European sizing - The sizing is a little different, as they are based on European sizes (no half sizes). Go towards the larger size. I had to have mine stretched! Once the sizing issue is handled, they are truly comfy shoes.

A different experience - I work as a bartender and I need a comfortable/durable pair of shoes. Based upon coworker recommendations and reviews at Zappos, I thought I would give them a try even though I do not enjoy their looks. My review is mixed. I think they are okay. They are fairly comfortable, although not at first. It took me quite a while to adjust to the amount of lift they have. I am not used to noticing a height difference in a men’s shoe, but these are quite high.

Comfortable, but mine cracked - These are very comfortable with excellent support. However after a little more than a year, the sole literally cracked in half. Being a chef, and bending over to get in and out of the oven was the apparent reason. I was very disappointed when the Dansko people said after having them "that long" that can happen. I can't pay that much for a shoe that only lasts one year before falling apart. So don't bend over too much while wearing them, they could crack in half!!

I have PF and was excited to order these but oh so sad when they didn't fit correctly. They are the correct size as the toe area and width feel perfect but the heel area is way to large and they slide right off. Just by the way the rest of the shoe feels, I know that if I ordered the next size down to get the heel to fit, they would crush my toes - will have to look for another clog but I had high hopes due to other reviews on Dansko raving about their arch support.

Recommended by friends to help ease my heel pain. I am a true size 9 who fluctuates between M and W widths, depending. I find I'm in-between sizes with Dansko. The heel rubbed in size 39 and swam in size 40. I tried a wide with and it was way too wide. I could wear thicker socks with the size 40 regulars I've been evaluating, but then it bothers my high instep. (Dansko makes the 'Phoebe' for those with a high instep.) One of the brown clogs was darker and less-scuffed at the big toe than the other. These will scuff up quickly, so be prepared for this and be careful going up concrete steps! I was going for the closed back heel due to climate, planning to only wear them with long slacks/jeans. Because of the heel movement I'm not sure they work with any of my jeans due to 'catching' as I walk; how frustrating. Be aware that Dansko clogs are very heavy and take some getting used to. No issues with squeaking here. Although I am impressed with the workmanship I am returning and not re-ordering after careful consideration. (Overall rating is a 3 for this particular model and the espresso color.)

I got these shoes needing something with some height, but also comfortable to wear to work. Even though it was expensive, I thought it'd be worth it with all the high ratings. However, this shoe has not been comfortable on me - it is very tight at the top of my foot. I've been wearing it for 2 weeks thinking it would stretch or get more comfortable, but this hasn't been the case.

Not the same as they were - This is my fourth pair of Dansko Professional clogs in 12 years. With almost daily wear they last me approximately 3 years. But they changed their design this year. I wrote to the company and they sent me a long list of the improvements. I must say, they are not the same. Tighter, harder to slip on, and my toes keep falling asleep! Sadly, this may be my last pair as I am not liking the new design or fit.

Probably not for everyone - They are quite comfortable for standing all day. It took some getting used to for my flat feet. Because they are loose, you have to be very careful. They are also quite high. I like being taller, but I have to be very conscious when walking to avoid tipping over. Last night while walking from my car in a parking lot, my left foot went sideways, and I stumbled badly ultimately falling flat on my face with phone Ipod and camera crashing all around. I spent the evening with a very sore swollen foot and a lot of road burn on my arm.

Love the shoes but they don't last - I have been wearing these clogs for over 5 years now. Unfortunately I need to re-order the same clog every year. I am a chef and wear these shoes at work on a daily basis. Don't get me wrong, like I said I love these shoes. But for the price, I feel they should hold up longer then a year.

Look nice, but they don't fit. The shoes looked great, and the arch support was great, they were just too narrow. I have wide feet, and with other shoes have simply ordered the next 1/2 size up, but with these shoes I ordered a full 1 1/2 sizes up but they were uncomfortably narrow and felt like a much smaller shoe size. This is why I've never purchased Danskos online before, (because of the reputation for difficult fit), but I'm grateful for Zappos return policy and will be exchanging them for a different type of work shoe.

Danskos are great but... I had purchased a model 2 years previously which I loved, both the style and the fit. This pair, which are the same size, are lacking in both. I find the style dull. I knew what I was getting, but was disappointed when I realized my old style had been discontinued. The fit is odd also. They are the same size, but my toes feel tightly packed. Another size up would be too big however. I am not entirely unhappy with my purchase, however. I am sure they will last far longer than another purchase that I could have made.

Very disappointing - Very narrow sizing and unstable footing. I met plenty of people who love them, but they are definitely not for me. I returned mine the same day.

Unfortunately too small - I am a teacher and have been looking for a shoe that would keep me from having sore feet at the end of the day. I decided to try Dansko because I have heard about their comfort. Unfortunately I could barely get my foot in barefoot let alone with socks. My toes felt cramped and the top of my foot smashed.

Too tight - I have a pair of Dansko clogs that are great, but these shoes are so tight I can't get my foot in them. I ordered a full size up and they are still tight.

I've been trying to break them in for 3 days. I already ordered the "wide" but still runs too narrow. I usually wear a medium and hoping the "wide" would give more space to the side. I will still give it a few more days hoping the leather will expand in time or my feet will be another orthopedic casualty.

The shoes have stiff uncomfortable uppers that take about 3 months to break in, even though I applied oil and leather conditioner several times upon arrival and during the first month of wear. They are also heavy on your feet.

I bought two pairs of Dansko Clogs, and found the instep too low. My toes lost blood flow! I took them to a cobbler who tried to stretch them unsuccessfully. I haven't run into this problem ever before. I still believe they are high quality clogs, but if they feel tight across the instep, they aren't going to "break in"!

A real ankle twister - A comfortable enough shoe that is easy to put on and off, but if you are not always on smooth level surfaces, watch out, there is not enough support to keep your ankle from twisting over and causing a world of hurt. I had mine less than 3 weeks, twisted my ankle 3 times, the first was minor, the second kept me limping for three days and like an idiot I kept wearing them until the third twist which felt like my foot was going to explode. I gave them away.

SMALL! I work in a hospital and am on my feet for 12 hrs at a time. So after the prodding of my co-workers, I bought a pair of Danskos. I ordered a ladies 12, one size too big (as instructed) - and couldn't even get my foot into them! Had to order a man's size. So it’s really 2 sizes smaller than marked!

The 38 wide shoe was not wide enough for me. I have many normal shoes I fit into so I am very surprised I don't fit into these wide shoes. Also I have a high arch so the tops of the shoes actually cut in to my feet. I thought the shoes might stretch, but after 2 weeks of wear they still seem quite stiff.

I don't understand why these shoes get such good marks! They are hard as rocks. My feet kill me after a day in these. I have tried many different styles but they all hurt. There is absolutely no cushioning! I need cushioning due to being a teacher and on my feet all day. I just don't understand what I'm missing!

Consistently Good! It does take a long time to wear out Danskos. My favorite black professionals started to really show the wear and tear so I went with the oiled version. This pair was easier to break in and I immediately could wear them around town. I'm a 5 1/2 so I'm happy that the fit was pretty much perfect. These are great for the weekends but I just don't feel professional enough wearing them to work. That's my issue.

Ankle sprains - I would like to say that I love this shoe. My back problems have almost disappeared and I can walk for miles and never have sore feet. Also, I've had these shoes for almost a year, worn them every day and they look brand new! One big problem: I have six ankle sprains since I started wearing these shoes. The last one was particularly severe. My heart is breaking, but I may have to give these shoes up because I cannot risk another sprain. I have never found another pair of shoes that are so durable, so comfortable, and look so good.
