Mephisto is an amazing shoe. I have a high arch and this is the only sandal that I have found that has great arch support and looks great. I started wearing this style of Mephisto after foot surgery 10 years ago and could not imagine life without them. I live in Florida so I pretty much wear them all year long. Thank you Zappos for offering such an awesome shoe and such quick shipping!

This is an extremely comfortable sandal. It gives great support for someone with a pronation problem. I have 2 pairs and wear them constantly.

These sandals are really cute and I wish they had fit, but they are not wide enough for my 7W foot. Please make wide widths, Mephisto!

I was buying this shoe with much confidence as I have the same one in tan leather and live in them. They are extremely comfortable. I have had four surgeries on my foot and have to wear a shoe with this kind of firm arch only. This adds a little of a dress-up look to my outfits.

Love, love, love these! I'm on my second pair and wore out the first pair. It's January and I'm still running around in these! Very very comfortable shoes. If Mephisto ever discontinues them I'm gonna cry.

Mephisto Helen is so popular. I've tried other Mephisto shoes and love most of them. This particular style and material is more comfortable for me than the shiny leather ones.

These are my absolute favorite shoes. I started wearing them many years ago after having plantar fasciitis. The arch support is incredible and the shoe is, overall, the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn.

I have owned these sandals for over three years and I absolutely love them. I can walk forever and my feet do not get tired. I am getting ready to order another pair since I have worn these out and have had them refurbished once already.

These sandals are as attractive as they look online. The fit is true to size and they are very comfortable. No break-in time to speak of. I love Zappos, I have never been disappointed by either product or especially, customer service. Recommend them to all.

These are absolutely the most comfortable shoes in my closet! I own several pairs as I am walking all day while working with children. I later purchased a pair for my mother after she had knee surgery, she is now hooked as well. I agree with another buyer that the sizes may differ from one color to the next but with Zappos' exchange policy it has never been a problem to get the right fit!. My suggestion, is not to think twice about buying these sandals!

These have become one of my favorites. The arch is very good which is always good. I tend to have a narrow foot (or at least used to be) and they pretty much just fit. Started with a brown pair and liked and wore them so much I ordered another in black. In my opinion they are as attractive as comfy. Just a very good all around sandal.

I normally wear 11 narrow (42 in Birkenstock sandals) but thanks to other reviews I ordered 12 (there is no narrow) but interestingly enough they fit perfectly. I have worn Birkenstock sandals for several years because they were the only ones that had good arch support and fit my long narrow foot, but based on reviews for these shoes saying that they tend to run narrow, I decided to try them out. They are worth the price as they are very comfortable and well made.

At last. I have very low volume, 12aa feet. The 42 fits comfortably enough two of my toes could use a little longer base, but that is always the case. If a shoe is long enough it is inevitably too wide across the ball of the foot. They look good too. These long skinny feet seldom find attractive comfortable shoes. These are great. Thanks, Zappos.

Foot Fondlers - I now own six pairs of Mephistos and three of those are Helen. I am now almost totally addicted to wearing these sandals. I do need to buy one whole size larger than normal.

Very comfortable! I have narrow feet with low arches, so I am on a constant quest for comfortable shoes that fit well and are supportive without being too clunky-looking, especially since I'm on my feet all day. These fit the bill! The size 9's fit my 8 1/2 AA foot well. I highly recommend them and will try other Mephistos in the future.

Wonderful - These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I´m on my fifth pair of these and plan on ordering fiver more pair.

Massaging - If you suffer from plantar fasciitis, these shoes relieve the pain and serve to massage your arch. I have walked miles in these without feeling disabled afterwards!

The best sandals ever! These are the best sandals I have ever owned. The year I bought them I wore them every day from mid-May through Mid-November. Usually I take my shoes off the minute I get home, but I would find myself wearing my Mephistos 'til I went to bed. They are stylish and comfortable. What more could you want?

Years ago, Mephisto made wonderful thong slides which had a triangular upper. I lived in them for years, most comfy shoes ever. These, like others I have tried from them, are too short. My toes go over the raised rim. They also feel rough and scratchy in Nubuck, particularly in one spot. So, didn't work for me. I have chronic pain and would really appreciate Mephistos bringing back the old style with normal toe post instead of loop.

Ordered this style in 2 sizes 38 (my usual) and 39. Fit was good in either, felt really great re: arch support (and I have high arches), but the toe loops on both sizes were stiff and felt like blisters waiting to happen. Don't know if it was the shoes or just my toes, but both sizes went back.

I tried these and a pair of regular width Birkenstocks for comparison, and my feet felt like they nestled better in the Birks; with the Helens it felt as though my feet were on top of the shoes rather than securely inside them. My feet aren't wide overall, but I do have bunions which make the forefoot wider than the rest of the foot. The Helens are very well made and I can see why they're so popular; just not for me.
