Zappos on Target - Zappos excellent customer service allowed me to shop as though I was going to a shoe store around the corner. Convenience and price...what more could you ask for?

I have owned the brown Gallatin for years - My pair is a least seven years old and look new. The best pair of shoes that I have ever owned. Men don't usually get compliments on their shoes, but I do often. The only downside is the back of the heel shows wear, but that can be expected. They look great regardless of the rest of your attire. I am so pleased they are still available and plan to get the black style soon.

Beautiful, stylish and comfortable - These shoes are worth every penny. I wasn't sure at first, but I love their look, their fit and their comfort. Can't wait to get the black pair now.

Quality - HS Trask shoes are great and very comfortable. I cannot buy these anywhere in El Paso, so when I saw them on Zappos site; I knew I found my new favorite shoe store. Trask shoes last forever! Quality in and out.

Good shoe- It took a couple or three days to break in, but, now they are quite comfortable. I bought a pair in black and brown. Both look good with jeans. I would recommend these shoes. Zappos was good, too.

The shoe took a few days to break in. Since then they have been very comfortable.

HS Trask Collection - These are great casual shoes. Comfortable, stylish and mix with jeans or other casual pants.

Beginning of a long relationship ... I ordered this and another pair of Trask shoes. I love both pairs and think the durability will make these shoes one of my favorites.

Great comfort... I'm a loyal trask shoe purchaser - have owned 7 pairs, and they are the most comfortable shoe that I've ever owned and they don't feel like 40 lbs on my foot like some Johnston and Murphy shoes. The shoes are DEFINITELY a 1/2 size smaller than marked.

H.S. Trask...never heard of 'em... The H.S. Trask & Co. shoes I ordered for my husband proved a theory I've always believed in: it's not a mistake to buy "expensive" shoes. Clearly these are not the most expensive shoes around. Needless to say, I don't think I/we would have paid full price for these. Thank goodness for Zappos!! The shoes are terrific. Well-made and good looking as well as extremely comfortable (according to my husband). All in all, it was a good buy and I was happy, as always, with Zappos service.

Like wearing your favorite slippers - I have been wearing Trask shoes for the past 5 years and would highly recommend them. You can wear them out of the box for extended periods of time. These shoes fit very well in business casual settings. They wear like iron.

Reconsidered - I recently sent you a review of H.S. Trask Gallatin shoes and need to ammend it. I tried the shoes on when they came in but didn't wear them. Last week I put them on and wore them around the house for most of the day. The right shoe is a good 1/2 size too large. I thought wearing a heavier sock might solve the problem, but, the heel is still loose. I noticed that the shoes are now made in Brazil. Perhaps quality control there has not caught up to Trask standards yet. I got a good fit from my first two pairs of Gallatins.

Shoes fit great and look great with both casual and dressier outfits.

My third pair - This is my favorite shoe. The bison leather is soft, yet it takes a good shine and it resits scuffs better than most sport/dress shoes. I would prefer that it have other than a cleated sole to give it a dressier look and to avoid picking up mud and pebbles. Other than that, its great. I give it a 4 in comfort because its insole is not padded quite as much as my Rockport Prowalkers and the 4 rating for looks is due to the cleated sole.

Trask - Incredibly good service and the shoe was true to size and quality.

So good I ordered a second pair in black - These shoes are well made and fit true to size. I bought a pair in the raisin color last year and liked it so much I just ordered a pair in black.

Fourth pair of the exact shoe. My favorite for comfort and fit.

Classy look and feel - I love this shoe for both looks and comfort. Got it in the raisin color which is a cross between brown and cordovan. They are light on my feet!Can be worn either with casual wear or dress up! Like all my purchases with Zappos, I am more than pleased!

My Review - This is my second pair of H. S. Trask's Gallatin shoe. They are the greatest.

A Gallatin "Repeat Buyer" Let me be honest, "I really like these shoes!" The H.S. Trask "Gallatin" is a high-quality, comfortable shoe. I now own them in both black and Raisin colors. What I appreciate: the sturdy construction; gel insole; long-wearing soles; and the fact that they're U.S. made. H.S. Trask, for a modest fee, even allows you the option of sending the shoes back for a "rebuild" when the soles wear thin! I try to purchase domestic products whenever I can, so that's why I bought this style from Trask and I prefer selected models from Sebago. The bison leather is a paradox as it wears like iron, but it is still soft and pliable. The Gallatin is versatile, too. They're equally suitable for business- casual or weekend blue jeans. What would I change?...The shoe laces. They're kind of slick and come un-tied too easily.

I really like this shoe, in fact I am probably going to order the other color soon. Very comfortable, looks good with all type clothing and can go casual or even business casual. I think they will be very durable also.

These are great shoes--very comfortable, very durable (not too shiny, so they can withstand a lot of travel!!). They are dressy enough to wear with a suit and Trask will refurbish them for about $60 when the soles wear out.

Metro Shoe for most occasions - Color: The Brown is actually more a very dark oxblood. Heel: The heel is higher than I should have preferred which contributes to your my sliding forward into the toe box; the insole facilitates this gliding due to its smooth texture. Toe box: The toe box cones towards the toe earlier than I would have designed, which gives the sensation that your small toe is wedged just a hair. This might not be the case if you have shorter toes. Overall design: Nice leather w/ good looking texture. I wear these with with a medium weight sock. Shoes go well with jeans, cords, and khakis. One note, the height of the ankle was hitting my ankle bone. I had tried Allen Edmonds, ET Wrights, and others.

A little wide! Zappos service is outstanding! According to other reviews the shoe runs small so I ordered 1/2 size larger and that was accurate. It is not, however, narrow. Quality, workmanship and materials are excellent.
