Good Shoe - This is a very good shoe for someone who has to wear dress shoes everyday. You know what you’re getting with Bostonian and they rarely disappoint.

Classy and comfortable - The deer skin high gloss cap toe seems to be a staple in most lines right now. The shoe is very comfortable though not as nice on the foot as some Italian imports. It took two phone calls to get the price-match to happen but all other service was exactly what we have come to expect from Zappos.

Nice shoe - I require a higher arch and the shoe was not designed to accommodate that. Other than that I like the shoe fine.

I bought a pair of these great looking shoes in Bostonian's "Chili" color two years ago. I loved them then and still love them now as the lost comfortable dress shoe I have ever owned. Two weeks ago I bought the same shoe in black to comlete my wardrobe. Unfortunately Bostonian is now building this shoe on a different last or something as the fit was not the same (Yeah, I did buy the same size...I'm not that blond!) the sides on the new pair come up high enough to cut into my ankle bone making them truly panful to wear. My shoemaker installed "Lifts" for $15 and that solved the problem for me, but I sure am sorry that Bostonan made this change.

Initially, I thought they were great. They looked nice, polished up nice, and they weren't too spendy. Unfortunately, after wearing them for about 5-6 months, a giant crease started to appear above the toes where the shoe folds a little as I walk. A month or two later, and the crease is bad-looking enough that I'm considering finding a different dress-shoe, as not even polish will hide the large crease.

Not so good... I ordered these from Zappos and they felt pretty good when I first put them on. Now that I have had them for two weeks, I am unimpressed. My feet hurt after every day in them now. Additionally, the insole is coming unglued on both shoes. I've never owned Bostonians before, and I don't think I will again. They look great, though.

Good shoe, bad footbed - The shoes are very comfortable. The leather on the footbed has an overlap right under the ball of the foot. When I walked, it rolled up and bunched up. I 'fixed' it with a little fabric tape.

These shoes are very comfortable but they haven't lasted. It is true that they have a non-existent break-in period (you will see this in other reviews). That was a nice surprise, but I think this translates into a shoe that doesn't last as long as others. Mine has lasted two years, but there has been a hole in the center of the bottom of one for at least six months. I wear them four days a week, on average. They now feel somewhat flimsy and, unlike my other dress shoes, this translates to me not feeling that they are worth saving with new soles. I think there may be something say for putting up with the break-in period that is typical of mens dress shoes.

Great looks, not so sure on durability. It's been 6 months since I bought the Marco. I wear them one or two days a week. I love the two tone leather, the center section is soft glove leather which extends up to the tongue. This makes for an extremely comfortable shoe, but this same soft leather is the problem. It wears quickly. Mine has already started to wear off the outer layers near the side of the ball of the foot, where it rubs for instance in the car. The cap and back look perfect. To bad I love the feel of these shoes, but I can no longer recommend for regular use. Might be a great occasional dress shoe.

A year or so ago I could have sworn that this is an exceptional quality shoe, which looks stylish in spite of the wide size I had purchased. Which is precisely the reason I purchased another pair earlier this year. I had used an identical pair for a year or so. However, this new pair I purchased is starting to give way already. I have worn this shoe about 70 to 80 times; 35 weeks times twice each week (which is much lesser than my use of the previous pair) and a hole seems to be developing on the sole. I have been careful to not use this shoe when the weather is bad, like rain or snow. I feel that Bostonian has not lived up to the quality they stood for and I am going away from the brand. due to the wide width of the shoes I wear, I have started to depend on other brands like Rockport and Allen Edmonds.

Size is untrue. Been wearing 8.5 W for years, same shoe. Buy it, wear 3 times, won't allow return to make sure I'm happy. Ridiculous.

Best shoes ever! These shoes are comfortable right out of the box. The deerskin is perfectly placed to add a comfortable flex area that leaves the shoe looking brand new. I've had these shoes for over 3 years now and have not had any trouble!

Zappos comes through again! We were having a Dancing with the Stars fund raiser for our local Chamber of Commerce and I was invited to dance. A new pair of shoes were needed that would look good, at a reasonable price and were comfortable and they were needed FAST. Zappos did it all. Quick delivery, a shoe with great comfort, with exceptional looks and at easy on the pocket price. Thanks.

The shoes were as promised in the description. I have a 4E wide foot and I found your selection better than any other retail or internet source. I was very happy to find how quickly the order arrived at my home. (2 days). They felt as if I had already worn them to break them in, very comfortable.

This model is a winner - The deer hide between toe and laces is super flexible for comfort where the crease breaks, plus the different look of this two-material construction has gotten compliments already. I bought two pair, different colors. Suggest you put rubber on the sole while their new. Excellent and a great value.

Absolutely beautiful. A bit narrow for my foot at first, it took about 6 wears to really break them in, but now they feel great, unless an unusually long time on feet or long distance to walk. Dresses up work slacks nicely or is an elegant evening shoe. Worth the money.

Excellent shoe with any suit. Great comfort. Leather wears well. One thing I do have to say is I owned 8 pair of Marco's to date and ALL had the heel (black rubber fall off). Hmmmmmm. That is the only flaw in the shoe. By that time they were looking ruff any way.

Boston Marco. Very comfortable shoe. Bostonian shoes fit my foot better than other brands I have tried, and they are reasonably priced.

Bostonian's Marco - You do not have to break the shoes in, the leather is soft and flexible. The shoes are really comfortable and look good.

GREAT OVERALL - Bostonian shoes fit my foot shape like a glove. I have a few different pairs - Akron, Bancroft, and this one, and they all fit great. Bostonian's seem to be made to fit a REAL HUMAN foot, i.e., with a wide toe box but narrow heel and instep. My Marco's say Made in ITALY, which maybe explains why they are supremely comfortable all day and look great shined up. The leather is really soft. FYI one of my Bostonian's is made in INDIA (Akron), and the leather seems to have weird lines it it after maybe 1 year.

Other Bostonian if that is your price range.

Great shoe for the money - One of the best shoes I have purchased in this price range. Only took about 3 times of wearing these to break them in. The contrasting leathers make this shoe appear to have cost 3-4 times as much. I haven't had these long enough to see how they wear, but so far they are doing fine. I would recommend these shoes to anyone that wants a good dress shoe. You won't find a better looking shoe in this price range. Zappos was great as always.

Bostonian Marco - I was doing a search for narrow dress shoes and came across this shoe. I am a B width and usually buy Ferragamo's because they are one of the very few that still offer B widths. Thought I would give both this shoe and Zappos a try since the picture looked great and I didn't really want to spend the money on Ferragamo's. Love the shoe and love Zappos. Don't get me wrong, this is not the same quality as a hand made Italian shoe, but it IS a very good looking shoe at a great price. It is a little wider than a true B width, but I wore it for 8 hours straight the very first time and had 0 discomfort. Highly recommend this shoe and Zappos.
