These are the classic American business man shoes, and you'll see a lot of Wall Street types wearing these. I think they look very stylish, and they are very well made, but it's too bad they didn't fit my foot type. Allen Edmonds describes these shoes as being made for people with long and narrow feet. I found that out after I bought them, and these killed my little pinky toe just while I was walking around the house for the initial break-in.

I hate to say anything negative about the shoe after all of the rave reviews that I've read here, but I've accumulated a few nasty scratches on the toes of these shoes in only a few weeks of wearing them as the leather seems perhaps too soft. In saying that, I love Allen Edmonds and my other pair, Brentwood, has held up great for five years of fairly regular wear. As for the Park Avenue, they fit perfectly, look great and I'm sure they'll last a long time, but I guess I'm just a little irritated about the scratches.

This is an ok shoe. It looks great, but the shoe screwed up my heel. The looser fit caused friction and a bad blister. The heel pad and tongue pad made it better. This is the consequence of a real dress shoe though. Otherwise, it's a great shoe. It is comfortable now, although just a touch narrow in the toe area. I am a natural 12, and the 11 1/2 was a little big.

This is a great quality, conservative dress shoe. The only criticism I have is that the bottom of the heel is rubber; I would prefer leather. Otherwise, they're great shoes. This order was my third pair of the same shoe. They were the first order of two pair I have been wearing daily for 4 years, and they look virtually new.

I have been looking for dress shoes in a more neutral brown. This is harder than one would think. I found the perfect color, at least for me, with the "coffee brown" color of the Park Avenues.

These are clearly well-made shoes. Timeless craftsmanship with real leather uppers and real leather soles. High quality costs more, but you get what you pay for...

The shoes looked great and were spot on the size info. I really like these. Purchased as wedding shoes for the groom.

What can one say? The best men’s shoes out there, and with an A width, where else can you go? When you work on your feet, shoes are the most important part of your wardrobe. Unfortunately, these also last forever, so unless one is greedy, another pair is a while in coming... Thankfully, you have other men’s shoes in narrow widths, because one isn’t at work every day all day!

Fantastic shoe made of very high quality leather. I went to my local Allen Edmonds store and got fitted and I recommend you do the same. Zappos had a great price with one day shipping. I believe this shoe will last a long time if taken care of and it looks very classy, highly recommend it!

Great shoe. Allen Edmonds are pricier than many shoes but for me, they last longer, are rebuild-able, and offer me greater comfort. This shoe is crafted with an exceptional eye to detail and it is obvious that quality is there in every-way. The sizing for me is true 'dress' shoe size; that is that I order a bit of a smaller size when ordering a dress show than I do when ordering a sneaker.

I've bought cheap dress shoes for years because I didn't want to spend "Allen Edmonds" money. I've also always had foot pain and lower back issues when walking around all day with my work (architectural photographer).
I could kick myself after finally trying a pair of the classic Park Avenue shoes. All these years I've been missing out!
I have a high arch and halfway between D and E width feet. I'm hard to fit, is what I'm saying. Right out of the box these were a perfect fit. A good snug fit, but no tightness or rubbing anywhere! They also feel a bit lighter than cheap dress shoes. I almost don't feel like I'm wearing shoes.
On the first day of wearing them, the typical arch and heel pain I was feeling from my cheap dress shoes that morning was gone by that afternoon after wearing my new Allen Edmonds for half a day.
It took less than a day of wear to be able to stretch and wiggle my toes inside them, important for comfort and natural healthy foot movement.
My cheap shoes also never lasted more than a year or two before looking bad and falling apart around the soles, so I'm anxious to see how the higher quality leathers and construction hold up to their reputation on the AEs. :)
Yes, I was gritting my teeth a bit when paying for them, but these things define the phrase "you get what you pay for".

This is my first pair of AE shoes and I've really liked them. I wear them in an office environment and they've held up 9 months of 5 day a week wear as my primary shoes. I'm replacing the heels and soles for the first time. I'm using the mail in AE "recrafting" service, which costs $125 (they include shipping both ways). This is a bit expensive to me. I'm used to going to a local Italian cobbler for sole/heel replacement, but I'm figuring it's worth the splurge given the price of these shoes. I have wide feet and returned the "E" size for a 3E; hence I'm saying they run a bit narrow (for me). I also have flat feet and use the black SuperFeet insoles, so that's why I rated "no arch support." The insoles may also be why E wasn't wide enough. The length for me was fine, so I rated "Felt True to Size." I was a bit surprised that the finish was not shiny, but a more of a matte black. Others have said their shoes shine up really great, but mine stays matte black. On prior shoes (which I still own, but rarely wear), I add extra shine with a spray called "Master Quick Shine" that I sourced from my cobbler.

I was hesitant about spending this much on a pair of shoes, but I must say I am very happy with these. They fit perfectly and are very comfortable overall for dress shoes. The style is, of course, excellent, as you can see from the pictures. I do receive compliments on them, so that is nice too!

I bought these for my husband as a step up from the Bostonians he usually gets. He says they are comfortable shoes, and people at work notice he isn't clacking down the hall anymore. I think they look nice and seem worth the price so far!

It's the end of an 11 and a half hour day, and I'm still wearing them, at home, with my feet up. They feel like slippers.

These shoes fit like a glove. They are about a 1/2 size longer than your usual shoe but also a touch narrow. I typically wear a size 11.5E; in this shoe I wear an 11EEE. The Park Avenue is made from heavier leather than other Allen-Edmonds like the "Strand" or the "McAllister.” The Park Avenues will take longer to break in.

I've had my pair for three years, through re-heeling and thick and thin. They feel comfortable and fit perfectly. They take a shine well. The only reason I need to order a new pair is that my shoe was gashed as I was moving a Steinway Grand. Thanks to the sturdy, thick leather, my foot was OK!

This is a great shoe, expert craftsmanship, and it's "Made In The USA." What else could you want?! Though this is a narrowly designed shoe, an "E" fit me well.

Highly recommended. They were extremely comfortable from minute one, day one. With these, I never worry about comfort even when I'm on my feet all day or during those long days traveling through airports. Pricey? Yep. Worth it? I spent a lot of money on tires for my car recently, and to be brutally honest, my feet are priceless. So, while these shoes are pricey (by my standards at least), this will be my second pair (the first pair are over 2 years old and are in fine shape other than needing new soles which is pretty good given that I have worn them 5 days a week during this period) as I can't find anything near the comfort and overall value. Highly recommended.

This is my first Pair of Allen-Edmonds Shoes. I have been dissatisfied with Men's dress shoes due to the lack of quality in the leather and comfort of high end (expensive) brands. I decided to try Allen-Edmonds primarily based upon the reviews listed on the web page regarding comfort, fit, and quality. The fit is true, the comfort (even on the first day) remarkable, and the quality of the leather is excellent. They take a good shine and last all day looking terrific. I will continue to purchase this brand. They are definitely worth the money.

These are the best pair of shoes! My husband says that these are the best "no shoes" shoes he has worn... it feels as if he's not wearing any shoes at all. They're a bit pricey though.

These are the best all around business/dress shoes! I have worn this shoe for business/dress for many years. I bought a new pair when I retired; I think they will be around after I am. This is a classic look, much cleaner than wing tip. Professionally shined they look like patent leather; I wear them to the occasional formal! They're comfortable immediately.
