These Shoes Are Awesome! I am a new Zappos customer, and these shoes were my first purchase. I was a little skeptical about buying shoes online, since you can't try them on before you buy them. I finally decided to give online ordering a try after hearing about this service, their guarantee, and free shipping. And I must say it was a pleasant experience. I was pretty satisfied since they upgraded my shipping to next day for free. So, about these shoes; I just got them today because I accidentally used my billing address as my shipping address (be sure to double-check!) I was a little nervous opening them because I thought they wouldn't fit, but I was wrong. I have been wearing these shoes since the second I opened them, and they are great. I normally wear a 13.5, but I got a 14 since the reviews talked about them being a half size too small. And yes, they do have pretty minimal arch support. But they do look pretty stylish. The only comment I've been getting so far was that they look like golf shoes, but I really don't care what they say as long as they're comfortable (which they are!) I am not looking into returning these anytime soon (although the option is available). Overall, I would rate this service 5-stars (I'd probably give the shoes the same amount of recognition) I couldn't be happier with my first online shoe purchase, and will probably use this service again in the future. Comfortable classic - Stylish, good-looking and comfortable -- Sambas have been around for awhile. I am on my second pair now, and hope to be able to get a 3rd pair in a year or so when these wear out.

Pros: Very comfortable and lightweight compared to the rain forest. It can be found with a variety of options such as insulation, steel toe, full leather, or cordura. It has excellent support and traction considering I work in residential construction and there are always pieces of rocks, bricks, mortar, and wood scraps around to trip or twist on. Finally best of all Made in USA! Cons: Narrow toe box, my toes feel pinched after working 10 hour construction shifts. I should have got a size wider but it’s hard to tell when they are new. I also had to add a pair of Superfeet inserts for more arch support. The perforated plastic inserts that came with the boot were not enough. Because of the insert there is very little space between my toes and the roof of the toe box which causes more pinching when squatting or kneeling. The sole of the boot has a convex shape that causes the center row of lugs on the sole to wear down much faster than the outer rim. I've worn these boots daily for 9 months and the center lug is almost smooth. I purchased my pair from a discount shoe store locally so I don't know if it is a consistent problem or a defect. I expected the sole to last much longer than this. I plan on resoling them next summer since I switch to my winter boot soon. I would also prefer a speed lace system as an option in the future. All in all an awesome boot, IF you get the right size! Or else it can be a $240 pain in the foot. Order them online and wear them inside for a couple of days before taking them out for play. I have also worn these hiking and took a nap with my feet in a mountain stream. Very waterproof!

Very good shoes - I play a lot of soccer and my feet get so sore because of my crappy cleats. So I asked for some new shoes and my mom showed me these Sambas. We ordered some and they are great. Very stylish and you can play soccer in these also with using cleats. I would strongly recommend these to people that want or need comfortable shoes. Good arch support also.

Adidas samba classic. Best shoe I have ever owned. Really tough rough shoe. They get great grip on the pavement even when it’s very wet. You can run fast to in them.

Great shoe - Definitely needed to go 1/2 size larger. Great for general use, look awesome with everything.

Lasted a whole year of husband's abuse! I bought these for my husband because I owned a pair in high school and they were very comfortable. They lasted him a year, that's pretty good especially where he is very hard on his shoes. They were true to size and width for him so no need to exchange them and he was very happy with them. We recently replaced them with Carload by Simple, but would buy Samba by adidas again! Nice classic look, great comfort.

Best Shoe Ever - I've always had a pair of these since elementary school and I can confidently say they are the shoe I would like to be buried in. No joke. It's great and looks stylish with anything, especially high black socks. To all the people saying "don't wear them with shorts", I have a remedy for that. Just take the tongue and fold it along the line that runs across the bottom of the Adidas label and stick some duct tape underneath there to hold it in place. The tape will never come off and they will fit slightly more snug and will also look fantastic with shorts. Buy this shoe!

