that would support my aching feet. No luck yet! These may be worth it for some people--Zappos is great on returns if they're not right. But if you need major arch support, these aren't for you.

I have a very hard time finding shoes. I wear a 11.5 N. This is my second pair of Jupiters. I purchased the navy first, put them on and walked all day without any problems. I order the black because they look cute with jeans.

Foot Heaven! I bought these shoes to wear on a trip to Europe. I got them 2 days before the trip and didn't need to even break them in. These shoes are very versatile, and look great with skirts, dresses, pants, and jeans. They are SO comfortable that I've been buying Softwalks in other styles.

Feels Great! Just 1/2 size too short - Feels wonderful! I'm waiting until the next size up becomes available to exchange. Looks good for an orthopedic shoe. I will use an innersole because there isn't much arch support.

First of all, Zappos rocks. They are wonderful. The shoe is one of the only shoes I am able to wear. Have a sesamoid bone problem, and this cushions my foot well. Great purchase. Great company.

I do like these shoes, they're very comfy. The leather is buttery soft. Also, no nonsense makes a fitted no-show sock liner that fits perfectly in them.

Jupiter has changed a bit since I bought my first pair several years ago. The shoe is comfortable but is no longer deep enough to accommodate my orthotics. I know in time the shoe top across my toes will stretch a bit and become more comfortable, but the height of the back of the shoes will never increase. Overall, satisfied but not thrilled.

Good news for those of you with narrow feet--have we got a shoe for you! Oh, we are so sad about this shoe! Ordered for my daughter and it was exactly what she wanted--we were so excited to get the first pair, which we ordered a half-size larger than what she usually wears, because other reviews said it was running small. It was still tight--no problem, with Zappos it is so easy to just order the next half-size up. When that arrived it was still a little too snug, and now she could walk around enough to really feel that the issue was width more than length--so we didn't want to necessarily get the next size up without getting it wider too. And the shoe came in wider sizes--but alas we realized that everyone else who loves this shoe is experiencing the same thing, because ALL the wider sizes (even double wide!) are gone, from everywhere on the web, even the company's own website! SO SAD. So, this was the perfect shoe--except for it running small and narrow.

The bottom of one of the shoes started to disintegrate after not much wear. Could be a flaw in the materials.

Bought these for my daughter who has Hobbit feet (large, wide and flat) and can't find comfortable, well fitting shoes in regular shoe stores. She loves these shoes and will really appreciate them. If she loves them, they must be good as this is all she wears.

Comfort right out of the box. These were replacing a pair I just plain wore out. They look great with casual or dressy slacks. They were my main go-to for the office. I wound up ordering a half size larger but I think my foot size has changed.
