The Dunham Windsor seems well designed although I needed to replace the insole with a Superfeet DMP Copper insole. The shoe is very comfortable in the heel and toe box. Even with several miles of break-in in walks of increasing length, though, I had a severe problem when using them for a 1 mile walk on pavement. They caused a severe blister on the left foot. That is why I replaced the insole with the Superfeet DMP Copper foam insole. This made the insole more comfortable and seems to have eliminated the blistering problem. The styling is great and the shoes work well for business casual use.

I ordered this pair for my husband prior to going out of town. He has an identical pair already. Needed it quickly and Zappos gave us the usual outstanding service! He seems content enough with the shoes, although ordered the same size as last time, but thought they seemed shorter.

A good looking casual walk-about shoe, comfortable, good support. Runs a tad small - my size 15 feels like a 14 1/2, but not a problem. I'd buy this again.

These shoes are quite comfortable. I have very wide feet, and these (in width 6E) are the first shoes I've ever owned that really fit well.
My only complaint is that the cushioning is okay, but could be better.

Like my last pair of Dunhams, this shoe is fairly comfortable and true to size. But it is also very stiff and is not fully broken in after a month. Well made and waterproof, my pair does not look exactly like the profile pictures, maybe because of my size 13ee.

This is my second pair of the Dunham Windsor that I've bought. I have problems with my feet and need 6E width. There aren't many choices out there, but this one is VERY comfortable and the toe box is huge. And Zappo's ROCKS!

I bought the Windsor because I have another pair of Dunhams' in brown. I thought I was buying the same shoe but the Windsor is of lesser quality. The sole is not the same quality nor is the leather. I wear a 4E and finding shoes that fit is difficult. They are comfortable but not a hiking shoe in a casual shoe look that I was expecting. However, I am wearing them regularly.

I've had these shoes since Oct 2009. Looked and felt great right out of the box. So far the shoe has held up good, however the toe area began showing scuff marks within a few weeks and it has gotten worse over time, even though I can't figure out what I'm rubbing them on.

Dunham Work Shoes -
I have purchased several pairs of this brand and model shoe. They serve me well in the summer months at work. It would be nice if they had a more durable soul and more padding on the inside. Zappos customer service and shipping is always world class.

Not a bad shoe -
The Duham Winsor is a nice surprise, the first pair of Dunham's I have tried. The shoes fit well, with very little break-in time, and I am quite satisfied. In addition, the service on zappos.com was outstanding -- I got my shoes the very next day after I ordered them!

The only shoe I can wear because of my weight -
Dunham Windsor is the only shoe I can wear to work in because of my weight. Therefore, it’s the only shoe I have worn for the last 7 or 8 years. Frankly I’m a bit tired of the style because of that. As for comfort, it’s the only shoe that I’ve found that I can work a full day in. I spend most of my days walking construction sites and walking stairs.
Wearing them everyday for work I can usually get about 6-months out of a pair before they compress and my legs begin to hurt. That’s when I know its time to replace them, when i start getting leg pain. I think that’s pretty good use, considering each step has about 400 pounds landing on it.

WINDSOR -
A very comfortable and well-made shoe. It's a bit squat in the front which makes it look much more casual than I expected.

Very good shoe for the money-
Bought these a week or so ago and have found them to be very comfortable and sturdy for under $100. They are actually a little more trendy-looking than they look in the picture. Fit is very good and were comfortable right out of the box. A few days wear breaks them in very nicely. Shoes have a nice sturdy feel to them and the soles are well made. My only real complaint would be that they have little arch support. A decent insole (which everyone should buy anyway) corrects this and improves fit even more. The waterproofed leather does scuff somewhat, but nothing more than most shoes of this type do. I can say that I would purchase this brand again in the future.
A note on Zappos... I ordered these on a Friday evening at about 7pm and they arrived the following Monday at 2pm!! That's with the standard free shipping. GREAT service with Zappos.

Just Perfect -
I was looking for a shoe to be confortable but strong enough to work in the field. Normally a wear a shoe for a full day. Previous shoes were very very confortable but for staying in the beach or in a boat not for working in a hot and harsh environment. Thanks God a choose Dunham because they have a great price vs quality. I am planning to by the brown ones. Good look.

Nice shoe -
Had to reorder a half size larger than normal. Otherwise, fit is good, look is good for business or casual, comfortable shoe.

Shoe Review -
I have a very wide foot, and a high arch. It is very difficult to find a shoe off the rack to fit me.
I needed to get 1/2 size larger size tham normal, and still the shoe was tight at the top of the foot. I suggest you go a full size larger than normal for a fit that does not need streching in if you need a wide size like myself.
I'd also recommend:
New balance has wide shoes also.