The ultimate in athletic style - I LOVE Sambas -- I've had several pairs in my life, 3 black and now a white pair. They last a long time, but eventually they wear out...a fact of life. The white ones are super-stylish, and I didn't even know Adidas made white ones until I saw my boyfriend's brother sporting a pair. They look fantastic with jeans or khakis, and I am looking forward to dirtying them up a bit, as they look "sterile" at the moment. :-) I wear women’s 8.5 in Adidas and order a 7 in men's shoes, they fit great. Highly recommended.

Great shoes - Comfy and cool-looking. While they're technically soccer shoes, I wear them as casual shoes and I love the classic, hip style. Surprisingly cushy and comfortable even after a lot of walking. They feel a little narrow at first and require some break-in time, but still feel good. The huge long tongue looks weird with shorts (unless you're playing soccer) but I just wear them with pants and they're great. I recommend these if you're looking for stylish, comfortable casual shoes.

That's why it's called the Samba Classic... It looks good, feels good, garners compliments from everyone, and arrived within 30 hours of purchase...how could I not love these shoes? If you've never worn Sambas before, give them a try. They seem narrow for the first ten minutes or so, but power through it, and you'll be rewarded with the sweetest pair of shoes ever. This is my fourth pair, and it seems they changed somewhat in the late 90s, but they still last me four-plus years of every day wear...it’s unlikely that I will ever be without a pair of these shoes in my entryway.

I bought these for my husband because I have a pair that I wear for indoor soccer and he liked them. He hasn't taken then off for almost 2 weeks. I love how they perform on the field and he loves wearing them to work.

Great All-Around - I was a bit skeptical before buying these because they looked a bit odd seeing as how they are, after all, indoor soccer shoes. However after wearing them a few times I saw I was wrong. First off, they are extremely comfortable; the long tongue may look bizarre, but it only made the shoes better. I can slip these on and off w/o tying the shoelaces and they still stay on fine. They are very easy on the ankles and just simply as comfortable as can be. I won't hesitate to buy another pair when mine wear out.

Classic look - Looks fantastic with anything, just can't wear them with shorts unless you use these for soccer. The tongue is extra long which is absolutely hideous but for the price it's worth the compromise. I have wide feet so these are definitely a bit snug at the front.

Always satisfied - I have been buying this shoe now for 10 years or so as my everyday shoe and have never been disappointed with the look and comfort, despite its lack of arch support; it's a classic that will never go out of style. Highly recommended!

Fantastic! Adidas has certainly sold me on this one shoe alone. I tried Puma Roma shoes out first, but the Adidas is much more comfortable. Zappos customer service and shipping is second to none. No complaints on the shoe or the company!

Awesome shoe. This shoe is an awesome shoe. The only down side is that the leather in front needs constant cleaning if you don’t want it to look brown/green, just to let you know. Otherwise it is a very very good shoe and I strong recommend it.

Zappos does it again! I bought this for my son to use for indoor soccer. We tried two local stores in our area and they had no size available. So I told him we'll try Zappos. I ordered Thursday, after 2:00 pm, and to my amazement, the shoes were delivered the next day at around 12:00 noon, just in time for his game this Saturday! Up to now, I can't understand how Zappos does it! Anyway, the shoes are exactly what he wanted--great traction for indoor soccer, great fit, not very narrow like other brands of soccer shoes. All his soccer buddies use this brand and style, too, so we really knew what to expect. By the way, he uses a size 10.5 in regular tennis shoes and he always sizes down on soccer shoes and it's the same with this brand.

Perfect shoe - I'm a woman who if 5'10" tall not to mention the fact that for some reason I always feel like I have to break in shoes until they fit comfortably needless to say I have a really hard time finding shoes that are perfect. When I put these shoes on, there was no pain, no need to break them in. They were perfect right out of the box.

A classic - The Adidas Samba is a classic, it has comfy leather upper and a great rubber sole, they go well with jeans and you can walk for hours in them. They are a staple for my college kids.

GREAT! Make sure to get the right size... it is actually larger than it says it should be, so order on the small size because it will stretch. But great casual, perfect shoe.

Love this shoe - indeed a classic! I've been wearing Samba Classics religiously since 8th grade... more than 20 years! It's a terrific shoe for almost any purpose: casual wearing, going to the gym, and it's even classy enough to wear to a cocktail party without looking too informal. Plus, it's good for pretending that you're still a soccer player :)
