You can buy your boots 0.5 less than your size. For example, I am size 10.5 and the boots that I bought were 10.5 which were too big. So you can buy a boots size 10.

These boots are phenomenal and work well for both walking short distances and standing outside on cold MN winter days. If you want more support than the boot alone offers, it is easy enough to insert a pair of Superfeet insoles and you will be good for an extended walk/hike time. The boots are lighter weight than some heavier, more extreme versions, so they are ideally suited for a short drive in cold and snowy weather, too, without feeling like you have to change in and out of your boots for driving, or change when you get to your destination for fear your feet will overheat. Coupled with a pair of wool socks -- or on those really cold sub-zero days, there is enough room to tuck in a pair of Hotties -- these boots are ideal. I love these boots!

This is my second pair of Sorel winter boots
First I love that they fit my feet. I have had a bunion for years. It's a nightmare buying any type of footwear.
I can wear your boots for hours without any pain and discomfort!
Second - they keep my toes and entire foot warm and dry the entire time I am outside. We've had over 15 in of snow this year. My socks stay dry whether I'm out walking or using the snow blower.
I do wish they had a pair of clasp at the top to help tighten like my last pair.
It does take a little bit to get use to their weight. But I keep the weight of the boots for the excellent traction, warmth and dry socks.

I love these boots. They have a thick wool lining. They are stable on both ice and snow, good to 40 degrees below. Your feet will never be cold in these boots.

These are true to size and very warm. We just had a big snow storm in MI and I was happy to have these. I used them while shoveling almost a foot of snow and they kept my feet dry and warm.

I live in Russia ... and I can say with confidence - these boots are best for the Russian winter!
We've got a national winter shoes made of felt wool, called "valienki", but they are somewhat outdated and banter look at the present, but Sorel Caribou is very appropriate for all their heat and is waterproof!

I had been searching for a really good pair of warm snow boots for the past month. I hate having cold feet!. It came down to the sorel caribou and the LL Bean Womens lace up. After trying on both and wearing both in the house, the Sorels have won hands down! Size, weight, shape.... they are very comfortable, and have slight arch support.
Snowboots need to be big to do their job, but these also have a nice shape in keeping your feet from looking like huge moon boots!
Reviews said they size slightly larger than actual, I wear a size 8, and ordered a size 7 1/2. They fit perfectly with slight looseness to keep the warm air pocket around my feet and toes especially!
First wearing outside in ice & snow, they kept my feet very comfy. I dont think these are necessarily for walking long distances, but stay tuned as I continue to use them. I am looking forward to years of great use!!

I wear a size 8.5 wide in women's shoes. I ordered a 9 in the Sorel Caribou, and the fit was good for a winter boot, albeit slightly long. I have ample room to move my toes around, which you really need if you want to stay warm. Going a half a size up worked for me, as my feet are very wide. Someone with narrow feet might find themselves swimming in these boots if you go up a size. I wore them outside today with sub zero windchill and my feet stayed very toasty.

My Sorel's fit true to size, they were warm but a lil heavy(in which I already knew before purchasing them). We only got a few inches of snow here in NY today but I just had to put them on. I just love them.

I ordered these after reading other reviews. Normally wear size 7.5 but ordered 6.5 and they fit well with socks. I wore these on a frigid, wet day and my feet stayed dry and very warm. They seem bulky when you put them on but they are easy to walk in and easily adjust to. I love them think they are great value.

They were an early Christmas gift for my son. He said, "they are the best boots I've ever had", and he lives in the snowbelt!

These boots are amazing. I've lived in Chicago my whole life and so far these are the only ones that can handle our winters.
They are super warm and the bottoms of the boots are like cleats. Today I had to walk over several blocks of thick ice to get to work and didn't slip once.
They are a bit clunky and definitely do run big (I usually get an 8.5 for boots but got these in an 8 and they are still very roomy) so don't size up. I wish they had the alternate lining in stock that doesn't have the fur on it because I'm not a fan of the fur but they are otherwise amazing.

I bought these to replace my 30 year old Sorels. I have used them for winter and snowmobiling for all these years. They keep my feet warm for hours in subzero temperatures. Finally the leather has become brittle and I lost the eyelet for my shoe lace. If these last for 30 years I will be very happy!

Bought these for my girlfriend as she saw someone wearing them and admired them. They fit her perfectly for what her boot size is and she said they're really comfortable and warm.

These boots have been great so far. They're waterproof and durable, yet not super difficult to walk in. They've done well in the first few snowfalls we've had that have turned to snow/slush/puddles/etc. And they're stylish as well. I am normally about a size 8 in most shoes, but I ordered an 8.5 initially based on other reviewers. I had to return the 8.5 and got a size 8. The 8 fits fine. I could probably have even gotten a size 7.5, but at least I'll be able to wear nice thick socks when it gets cold.

I live in Northern MN & these will be perfect for the winter! I wear an 8.5 & I bought an 8.5. I do have room to wigfle, but when I wear my thick wool socks....it'll be perfect! I'm excited to wear them in the 1.5ft of snow tomorrow.

I am an adventure photographer based out of the Pacific Northwest but travel all over the globe. I bought these boots specifically so I could cover snowboard races without having to wear snowboarding boots, which aren't exactly the most practical to hike in when not riding. Yes, they are big and clunky but if they weren't I would question whether they could hold up to serious use (I am a 5'5" female, 115 pounds, with VERY narrow feet - bought the 7.5). I personally like the look of chunky boots, so these fit the bill. They also have an old school coolness about them - like an "I'm not mess'n around" kind of look and feel. I have a tendency to be cold all the time, but I'm pretty confident these boots, with a thick pair of socks, will keep me as warm as possible. They are very comfortable and I love the giant D rings and easy to tie laces. The leather upper is very nice, and being from the PNW there is no doubt they will get WET, so I am slightly concerned about how the leather will hold up and wear over time, but the Sorel brand is well known for it's longevity, so I will just have to wait and see. I did notice in the picture the Sorel logo is in white, while on mine (I got the Slate color) the logo is simply embossed on the side making it more subtle, which I actually like better. I see myself using these not only for snow photography, but everything from winter beach hiking to apres ski. Can't wait to dirty them up!

I got my first Sorel Caribous 25 years ago, and they have served me well through all those winters in Lake Tahoe. One of the leather D-ring flaps finally split this past winter, so I just ordered another pair to replace them. The only deep snow boots you'll ever need.

Bought the gray colored Caribou boot and wore it daily for a few years. It fells like a comfortable sneaker. No breaking in. Lived in the northeast U.S. and handled bitter cold and lots of snow. Never leaked. Kept feet dry and warm. (Sometimes I wore a foot warmer for the long days outside, so not sure if I really needed the warmer or not.) I sat in hockey rinks, participated in winter carnivals, walked dog several times a day. I lived outside in these for four months a year with snow and slush and mud. Whatever the winter throws, these boots can handle. These are not "ice-proof," however, the increased surface area, coupled with the tread, helped me stay cautiously steady on icy pavement and parking lots. If my boots were lost, I would replace them with the exact same Caribous.

So I started school where one of the items they kinda required is sub rated snow boots. A coworker recommended these and honestly I was really worried after reading some other reviews. I usually wear anything between a 9 and 10, and decided on the shale in 9.5. They are heavier than normal shoes, but I don't mind at all. It's not even winter yet and I can't wait to break these out. :D