I was so disappointed when your largest size of Uggs was too small, especially after the glowing reviews. However, my spirits picked up when I saw your Dunham Windsor came in my 16 EE size. When I received them, I thought they looked much better than the site portrayed. But they felt almost too comfortable and spacious. Further looking showed you had shipped a 16 EEEE size. Since they weren't uncomfortable and it would be expensive to send them back, I kept them. I have since found that when walking downhill, my toes slide forward and hit the front of the shoe; so I won't be wearing them when I am doing much walking.

Very comfortable shoe -
I have trouble finding shoes that fit -to say the least. I'm a size B with a narrow heel. One shoe that I find very comfortable is the New Balance 991 shoe, which is one of the most popular walking shoes in America. The problem with that shoe is that it's a running/walking shoe and inappropriate for most occasions. So this Dunham shoe is a godsend. It fits >>exactly<< like the 991 series (which shouldn't be too surprising, I suppose, since Dunham seems to be a New Balance label), and, of course, it looks like a normal shoe. The only problem is that the styling is sort of boxy and clunky (in my humble opinion, anyway). It would be nice if they would improve upon the styling. Nonetheless, I'll be buying more of these.

Like many people looking at this shoe I have wide 4E feet. New Balance/Dunham has been a go-to, so I've been said to see them cutting back on their support for those with wide feet (just look at reviews for other NB shoes since 2010).
I really wanted to like the Windsor, but am now regretting my choice due to shape and due to materials. The shoe *looks* quite wide -- bulky even -- and felt *mostly* wide when I tried it. But, they are digging in painfully to both of my outer 'pinkie' toes. Comparing to some older NBs and Rockports that fit me well, here's what I noticed about the Windsor: the Windsor is wider at the toe and at the heel, but critically, it's a bit narrower through the mid-front, like at the first lace. So it's more of a straight last, less sculpted than the famous SL-2 / MOL-2 lasts used to be. Second, the shoe curves too far inward. On most shoes each toe is slightly "in" from the heel, i.e., curving a bit towards the big toe. The Windsors curve in a LOT. They also slope in on the "out" side. That means they are very roomy around my big toes, almost too roomy, but that odd shape explains why they are giving me pinkie blisters. If you have a giant big toe but small/thin pinkie side of your foot maybe they'll work.
The leather is also not very forgiving. Hopefully it'll loosen up, but in four weeks it's stayed stiff -- makes the pinkie toe problem worse, and the edges of the shoe are sort of digging into my ankle as I walk too.
The concept is just right for me -- motion control, somewhat off-road capable, waterproof, but not too 'athletic' looking. I've settled on Rockport World Tour Elite instead for fit, but the Rocks aren't waterproof (not even tounge gussets). The Dunham Outlook looks like a more normal fit, but it's much more expensive despite having fewer features.

I have extremely wide feet and have a terrible time finding well fitting shoes, so when I put on these 6E's I was pretty excited. They actually felt comfortable width and length wise. But as I sat for a while with them on, I started to feel discomfort from the tongue of the right shoe pressing against the front of my ankle, to the degree that it actually hurt. I guess it's too stiff or too long or I just have an odd foot. My left foot was fine. I really had my hopes up on a nice, comfortable pair of shoes, but I had to return them. I plan to get the mid-cut boot version as I need a pair of boots too and figure it won't have the same problem, but I was really hoping for a comfortable non-boot version.

These shoes are good looking but ran narrower than marked making them a little tight. I have not yet decided if I will keep them. Not everyone wears a 6E.

I have worn a 13 wide in all shoes for years with no problems. I immediately had to exchange the Dunhams' for a 14 wide. The left shoe is tolerable but the right toebox is too small and the tongue is too long. I should have returned them and stuck with my old brand but I wanted the waterproof feature.

This is the second pair of Dunham shoes I have purchased from Zappos, one pair of Windsor Bicycle Toes and this pair of Windsors. The right shoe of the first pair began squeaking about 6 weeks after I started wearing them. I did some research and found that this was not uncommon. Zappos allowed me to return them and I bought a pair of Windsors to replace them. The right shoe of the second pair has now begun to squeak exactly as the first shoes did. Both pair of shoes have the same sole. One of the guys at work also had a pair of Bicycle Toes with the same squeaking noise. I purchased New Balance sport insoles which did make these shoes much more comfortable than the insoles that came with the shoes. I will be returning this pair also. Based on my experience with both pairs of these shoes I would not recommend them. I will be trying another pair of Dunhams with a different sole.
