I suppose that at one point UGGS really were HIGH quality. I will never know because I haven't ever seen or worn a pair from 7+ years ago. Now that they are being made in China, I think we pay a substantial amount of money for boots that just go through the shoe mill. I marked them down on comfort because, obviously, there is no arch support. I also pulled out an old pair of Old Friends boots to sell on Ebay the other day. Hadn't looked at them for years nor worn them for years. I noticed how much thicker the shearling inside was! Probably double the thickness of my new UGGS for less than half the price. They also stand up straight when you take them off (you know, some STRUCTURE). I have them 3 stars on style because I don't think they're the greatest looking boots. I love the chestnut but figured they'd get dirty way too quickly so, what did I do? I ordered the brown. And, even after coating them with a protectant, they still look kind of old after only having them a month! Overall, I decided to review when Zappos sent me an email to do so because I wanted to give my opinion that there is so much hype over these and they are just "meh".

I read a ton of reviews before purchasing these (I bought the light pinkish tall ones that were recently on sale). Not sure of what size to buy, I purchased both the 8 and 9. I typically wear somewhere between an 9-9½ in shoes. The 8 felt good but are just a tad bit too short - my toes touch the front of the boots. The 9 feels huge, almost like they are an entire size too big! I am tempted to return both and get two new pairs of the same size - just to see if by some chance, other pairs fit differently. Otherwise, I will have to return both and settle for nothing. I am very disappointed. The size difference between the 8 and 9 just seems too big.

I love the comfort of this boot. However, the top is a little snug on my leg and I may have to opt for another style. Especially if tucking in jeans.

You can't beat this classic boot for winter comfort and ease. We've had tons of snow and I needed something to wade through it all while keeping my feet warm. These boots never fail in that dept. Within days of getting this pair, I was walking in my driveway and had a stick puncture the toe of the boot, leaving a hole. I've had pairs make it through 3 winters w/ no damage. Zappos replaced them immediately, which was great. I hope the new pair lasts longer.

I thought I'd give Uggs another try after having foot surgery to fix a flat foot/flexible arch problem. Their no comfort/cushion continues but is too noticeable for me. The bottom is very hard and flat. But I did order a 7 vs. an 8 - fit fine.

I like the Uggs boots. They are soft inside and warm enough. I also have a knock off pair so I was dying to see the difference. The quality of the inside is obviously better, because of the fur. But overall, I would say that the Uggs you basically get the brand name more than anything. The differences are not that great. I didn't think it was much warmer or much nicer than my knock offs, but I love saying that they are Uggs. So that's my honest opinion about the boots. Zappos was great though, fast and easy to order.

The non uggs boots, who look like uggs are not much different.

These shoes were so comfortable but unfortunately VERY unflattering on my feet. I was so disappointed that the shoes started to slouch after less than a week. Yes, they are comfortable shoes but anyone looking for a fashionable look will not find it here. The Sunset Ugg, however, is so much sleeker and offers the same comfort. I returned these and I still don't understand why people love these so much.

Love the fit and comfort, but hate the black dye on my feet after wearing these boots for the first time!

Definitely order a size down - I typically wear a 9.5 and followed the advice of many and got a 9. After a few wearings, it really stretched. If I could return I would, but I've already worn outside.

I like everything about it, but the fur insides sheds and I wear it with black leggings so it gets on my leggings too. I wear a size 6-6.5 and I ordered a 5 and they fit perfectly.

New Uggs not really the same as originals - I received Women’s Classic Tall Uggs. These were to replace my originals purchased around 1990. However they are not the same as the "originals". The shearling is not as thick and plush resulting in the boot feeling too big (Size 5)and not as cozy as even my really old ones are now. Also the boot height seems not as tall. Has anyone else found that their replacements are not "as well made/comfortable/plush" as their originals?

I like the shoes, but every time I wear shoes, the black dye comes off from the shoes and my legs and feet inside of shoes become black when I take it off.

very bad quality as of late; please stop manufacturing in China. Cheap slippery plastic-like bottom, fuzzy fur that sheds, very tight across the top ankle seam. Not worth it anymore. My old UGGS are so much better quality.

While the footbed felt true to size, my calves are too big for this boot. This is my 2nd attempt at Uggs and it's not working out so well.

I bought these as a birthday gift for my girlfriend. She wears a size 8 in Uggs. She told me that these felt too small. I will be exchanging these.

I've had 6 pairs of Uggs over the last several years. They are all the original real sheepskin fleece lining. The new Ugg-Pure is a completely inferior product. It's a highly processed wool on a polyester backing and not nearly as warm, cozy, plush or comfortable. So extremely disappointing... I have very cold feet and Ugg boots used to be the only warm boots I could find. So buyer beware if you are used to the 'old' Uggs, you may be very disappointed.

To all veteran UGG owners. I am a LONG time UGGER ....I received two pairs of tall classics for Xmas. I have noticed the quality has noticeably declined. What happened UGG? I have boots from a couple years ago and they are made so perfect and the quality is amazing. These 2015 classics I got are thin and lighter and seem to not have the quality of the lining inside. Totally a difference and it's a bummer. I have heard UGG plans on taking the phase 1 of classics off market soon (April?) then introducing a CLASSIC II phase ....hopefully the quality comes back. If I wanted to pay less I would buy one of the generic UGG wannabes. I don't so I pay willingly for the real deal. If I am paying close to two hundred bucks for boots UGG ...I would appreciate the quality and comfort I fell in love with years ago.

Very disappointing, Ugg changed the materials inside and the fit. Will have to return. Wish they would go back to how they used to be!

Very disappointed. I hate the look of this new style. I have always loved this ugg boot. Of course, my current pair are 17 years old. The pair before that were 10 years old. I have own them since they first came out on the market (when only ugg made them.) The old style was so warm and cozy I lived in the boot all winter (we jokingly called them 'the ugly boot') They last forever but now the rubber sole is too thick and hard looking. They really are ugly now. They look terrible on large feet. Very disappointed...I was so looking forward to a new pair. If you like the look, though, you can't go wrong buying an ugg boot.

I wanted to love these so badly, but they are not made for someone with a larger calf. I tried them on without socks or pants and they were very, very snug! So, back to Zappos they go! I ordered the Ugg Lattice Cardy instead and they fit much better over my legs.

Zappos has the best customer service, but Uggs seem to have gone down in quality. The UGGPure material that replaced the sharkskin is terrible. We seem to be paying for the name and not for quality.

I have several pairs of Ugg Classic boots, both short and tall. This pair of the tall classic Ugg size 10 did not fit like all of the other Ugg boots I have in size 10 that I bought several years ago. Very disappointed. I must return them.

It's been a couple of years since I've bought a pair of Uggs. UGGpure is terrible. Disappointing that they would reduce their quality so much.

The sle on the Classic Tall is stiffer than on the Classic Short. It also seems slick and slippery. They would not be good for icy conditions. The seam over the top of the ankle may hit in the wrong place for some women.

I have wore these boots about a dozen times. The back seam on one of the boots came undone - not wearable. Is there a warranty on these boots?
