I've tried a lot of shoes - I'm a farmer. I abuse shoes. Every shoe I have tried in the last five years has failed after 6 months - tops. Granted I haven't owned these that long - but I can tell that it is a solid built shoe. I need a shoe with boot-like characteristics; tough, durable, waterproof, comfort, arch support. This shoe has it all. When I first received it in the mail it was really tight and I thought I would have to mail it back. The reviews on zappos.com all said to give it a day. Within 3 hours it was a perfect fit. I'm glad I had some patience. I also use an arch support insert in all my other shoes. I haven't had to use them in this shoe. So far I love it; great buy. At first I wasn't crazy about the look, but it is slowly winning me over.

Putting these boots on is so much easier than the Chelsea boots I returned. Front and back tabs are good and I use a shoehorn while pulling the front tab. My usual size is 12 medium and these boots are an exact fit, with my high arch I feel the leather over my instep is just snug, not too tight. I anticipate this will give a bit as they break in. Comfortable toe space, well rounded.

Shoes tough enough for Alaska - My husband absolutely loves these shoes. We live in Alaska so they have to stand up to pretty tough conditions. He is a mechanic and wears them to work inside the shop - they're great for that environment. They're also really waterproof, comfortable, and true-to-fit. His only complaint is the top of the foot tab takes about 3-4 days to loosen up.

I bought these for my husband, as he liked the last pair so well. They are a sturdy, long wearing shoe for someone who has to be on their feet for a long shift everyday. They even look nice!

I look like my Grandpa, but how comfortable! So these things may not make me look like a rockstar, but a more comfortable high shoe/low boot I have not found. Serious stitching. Not the cheap fall apart after three months of kneeling down stitching either. Good stuff. Highly recommended.

The fit size was perfect, it's comfortable and the only problem is you have to wear it for a day or so to break it in and then you would love the fit and style

This boot is difficult to put on. It is also quite heavy and stiff. Some of this might loosen up after wearing for some time but I just could not get into them easily enough.

My husband wanted these as a work boot. But he couldn't pull them on with a heavy sock as the boot is so high on the ankle. He wears 11 Wide. Nice looking but had to return.

Way too difficult to pull on this boot with work sox on. Hubby couldn't get his foot in the boot even though it was his exact size.

I've had 5 or so pairs of Romeos in the past 10 years..... I'm always impressed! Super comfortable for any circumstance...... working around the house. Working in the shop. Walking long distances. Hiking in the Pacific Northwest. Even 'casual' night around town.

Better than the high expectation I already had. Can’t believe I waited so long to buy my first pair. Looking back I was clearly doing life all wrong.

I have several shoes I were to work ,but I keep finding my self slipping these on because when your standing all day and your feet dont hurt, that is a good boot. They clean up great also

I buy these exact shoes for both my Husband and 14 year old son and they last longer than any other shoes we have tried for them and they do get abused, everything from daily use to farm chores etc. They are tight to get on at first, but once you are used to them they are great!! Quick shipping, great transaction

It has been over 7 years since I've had a pair of Georgia Romeo's. Loved them then and glad to have them again. Keep making them and I will keep getting them

They are heavy, but not too heavy. They have a good traction sole. easy on easy off. I walk through water and have never had a leak. Love the brown ones. I have to wear black to work in. now that I know these come in black i will buy a pair of these next year. I lovem.

It the perfect mix of a casual shoe and a boot! Good looks and comfort of a shoe with the ruggedness of a light boot! I wear them at the office and on the job site. Great at home and the workshop.

These are probably the most comfortable thing I've ever put on my feet, no kidding! I've been a Georgia Boot fan for some time now because they always fit, wear well, have good support, and are comfortable. But these Giant Romeos are just simply amazing. I see myself ALWAYS owning a pair of these. It's like a great pair of running shoes except better!

I don't usually buy slip on shoes/boots because I hate it when they slide up and down on my heel. These do not slide. They definitely take a little work to get on, but man do they fit well and stay snug. Being a little more difficult to put on is worth how they fit and feel. After a few days of break in, they are super comfortable. The quality is awesome. I hate shoes where the glued sole comes loose and starts flapping. These are made of heavy boot leather and the stitched goodyear welt means they wont come loose and can be resoled when you wear them out. For the price I DEFINITELY recommend these shoe/boots

These Georgia boots live up to the hype! They are very comfortable, well built and are slip on. The EVA liner inside the boot is well padded and allows you to be on your feet all day without discomfort. They are extremely well built with a metal shank in the midsole/outsole combination for arch/heel of support that lasts and does fall flat. The leather is tough to scuff and moves with the foot. It is stitched in solidly with the rubber guard around the shoe and the side of the boot. An additional benefit is there are very few seems in the leather upper part of the shoe. The less seams there are the less chance water/snow will get inside the boot. The slip on style makes it really easy to wear taking the boot on/off. I love this feature, no more laces! At first it is a little difficult to put on/off the boots but they break in easily in a couple of days. And most importantly my heel doesn't slip in the back. My foot moves with the shoes so there is no rubbing or blistering. The sizing of the boot is about a 1/2 size big, but most people wear their shoes too small. So picking the size you usually wear should fit nicely. Once the boots are on my feet they do not feel heavy despite clocking in at or around 1.5 lbs to 2.0 lbs. Overall I am very pleased with the Georgia Boots. They are quality boots with a price that won't break the bank, especially for boots of this quality.

Great slip on boot. Took a couple of months to break in. Great construction and quality. Just ordered another pair for my son since he was wanting to wear mine.
